Hi Alain, I just contact Pearson VIEW and ask the capitalization correct for you avoid problems in the future. You can contact them at the pearsonvue.com/oracle/contact. I realize that I have provided the same answer to this request in blog comments, but I also wanted to provide the info here, in which case another candidate has the same question.

    Hello

I want to use a USB card pour the generation of signals.

In Max, I created a virtual map.

Do not use the assistantDAQ pour reasons of program size.

So I create stains "in hand."

But here, when plug-in the VI "create a task" with such name as "Electron gun", the first execution is correct, but I don't see this task in Max (even after refresh, rebooting max etc...)

Of course, when I reexecute the vi, I got an error "the specified task name is in conflict with a task name that does not exist.". Except that the task does not appear anywhere in max, or task list.

    So, I can't delete it...

    How do I?

    Thank you...

To remove the task from the memory, I have to restart labview.

But why, when I create the task manually, I don't see in Max?

If I even DAQAssistant, I see the new task

You need not restart LabVIEW to delete the task in memory. You just need to delete the task. If you do this, the task will not be available to use, and you must restart it.

The task is not set up to MAX if configure you it manually. He created these tasks virtually if you do it manually in the program. It exists only in memory during execution of the task.

  • XP Clone domain names conflict

    Guys,

I installed version track of VMware View 4 and I have a question related to the cloning of the workstations. How do you overcome the problem with clones having the same domain name? I get an error each time for what I consider obvious reasons I created the machine virtual original as a customer of area with necessary applications then used it as a computer of gold for cloning. I guess I am doing something wrong as this seems a pretty obvious problem for me, so there must be a solution.

    Look forward to your responses.

It is not correct. The Gold Master must be joined in the field. The change of name of the clone is made by quickprep while deploying.

  • Generate the name auto for primarykey

    Hello.
I need to create primarykey programmatically from c#.

    My sql looks like this:

    ALTER TABLE AAA
ADD the PRIMARY KEY of the CONSTRAINT AAA_PK
    +(+
    Column1
    + COLUMN2 +.
    + COLUMN3 +.
    +)+
    ENABLE;

The problem is that I don't know if the name primarykey is already taken so I need to run another query before:
    SELECT COUNT (CONSTRAINT_NAME) FROM USER_CONSTRAINTS WHERE CONSTRAINT_NAME = 'AAA_PK. '

I don't want to run two queries whenever I create a new PK and I don't matter how this PK is called so I wonder if there is an option to allow Oracle to generate new name itslef.
    Something like (pseudocode):
    ADD CONSTRAINT * PRIMARY KEY...

Yes, you can use names generated by the system, but personally I do not like. It can create problems with import, you can not remember and you need dictionary of query data every time that you need the name. Suggestion - naming standards. If you name table_name_PK PK you are guaranteed to not run into name conflict and it is easy to maintain. In any case:

    SQL> create table aaa(c1 number,c2 number,c3 number)
      2 /

    Table created.

    SQL> alter table aaa
      2 add primary key(c1,c2,c3)
      3 /

    Table altered.

    SQL> select constraint_name

      3 where table_name = 'AAA'

  • Why Muse does not change the names of certain images or property when exporting to HTML format?

Why Muse does not change the names of certain images or property when exporting to HTML format? and how can I keep the integrity of the name that the image/file has been saved as?

General Muse renames a file imported image if the image is modified to achieve the design or the exit, or if the name change was necessary due to a name conflict (two different images which had the same file name when importing).

The design-time features that will modify an image include cropping, rotation, rounded corners and effects (drop shadow, bevel or glow). It is also true that, in rare cases, Muse will merge an image with other content to optimize page download performance. An example of this would be to place a background image on a block of text that contains the text using system fonts. In this case, rather than a single image for text output and a separate image for the background, Muse will combine the two into a single image.

If an image is placed or imported by Muse and not tampered with, the image is crossed without modification (including the file name) at export/publish (with him except that Muse will always rename if two different images with the same name).

  • Bind To AD with full of users OD.

    Hello

I anticipate the future expansion of the devices. Currently I have a lot of users OD, but I'm sure that in the future some application may require a Windows operating system to use.

So my question is, is it possible to link an OD to AD and not to lose any information?

    Thank you

    Henry

Yes like all of the users in OD exists in a different directory/database. RealNames, short, Guid etc would be different anyway, but I've seen issues in the past with name conflicts where the groups were named the same.

  • The problem of migration - how to reverse?

I tried to migrate data from another user on my McBook Pro, so that I could have all the data through my profile, sign in.

Conflicts re log in names reported Migration Assistant and I changed the.

