• How do I show or hide portlets dynamically in a Portal Page

  Dear all
  1. I have a Portal Page with a Portlet in the upper part with 5 buttons. Each press of a button should display a separate portlet down on this page.
  
  2. I have Top Portlet. At the bottom I have 5 Portlets P1, P2, P3, P4 and P5. On my .portal file, I dragged and dropped portlet albums all these 5 Portlets and one under the other.
  
  3. now, I try to use BackingFile approach at the PageLevel/Portlet level, to get the details of the button clicked at the top portlet (like name etc.), then show as a portlet in the lower part (using the portlet backingcontext show/hide APIs). I need to compare the low portlets defintion_label etc. which is fine for now.
  
  What is the right approach...?
  
  Or should I use the approach of Portlet Custom Event. This high portlet will trigger event whenever the button is clicked with a payload. And down 5 portlets to listen to the event and show/hide as a result. But in this approach, I have to fix backingfile to all the substantive portlets to be able to listen to them.
  
  All the portlets are based Pageflow Portlets. Any ideas or any other simpler approaches, are highly appreciated.

  Hello Ravi,

  The events are probably the easiest way to go; You can attach the same backup file to all portlets on the bottom and make show/hide the portlet as the case may be, as long as you make the backup file not care about the name of the event that it receives. Then, in the files for each low portlets .portlet, he listens to a different event and call the backup file.

• How to refresh the JSF portlet content when the page is surfed on

  Hello everyone.
  I have a problem with a refreshing JSF portlet content when the page contains this portlet became inactive. I have a portal with 3 pages, each page has a JSF portlet. When I manipulate one of these portlet and I navigate to another page, I want the portlet will be reset to original content instead of the current content.
  
  I already looked for the solution to this problem in our forum but found that nothing can be applied to the JSF portlet. Portlet PageFlow, we have a refreshAction to solve, but not for the JSF portlet.

  I have a question about navigate from 1 report to a dashboard page passing value from column 1 to column 2 in the second report...
  
  In OBIEE 11 G, I create link action report 1, column 1 and this link from the action is go to the content of the BI and the destination is a dashboard page, which has used 2 column as a dashboard and there are 3 reports that all use column 2 to filter. Now, the dashboard page 2 column is an alias for column 1 report 1, from the point of view of users, these are the same, but OBIEE point of view, they are different.
  
  My action link is able to access the dashboard, however, the value in column 1 which I clicked on run navigation, not are placed in column 2 as the line of dashboard does not receive this value when navigating...
  
  Since I can't put column 1 in dashboard 2, nor that I can put the 2 column in the report 1. Because our data model is done in the way that if I use column 1 or 2 in both cases, it will be o-ring...
  
  Is there a way around this problem?

  You are going to have three main dashboard page (i.e., dashboad1, 2, 3) in the dashboard you will be having 3 different relationship with different column aliases (e.g. columnx_alias1, columnx_alias2, columnx_alias3) and you're going to have a dashboard more page say dashboardx a report with columnx. Now if you click on report of dashboard1 to go to dashboardx, click on report of dashboard2 also should go to dashboardx, click dashboard3 report should also go to dashboardx.

  1 > you can create 3 variable presentation for column 3 aliases and hide. {{{You can use the union query in sql result say columnx select from table where columnx='@{column1}' union select columnx table where columnx='@{column2}' union select columnx table where columnx='@{column3}'.
  2 > now you can hide these guests with variables.

  I'm developing an Application of Web Java EE very simple, in this I am filling a grid (table) on the first screen and on the selection of a line in this screen, I have to display the records in a form, in the next page.
  I want to transmit the information of primary keys from the grid screen to the shape of the screen (2nd page) and use this information to render the data, eventually, I'll have to perform CRUD operations.
  Please let me know how to pass parameters from page 1 to page 2 and use this data in the page 2 to return the records, Oracle ADF 11 g R2.

  I was wondering, if there is a possibility of passing parameters to the request from one page to another page in EBS (eBusiness Suite).
  I tried to use the following
  
  (a) PageContext.putParamater ('MyParamater', 'ParamaterValue')
  (b) I have addded above the line of code by extending a controller on the page of OAF and personalized page
  
  When I retrieve the value of getParameter() on the next page. I am also unable to access the parameter in the following page.
  
  I tried the above code while trying to create expenses in the module I have costs... I would like the ReportHeaderId from one page to another page for customization purposes. I am not able to get the ReportHeaderId in the ReviewPAge... There is no Business Objects in the review page... try the idea of putParameter.

  I know I can pass parameters between the reports through a few subjects by using Url go. However, I want to keep the functionality of the menu displayed when you use defyining multi target in the s column Navigate with drop-down feature. So the problem I encountered is the sequel
  
  (1) when I set some goals to navigate - is it possible to transfer parameters to these links point to destinations? (I tried to add them at the end of the link in the field "Target", but without success)
  
  (2) or alternatively - when you use GoUrl, can I define a < would display a href link that might point to places menu and mulitple drop down?

• Passing parameters using ADR - 404 error

  I'm all new development APEX. We use the DEPT tables in the sample application oracle provided for practice.

  We currently use ADR to pass parameters, but it does not work as expected, or at all. We receive a 404 when you try to run the page.

  Objective: User enters number of Department for an article and a 'Change' event (or "lose focus", we have not yet decided) on a dynamic action fills the name field with the name of the service dept.

  Has anyone else got this error?

  If there is another method recommended, please let me know.

  I am able to pass parameters in the URL of the APEX that defined the points of the application as below

  The problem seems to be that the value of point of application has not been set at this point, and therefore the values are null.

  If I change the application process process Point to something that runs to each page as On Load: after the header, then the values are available. It is not suitable as only wish to run once at startup of the application.

  I can't find discussion of this documentation.

  1. I would be able to access URL parameters in the application process with Point on a new Instance of the process?

  2. are there any other equivalent task for access to URL parameters at the start of the application?

  APEX runs only on the new process Instance when a new session has been set up. As you discovered, URL items are not yet saved in session at this point State. You can use a level app process before header instead, with a condition that makes that make it run when certain elements that you want to initialize are null.

  I tried to drop this delimited task flow on adfc-config and adding a flow of control to another opinion, but I can't seem to access my opinion of this workflow call.

  In other words, I can call the workflow bounded through a url and pass it a parameter, but once it is posted I can't go to my other point of view.

  How can I do this?
