navto://relative/current#50%

In a previous post, I asked what command I should use to access specific extra point down in my article of smooth scrolling when I have 2 high level navigations. The response gave Bob was correct (navto://relative/current#50%), but it works only on iOS. When I press the button on Android, it does nothing. Y at - it something I'm doing wrong or is this a bug?

It turns out that it is a bug. Using a value as 50% scroll smoothly items works on iOS but not Android.

The workaround is to use the method of the page (#n) instead of a percentage to access a specific location. In an article in smooth scrolling, screen, each tile is actually a page. So if you have a scrolling tile 6 article smooth (for example, 768 x 6000), you would use something like navto://relative/current#2 to go to the 3 article scroll smooth tiles. You can use the decimal point (#2.3) to refine the link.

I'll try not to forget to reply to this thread when the beholder Android bug is fixed.

    Hello

We have recently added in one of our app a menu navigation that points to a different section of a publication. We have also added the option to revert to the parent with the navto://relative/parent link collection.

It works very well on tablets and mobile phones, but it doesn't seem to work in the Web Viewer version.

Here is an example. The navigation menu is in the upper right corner, and the link to exit the publication is called "Quitter" (the last choice in the menu).

Is this a bug or this type of link is not yet supported in the Web Viewer?

    Thank you

The navto://relative/parent format is not supported in web viewer. A tester told me that there is an additional complexity in the determination of the parent in the viewer web because Viewer users don't always access the app of the top-level collection.

Yes, use navto://relative/current#0 to access the first page of the current article.

Is it possible to automatically redirect to the first slide after delay for some time of inactivity? Need a quick answer!

In your HTML code, you can use a navto: / / URL to go to the first page of the article: navto://relative/current#first should work. You will need to find a way to invoke this URL in your HTML well.

  • Links to browse the collection page?

Is there a link that we can use in all the collections to access his page to browse?

I've been digging around on this page:https://helpx.adobe.com/digital-publishing-solution/help/hyperlinks.html but I can't find anything other than this:

    "Binding of collections navto://collection/collectionname?openTo=browsePage."

Is it possible to combine it with navto://relative/parent - and something like this:

    navto://relative/parent?openTo=browsePage

"Te level above article is always a collection. This is not strictly true. You can get to the articles via links navto, who puts an article on it in the navigation of the user hierarchy.

There is no method of navigation currently which is the equivalent of "page browse to this collection.

  • When you open a folio published, how can I always default to the launch of the first article

Currently, when our application is launched or opened from the iPad, it opens on the last article, I was on. I would like the application to always open from the 'first' article of the folio. Is this possible?

There is no way to do it automatically. You can add a button or hyperlink on your pages which accesses the navto://relative/reset and which returns the contents of the first page, first article, but it is not automatic.

  • Reload the article upward at the output

    Hello

On my folio configuration, when users scroll down an article and then across to the next article, is in any way do previous article (which I just left) scrolling back to the top, so when I scroll back, I show the first page of this article, rather than the page that I have left?

For example, if I leave the article 1 on page c - I in article 2 on page one. If I scroll back, I currently go back to article 1 page c - but want to back by scanning in article 1 page a. Hope that makes sense - it's just be confused where I am in the document if the scroll back.

I hope you guys can help,

    Thank you

    Simon

There is no automatic way to do this. You can add a button on the page with a destination of "navto://relative/reset" and that will reset the folio at the beginning, but there is no automatic way to do it.

  • Reset the app to the starting position after closing app

    Hello!

Currently, after I close totally the application I created of DPS, (after drag you closed since the 'home' double-tap button).

and I reopen it the application from the homepage of my iPad, it takes me again on the last page I was reading and not at application start.

Is there something I can do to have the app reset after you leave? No matter if it resets as soon as you exit the application, or if it only resets when you close completely. It would be it.

Thanks for any help you guys can provide!

    Karl

There is no way to automatically reset the content after leaving the application. You can add a button or a hyperlink in your content that goes to navto://relative/reset to reset the content, but that requires intervention by the user.

  • Navigation within a collection

In the old application, we have several ways to navigate through a collection.

    image.png

In DPS2015 miss him at least a bar of navigation at the bottom of the screen, let us quickly to end to start (or vice versa) in a collection.

If you open a collection that you have already started to read, you arrive on the page you last visit. This is correct behavior.

But if you then want to read from the beginning, the only way to achieve this is to slide one and a single article - until you after 50 articles to find what you are looking for.

We use the display of the content, not the page go.

    Hey Espen,

Page browse replaces these two elements of navigation in 2015 of DPS. If you want to offer this style of quick navigation to your readers we enjoin you to activate the page go to your collection. You can also put a link to navto://relative/first on your items that, when struck, would bring back the player at the beginning.

  • Force a Page after the closing of the content viewer

Is it possible to force a page to be opened, after someone has already closed a document so that on any given page?

My client wants still page 1 to be imposed upon the opening of any page it has been left out, when it was closed last?

Is there a way to do this? Is this perhaps a caching problem?

It isn't really, we forget reading position. You can put a small button on every page that navigates to navto://relative/reset as a mechanism to reset, and your customer can press to go to the first page of the first article.

  • Page HTML with MUSE

    Hello world

I created a page HTML with Adobe Muse to make effect of Parallax scrolling.

I imported this page, like folio, in my project of DPS.

Page everything works but drag it to change the page are disabled.

    Why?

There are a few functions to solve this problem?

    Thank you!

It is because your scrolling parallax effect takes all the actions on the page. If you have an event handler for the movements of the mouse/touch the page, then you get the movements and has no way for us to know about them to make a change to the next page.

    Your options are:

    (1) add a region of your HTML page that does not have a handler for the movements of the mouse/touch on it and say "swipe to change page here.

    (2) add a user interface to the HTML for the navigation of the page and have it hyperlink to navto://relative/prev (or is that previous? I can never remember) and navto://relative/next

No, but... try this: create a button or a hyperlink that points to navto://relative/reset.

(Magic! It is not released for iOS yet so we don't have to include it in our notes, but it works on Windows and Android from v31.1)

  • Open a new tab next to current, not to the right of the related content

The current options to open as a new tab in firefox must be open at the end of the right hand of the band tabs, or open it to the right end of the related content tabs.
If the number of tabs between the current tab and the tab exceeds the visible through the window, there is no visible indication that the trigger was a success and a new tab was opened.
Is there a way to get Firefox to open a new tab to the right of the current tab, but to the left of the related content tabs. This means that you would always see the new tab opening. It would also mean that if you accidentally open the tab to the foreground, rather than the bottom, the tabs related would still stay in the order (although right on the left rather than the current from left to right).