Then, the migration has taken place but included all my existing profile data. So duplicate everything.

I tried to restore via Time Machine, but it had no back ups as being accessible, I guess, because my log in name has changed.

Instead of having one profile log, I now have three!

    Help!

How can I reverse the migration?

I tried once but reported insufficient disk space!

How can I reverse the migration?

Using system preferences > users and groups, remove the migrated user accounts that you do not want.

Maybe what you want to do was to replace a user account with another with the same named on your other Mac. MY will assign them unique names in the case of a name conflict, resulting an account essentially duplicated. It tells you, he'll do it, but the dialog box there is place is easily overlooked.

If you have a user account with a name such as Alistair for example and want to migrate "Alistair" of the other Mac, there are two workaround solutions. Ask, if that's what you experience.

  • Sensitive to normal?

    Hello

I have OS X El Capitan version 10.11.4 on MacBook Pro (retina, 13, 2014). I use mac for a month. Everything is going well except one thing: case-insensitive type of boot disk. Steam is ok, I can install it on another partition and other applications too, but soft Adobe cannot. I would like to turn my drive case sensitive to normal, but I don't know how to do this. I don't want to lose my data. I have two tips.

1 is iPartition - really save the solution? Can he do this?

2 Carbon Copy clone - I have the trial version 30. My theory is - copy of boot (case-sensitive) of second partition partition (not case-sensitive; the two partition on a drive) and make the second boot partition. After you reformat the a nun that is case-sensitive and copy historical data and make even the boot partition. Is - this solid solution? Have my errors of the theory? Do you have any experience or tutorial how to do this backup?

Thanks for the help, ideas and answers.

You should be able to use third-party "Carbon Copy Cloner" or 'SuperDuper' applications (free for this purpose) to copy your volume of a breach of empty case-sensitive case-sensitive. Please make at least two copies on different disks. It is not enough to be sure.

If there are name conflicts - i.e. the files in the same folder with names that differ only by the case, such as 'File' and 'file', then you will get either an error or one of the files will not be copied. You must ensure that no conflict exists or that the consequences are not important. How you do that, it's up to you. Unless you went out of your way to create conflicts, they probably aren't.

Then Erase the source volume in as case insensitive disk utility. This action will remove all data on the volume. If the volume is the boot volume, you must start another drive or recovery mode in order to clear its contents.

Restore from your backups using the same application you used to create it, or use the function "Restore" disk utility, which will be faster. Seek his help for the term "duplicate" If you need instructions.

  • Action of folder to create subfolders of files is passed in

This is probably very simple, but can't seem to understand.

I need a record of Automator action that will automatically create a subfolder with the same name as the element that fell into it.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

Without seeing your script, it's impossible to guess where you are having problems, but there are several things to consider:

    1. you cannot create a folder with the same name as the file, because you will have a name conflict (two elements in the same directory with the same name

2 when you create the folder, the folder Action fires again because there's another new element in the folder

    There are solutions, however.

For the second, your file must check if the newly added file was a file, in which case he must ignore (assuming that only the files dropped are valid).

For the first problem you can create the directory, move the file, and then rename the directory, thus avoiding name conflicts.

Hand, I don't know how to make this work in Automator (Automator workflow controls are awful, IMHO), but a simple AppleScript solution might look like:

on Adding folder items to thisFolder after receiving of theseItems

    Repeat with eachItem in theseItems

    say application 'Finder '.

if class eachItem is the document file and then - we have a file

game of thisItemsName to the name eachItem - capture his name

game NewFolder to (create a new folder to thisFolder)-create a new folder

eachItem move NewFolder - move the file to the new folder

Set the name of NewFolder in thisItemsName - then rename the folder

    end if

    end say

    end Repeat

    end Adding folder items to

  • LabVIEW oop build warining!

    Hello!

I write a labview program with the method of OOP (object oriented programming), and the program is very well. But when I build to exe, the manufacturer of labview display warning message: "LabVIEW has prevented a file name collision during the build. Names of duplicate files can be copied to the same destination. You can rename the files as part of the build process to avoid name conflicts. »

I know it's certant this file duplicate name when to use 'Class', and how I can display the warning message when build.

Pre-LabVIEW 2009 EXE has a flat directory.  All controls in the screw and outbuildings were in an EXE file and there is no record in this EXE.  For this reason, you cannot have 2 files in your project with the same name (because they can't go in the same directory without overwriting a).  From 2009 to fix it NOR allowed EXEs have directories so screws can have the same name on disk, but in memory, they can have a different name, by adding the class, or the name of the library itself.  So you can have PowerSupply.lvclass:Init.vi and CAN.lvclass:Init.vi both disk just as Init.vi

In the new versions of LabVIEW, you can use the old file structure by defining the Layout 8.x to true in the specification to build the EXE file (under Advanced), but you really want to do because of the collision problem you see.

