NationalInstruments.Controls.Graphs.dll System.IO.FileNotFoundException

Hello

The application I'm working on contains a few plots. All the functionality works great on my machine. However, when I built in release mode, and then test it on another machine (tried all the targets, x 86, x 64 and no matter what CPU), the application breaks down. The graph seems to load fine, but it seems that the accident occurred when the data are supposed to be added to the plot... In the crashdump, I see the following error coming

There is no reference to SharpDX in my project, and I'm assuming that this dll is used by Graphs.dll. How can I solve this problem?

Thank you

SharpDX*.dll meetings are used by the WPF support DirectX rendering. It was a new feature introduced in Measurement Studio 2015. There are 6 sets, and they are only in the GAC:

  • SharpDX.D3DCompiler.dll

  • SharpDX.Direct3D9.dll

  • SharpDX.Direct3D10.dll

  • SharpDX.Direct3D11.dll

  • SharpDX.dll

  • SharpDX.DXGI.dll

These are in the C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\assembly\GAC_MSIL\SharpDX* files (each assembly has its own folder). If you copy these and put them in the same place that you run your executable from, they should work perfectly.

The new installer Builder that comes with Measurement Studio 2015 will also handle this automatically.

  • Nidll.TLC, was eliminated for the dll system RT?

I am currently trying to call some model (*.mdl) in LabVIEW to transform the models of the dll.  The models are manufactured and converted with Mathworks Simulink and LabVIEW I intend to open via call library function node of the dll.  So far, I've downloaded NI Veristand and the model Interface Toolkit, which gave me options of file system target:

    NIVeristand.tlc

    NIVeristand_VxWorks.tlc

But I don't have an option for nidll.tlc (I understand can be opend in LabVIEW Veristand instead), and I wonder why.  This option has been removed for RT targets?

    Hi Abe,

Yes, nidll.tlc is obsolete as of 2012. In particular, nidll.tlc has been installed by the NI LabVIEW Simulation Interface Toolkit (SIT) which reached its end of life in 2012. SIT, however, was replaced by the model Interface Toolkit LabVIEW; This kit replaces nidll.tlc by NIVeriStand.tlc. Note that the interface of the model generated by nidll.tlc and NIVeriStand.tlc are very similar; Indeed, nidll.tlc was the NIVeriStand.tlc Foundation. A model generated by NIVeriStand.tlc can be opened in LabVIEW VeriStand.

  • Dialog control stamp kills system Exec.vi!

    Hello!

I have just a really strange behavior in my application. I managed to narrow it down to a much smaller VI, please don't look at the framework, but the real problem, this test of the vi MAIN looks like this because it's a skeleton of an application more great (I had to remove a lot of relevant and confidential parts).

So. I have a relay for monitoring USB from a 3rd party company that I use in my application via a supplied EXE perfectly. I call this exe in LabVIEW using the Exec.vi system and it works perfectly and watchdog functions as it should. However, I see a strange bug (?): if I run a browser control Time stamp dialog window, it "suspends" somehow the Exec.vi system. If my watchdog command stops setting, open relay, problem!

I compressed my test application, and I can reproduce this same problem, although I have just called a BREAK to gain control of command line. Note that, in my real application, the control of time stamp is in another, said dynamically (call and forget the method) VI, but I get the same bug!

    Steps to reproduce the bug:

    1. launch my app
    2. observe that the iteration of the loop at the bottom
    3. Click browser control time to bring up the dialog window.
    4. You can see the background loop iteration has stopped (iterations of the loop DAQ)
    5. If you close the dialog box, the background loop continues execution

    What the heck is this?

How this is possible, why there is "interference" between a completely separate control and a loop of low system Exec.vi?

    Thanks for any suggestions!

I hide in my real application, as a solution, just the element browser control time stamp...

LabVIEW is a software component called root loop which is used by different parts of the LV. opening dialogue blocks the loop of the root, which is probably what is blocking the DLL called inside the exec system VI. Probably, you will be able to do as opening a menu and leaving open.

You can do a search for the term to learn more on this subject, but I don't think it's all you can really do about it.
