  I just installed windows 7 in my laptop HP G42-475DX and it seems that I am not able to connect to wireless netwrok.

  When I check the devices and the prinrters, I noticed:

  Network controller showing a yellow own with! When I clicked on Netwrok controller, he said:

• Satellite A300-1MC - WLan is not working - no network controller

  Just bought Satellite A300-1MC.
  It does not recognize Netgear wireless network (even with 'walk' "and switch alt F8 active), or a BT HomeHub network (is not 'see' their at all).

  To check device manager... can not see that there is no installed... wireless driver no wireless card doesn't seem to be listed. (Network controller has a yellow exclaim question). Network card installed is REALTEK RTL8102E PCI... which I think takes care of the wired ethernet connection).

  Any ideas how to get operating a wi - fi connection? (I have "worked around" the issue of a Wi - Fi connection using a card spare provided by NetGear USB, but I would get the internal card to work.)

  Should I have the software for the network controller? If so, what & where I get it? Or a driver for the card Wi - Fi internal? If yes what is it and where to get them?

  Any help much appreciated.

  Well, I think you mixed with something.
  The LAN card is Realtek but the WLan card comes from Intel!

  So if you wifi card doesn't work I recommend that you download the WLan driver from this page:
  http://195.182.196.33/WLAN/?page=downloads

  Here you choose the Intel PRO/Wireless 3945/4965/5100/5300 driver that should work for sure.

  There is no information online on what model of card wireless (network controller) of your laptop is.

  Thank you for posting material ID for the network controller, so I know what model wireless card it is and then I'll post the link for the driver, you need to.

  To find the hardware ID, go to the Device Manager and click on the network controller who need the driver.

  Then click on the Details tab in the upper part of the window network controller.

  Now you will see a drop-down list of property and it will be set to the Description of the unit.

  On this list and select the 2nd (Hardware ID).

  After the first string of characters you see in the window.

  Hello, I just formatted my laptop and now when I goto the Device Manager I see an icon missing drivers. I already have a full windows update. Its about "(USB) Universal Serial Bus controller". I tried to find the drivers to support page here to toshiba, but when I tried to install it, it says that it can be installed with SP1 and I have SP2. So my question is, where can get the drivers for it?

  Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I read your thread on your HP laptop and the USB doesn't work does not correctly. Here is a link to solve the USB connections.

  I would like to uninstall all listed in the universal serial bus controllers list.

  Please note remove any and all USB devices and remove the memory card in the slot of the card reader. Disconnect all non-essential devices before you uninstall the controller Universal serial bus.

  Restart your computer, and then insert the USB device.

  Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant. Simply download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system.

  File name: sp71393.exe

  The second driver is directly from the assistance of your notebook page and this is certainly one you need for the device 6007.

  Try to install manually as follows...

  Go to Device Manager and click on the unknown device of 6007 requiring the driver.

  Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.  Select her browse my computer for driver software option and find the folder of the driver that was created when you ran the file.

  This file will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp71811.

  Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and see if the pilot goes like this.

  Then restart.
