• Removal of the links in the inbrowse edition

  my client uses the inbrowse editing tool, it is often changing links to the uploaded files. Now, after some time, the list of links is very long and he wants to remove the older links. How can we achieve this?

  Attachments cannot be deleted using the IBE. We will consider this as a future enhancement. We could also improve the usability of this dialog box with the list of available files.

  Please use the feedback inside the inbrowser.editing.com admin page to report the problem to the development team. Try to include as much information as possible about your Setup program (file .muse, URL of the site, browser, OS, etc.)

• InBrowser editing no longer works, no original muse reupload site file

  I have a site I created about 2 years ago for a client. Recently, the hard drive that stored the original muse files failed. It was not a problem, because the owner does not want major changes and simply uses the InBrowser editing tool to change the text in its events and the sections of the list of depression (business is a bar). He made these changes once a week.

  Starting this week, it seems that the edition of InBroswer does not recognise anything on the site as editable. No way to change images or text.

  The site is www.publichousefl.com. Anyone know a solution or have the same problem?

  There is a known bug with some web sites of Business Catalyst where previously editable in owners of content areas are not editable. A similar report can be found here Re: change in the browser to define editable regions.

  If this is the same bug and you use licensed content for the content of your page, you are able to change the holders of content via the Business Catalyst Admin site?

• With phone version InBrowser edition edition problems

  I use the latest version, I tried in firefox, chrome and safari, nothing helps. I can see and edit the site's full desktop version. But when I go to edit the phone it is grayed out.

  I deleted the entire site via ftp and re downloaded. Nothing helps.

  I made sure that the two boxes checked for the inbrowser editing and content (I have all text frames that are connected through the content on the phone version).

  I don't know where to go from here... Suggestions are welcome.

  Is the site hosted on BC or external? This can be the behavior if there is no script/html on the page element.

• InBrowser edition of the formatting problems

  My client has problems to update their daily special page with InBrowser edition.

  This site is hosted by a 3rd party host:

  • Café Central large Storm Lake, Iowa

  We have learned that the only way to keep the formatting that was built in Muse is if the client selects the text to change and the types ABOVE. Are they highlight and delete everything first, formatting disappeared. For some reason, the customer cannot get the hang of it, so I'll have to fix several times a week.

  Is there another way to get around this? Is this a known bug? Is there anything I should do in the game Muse upwards to help?

  Thanks for the attention on this issue. It is a known problem with the team working on editing in the browser (IBE).

  Unfortunately there isn't any alternative workaround at this time apart from the one you highlighted.

• inbrowser edition of hyperlinks removed during the merger in Muse! Made my head.

  So it's in my head and I'm really hoping that someone can help me because it is causing many headaches with my client and a lot of work with me.

  I created a site of sport horse - now the client has access to the browser edition due to changing horses all the time so I have created pages of models and they can simply change the text etc. - now, I created an area of URL on each horse that has a hyperlink to youtube for this horse. 90% of the time when they put the URL in and I merge with muse the link is deleted and I find myself with the text. leaving me to go through each page and manually add the url of the live site.

  I would like to inform you that, now the 'in the browser edition feature"in Muse, allows users to change the text and images in their sites. You cannot add all hyperlinks by using the function "change in the browser.

• Why the bookmark button continue from navigation to the bookmarks bar when I put it there. How to solve this problem?

  Because my screen is not that big, I want my bookmark toolbar elements (element for special bookmarks folder) take the entire width, and I want the button Favorites in the navigation toolbar (because I don't need this long url field).
  As you modify the toolbars and buttons, I change to what I want, but every time that save and close the window edit the bookmarks (with the drop below) button moves automatically to the bottom of a toolbar. It's very, very annoying, not least because in the edit mode, it's ok (it is also saved correctly).
  Any way to overcome this problem?

  When appears in the toolbar of bookmarks, the Bookmarks button moves automatically in the Navigation toolbar to the toolbar of bookmarks. This is expected behavior. I can't tell you why but, as it makes no sense to me either and I probably find twice as boring as you.

  Install the following extension.

  • Let full customize the Bookmarks button

• The two senior columns with tools and navigation on the site lack, how can I get them back?