EDIT: and it seems that your code has been registered in 8.6 before the existence of this feature.

  • Messed up because of the LVOOP project

It began in the construction of an executable file with 3 error (could not load front), I uncheck 'remove FP', but I get error 2208. Now I changed the paths of certain controls and live in some classes due to name conflicts. And get a lot of errors "VI is locked by the owner. In two days I should make acceptance of the factory to test my project, and I think that I will be lost my job, because this grand and expencive project will not work.

Sorry, I would say that LVOOP has the bigs, then don't use it.

  • Application builder adds files additional select instr.lib

    Hello

When I build my application, the Application Builder decides she needs to include additional directories instead of the default files (data directory and .aliases, .exe, .ini files). The additional directories include files that are named the same in the different instr.lib but in different libraries, for example Close.vi or Initialize.vi. Is there in my project without dependencies unresolved Explorer. Does anyone know why this might happen?

I have marked just the name of the company in blue if you were wondering.

What version of LabVIEW are you using?  If you use 2009 or more, there is an option to use the 8.X for the executable format.  This is one of the advanced options in the build specification.  You don't want to do.  In format 8.X, the screws are registered in the executable as a flat directory.  This means that no matter what VI which was the same, regardless of the library, named association would conflict.  This would cause these libraries be saved outside the executable.

If you use the new format, the executable file maintains a hierarchy of directories, just like a zip file.  So you'll have name conflicts in this instance.

  • Projects and project libraries

I have luckily been using projects since their introduction in LabVIEW 8 - something.

I have a project whose job is to look at the trees of directories containing the other screws in some cases, screw my code reviews have the same name as a screws used in the code (I am slot in development, not of an executable Mode).  To avoid "name conflicts", I did a search on and learned namespaces on the project libraries.

So I have brought successfully on all the files in my project in a project the same library name.  The code works fine.

Today, I opened my project to watch one of my screws, and to my horror, the project had No files showing.  He also did not show the library project (where I "knew" all the files are located).  A little worried, I looked on my drive and found the project library file (.lvlib) - if I double-click on it, there are my files!

What I do have trouble (maybe because it's impossible!) becomes an 'inside' view of my library of Project Explorer project.  In view of the close relationship between the projects and the project libraries (the second is created from the beginning, for example), I expected to see such a link.  Are there?  Or are you expected to open both a project (which, in my case, has files that are not in the project library) and the corresponding project library?

Note that I did a search in the Documentation OR on the project libraries, and what I've read has pointed out the close relationship between a project and an associated project library, including giving them the same (or similar) name and now the files in the same folders.  [Hmm - I just realized I did not name my project and the library identically - I called the project "Project XYZ" and the "Library XYZ" library project...].

Experience "on the ground" would be welcome!

    Bob Schor

The library project is just an xml file containing links to all of the objects that make up the project. A .lvlib is also an XML file that contains links to the objects he owns. Screws are marked as belonging to a library. They do not belong to the project. If the .lvlib is included in the project, you will be able to expand to see the items it contains. You don't need to have a project to create a .lvlib. You can create a file/new in the getting started window. You can drag any .lvlib in a project as you can a VI. You shouldn't screw that contains a .lvlib existing in the Project Explorer. Also remember that the .lvlib contains no screws or other objects. If you open it in Notepad, you will see a list of objects.

What probably happened, is that you did not save the .lvproj after creating and adding the .lvlib. All you would have to do is find the .lvlib in Windows Explorer and drag it to your project.

  • Build suspicious in Labview 8.6f1

    Hello

I'm doing a build of my project containing a couple of instrument drivers. But Labview reacts in a weird way when it deploys construction preview, I got this message:

"LabVIEW has prevented a file name collision during the build. Names of duplicate files can be copied to the same destination. You can rename the files as part of the build process to avoid name conflicts.

    C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\LabVIEW 8.6\instr.lib\Agilent 34970A\Public\Close.vi.

I thought that Labview has been able to differentiate between the functions of the different instrument drivers, but apparently it does not.

LabVIEW is creating in the final construction of a few directories of the instrument with the VI inside.

Inside of my sweet, I am loading a few screws in memory (with reference) before launching the main façade, this is why I put this VI as always included in the source files for the build.

If I'm deleting the VI with all instruments used inside drivers, Labview makes no more directories, but I can't start my sweet too...

We had this problem before with Labview (8.2, 8.2.1, 8.5). Are there clues?
