Navigate to a user entered in the url

In my application, I have provided a text box that allows the user to enter a url that is then saved in the text of the label field. But now I want the user to be able to open the page in the url in internet explore by clicking on this label. The text of the label field will be filled when the user saves their url, but I added a url in the text field the following code for the label for example: -.

< mx:Label id=" Profile5EmailLabel "text = www.yahoo.co.uk " click = "navigateToURL (new URLRequest ('{Profile5EmailLabel.text}'),'_blank')" " />

Should what changes I make to the code click to make it work correctly?

Hello

We need to add "http://" or "https://" to the url. Otherwise, he would not navigate correctly

<>

ID = "Profile5EmailLabel" text = click "www.yahoo.co.uk" = '{navigateToURL (new URLRequest ("http://" + Profile5EmailLabel.text))}'; / >

  • Form user entered in the calculation scripts

I was asked if it is possible to create a LiveCycle form where users can click into a field, add or subtract various amounts (they can apparently in Excel by entering a formula with the corresponding amounts, for example "= 2.54 41.87 + 14.62'"), then, in addition to seeing the total resulting, they also want to be able to see the items that have been added/subtracted that is to say the work! Is it even remotely possible in LiveCycle?

OK, first let me say with irony that I kind of hate to ask this question... It ruined my brain any longer that it should have.

I could get this to work with the main 4 operators (+, -, *, and /) in order. I have not tried to apply the order of operations because it would be worse still. (Should be recursive operations that I'm not really interested in trying to remove in LC right now).

Here's the code for that work as well as some screenshots of what it looks like. If an operator is the first character, the event performs any operation on the existing subtotal, removes the operator and number, then loops back if it is more remains to be done.

All of the code in the output field. (I am sure others could simplify this a little more, but that's what I came with.) Also, I apologize if the fingerprints are not fair. Syntax highlighting is a stupid idea. :

  • How can I apply the automatic spelling correction for selected fields from the data entered by the users of forms?

I would like to be able to apply the spelling correction of selected fields in the forms I created using LiveCycle Designer 8.2 at runtime, as opposed at design time.  I understand that version 8 LCD has a spelling corrector new OWL for form designers.  But I want to say check the data entered by users using Acrobat Reader.  And I want to apply the spelling correction automatically on only selected fields.

Currently it seems that fill out my forms, users must know how manually right-click on each field, and then select "Spell Check" from the dialog box to check spelling mistakes in the data that the user entered into the form.

I would like to discover a way to apply the correction spelling in certain areas, as well as I am able to do in forms created using Acrobat Pro.  Acrobat Pro, I can set a property for each field to require the spell check.  but this feature seems to be missing in Livecycle Designer.

I have check the object model for XFA forms hoping I could find a method I can call a JavaScript file, check the spelling based on an event such as onBlur.  But I have not found a method of spelling.

Am I missing something simple?  Is there a way to define each field out controls when a user is filling out the form using the free software Acrobat Reader?

Our users are not sophisticated and forcing spell check each field separately just doesn't cut it...

Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

    -David Bartholomew

    Hi David,

    Two things...

At design time has set the locale of the form to that coming out Acrobat checks. For example the locale English (United States) and English (United Kingdom) have Spellers; However the English (Ireland) does not work. Check the warnings tab to see if the spell checking is supported for your locale.

If your locale form supports spell checking, so you can go to the script of the button below.

If you form local does NOT support spell checking, Stephanie has a great work-around to force spell (http://forums.adobe.com/message/2233945#2233945).

Put a normal button on the form and in the click event must have the following:

    app.execMenuItem ("spelling: spell check");

Which will open the checker spelling for all fields.  Thanks to Paul for extract all elements of menu available (http://forums.adobe.com/message/1912914#1912914).

    Good luck

    Niall

  • URL of list of the user-entered recordable

I found the following on the net which is a basic example of using the sharedObject method to allow users to record data, however I would like to improve this example, whereas in the text box, the user can enter different URLS, then when each url that the user entered is clicked, it will sail to that specific page.

I know that allowing a user to simply enter a url into a single text box and then have the link to the relevant site once clicked is a simple process, but I want to achieve this in the following example, so that users can save their list of URLs, return their entire list empty or perhaps remove each link individually by clicking on it , and then clicking a button Delete.

My main problem is that it seems the selectedItem.text property are not accessible in order click on a text box and apparently not the itemClick function is available in a text box as it can in a TileList for example, so I don't know how I can get it to navigate to the url contained in each element when each item is actually clicked. The text box should be changed to another type of component to integrate it? :-

Very well. The shared object works correctly now. Only the file from the main application had to change. The AddURL component above is fine as it is:

  • Pressing ENTER after typing the URL is no longer responsible for the Web page, trouble?

It used to be that all you had to do was type a half a URL or the whole thing and press enter and the web page would load, now enter pressing is not working, how can I solve this?

Here's the very simple solution to remove from Firefox AVG safe search.
    1. go in Firefox "Help".
    2. click on "restart with disabled modules.
    3. click on "restart".
    4. the browser closes and a popup box will open.
    5. Select 'Reset all the preferences of the user by default Firefox'.
    6. click on "make changes and restart".

    That should do it.

    Hi Barry

Affecting the security attribute Access Page Protection page No. URL Access and navigate between pages using the type of the Page Management Branch (uncheck the option creates a branch using redirection page in the Wizard) will avoid this:

No URL access -Page can not be found using a URL, but the page can be the target of a type of Page Management Branch, is not doing a URL redirect.

It is a little more restrictive that a normal direction of the session state values cannot be positioned or erased declaratively in the branch, but is not often necessary in a several step wizard, and it's pretty simple to work round using prior processes - or post-branche or by referencing the item values directly from other pages.

All links to a page and the page itself must be secure.

You can also consider the protection of session state to prevent tampering of the URL.

  • Pass the user inserted the URL text box value

It can be simple. I have a text field by default with the values in the database table, and this table cannot be updated.

Now when the user enters a value in the text field and press the submit, url that generates the button should have the value that has been entered by the user, not the database table?

How can I make this possible?

    Thank you
    San

Just create a button which is to submit a (not the redirect URL type and not type 'page of this application').

Create a branch of the page that goes to the desired page and sets values on the page desitnation accordingly.

As long as the Send button really sends the page, it should end up being updated with the new values of items in session state, and then they must be considered by the management of the page.