  I pushed a button by accident and all of a sudden, they weren't there and now I can not navigate, check history, settings etc.

  Menu bar (File, Edit, View, history, Favorites, tools, help)

  Press ALT V T M (CTRL V T M on Mac) on your keyboard. This should restore the menu bar (Firefox 3.6), you can also restore the menu bar by pressing Alt, then go to View | Toolbars | Menu bar

  Navigation bar

  Press Alt V T N (CTRL V T N on the Mac) on your keyboard.

  Other toolbars

  View | Toolbars | Select the desired toolbar

  Other measures to try

  Try to restore the default value set by going to display. Toolbars | Customize | Restore the default set. This will put the toolbars in the default location. You should do if you are missing icons in the specific Navigation toolbar

  Safe mode

  You may need to reset toolbars and controls through Firefox in Safe Mode troubleshooting questions
  Make sure that completely close Firefox first. When you get to the Safe Mode window, select controls and then make changes and restart and reset toolbars.

• do not understand the tag edition - someone explain please

  I have been advised to get the titles in order by editing tags, but cannot understand what it means.  I installed MP3Tag and navigated to the folder with my podcasts in it, then clicked on 'Select folder'.  The 'tag' says the same thing for the whole column, and I do nothing make changes except 'remove tag '.  I can't understand the instructions - they assume that I know already a little on the tags.  What should I do so that the files in this folder will be displayed in alphabetical/numerical order on my Clip instead randomly?

  If you ever have a newbie with this problem, tell him to check properties\details\ #.  I never assign numbers track to my podcasts, and various had 0 or 1, give me a random order when I copied them on my Clip.  I feel stupid, but it's good to have learned this.  Thanks for mentioning the order of songs.

• Navigation in the form with the arrows or keys of planning tab

  We have some users who are frustrated with navigation in the planning forms in 11.1.2.3.  That's what I've noticed, and I would like to know if this is the way in which planning is supposed to work, or if we have bugs.  Our browser is IE 8, but we get the same behavior in Mozilla.

  1. we can use the arrow keys and move in all directions, but cannot change the cell, unless you click with the mouse.  In edit mode, we can not arrow out.

  2. we can tab from cell to cell, modify the data and tab on.  If we tab in a read-only column, we are blocked and cannot tab out.

  I don't like logging SRs for that sort of thing, but the support guys, I'm supposed to challenge such things.  It might be something wrong with our implementation.  Is this normal and EXPECTED?

  This was noted as a known issue in Bug 17282780 : INTERNET EXPLORER - SHAPE CELL cannot BE OUT WITH KEYS, CURSOR, TAB or ENTER

  This problem is caused by the introduced interface 11.1.2.2 ADF go. Oracle Dev still working on this issue.

• Change default model navigation in the portal generator

  I develop a portal 11.1.1.8 Webcenter portal using the portal generator. I created a new Navigation model.  Now, I want to assign as the model of default navigation for the portal, I had created.

  When I go to the link to Administration-> settings, Navigation is not editable. Other things like Page Template, Skins etc can be changed. Is there a way I can change the value by default model of Navigation for my portal?

  The navigation model for a particular site cannot be changed after creation. Instead, we can change the default Navigation model based on our needs.

• In the browser, edit a slideshow?

  I have a few set slideshows in place and I want my customers to be able to be able to change them through IBE. I just tried to do it myself and had no control of it either. I used a miniature slide show with images changing every 3 seconds. The problem is when I go to push edit, there is not a picture that is attributed to what I want to change. The slide show continues just to go.

  How use IBE with a slide show widget? I must be missing something small.

  I thought about a solution... At least for users catalyst professionals. I met a strange glitch. In my case when I hit the button 'Edit' in British Colombia and I click on another page on the navigation bar of the site, it will take me to the page I chose but will not give me the ability to edit content that I hover over. The way I found to remedy to this is to click on 'Manage' then 'Edit' again in the toolbar of the BC admin and select the page in the navigation bar, and it now allows me to edit the content. In my case, this is a slideshow Gallery my previous clients work.

  I have attached a series of 7 images like a walk to help illustrate the process, I had to use. Hope this helps someone... He drove me crazy!        ~ Rion
