Problem of strange power with Satellite series

When I turn on the power the battery immediately releases within 10 minutes and stops even if it is set to an electrical outlet. The adapter works properly and a loses connections.

Can anyone help please?

Hello

It would be very interesting to know what laptop you have and how old is the battery.
My old battery revolve around 4 years and empty s after 3 min of work. This is not unusual if the battery is old.

But if your laptop is a new and the warranty is valid then contact the authorized service provider in your country for a detailed audit

    Hi Mik

As you know that it is not possible to find info on the next BIOS, especially if you want to have some information about the Linux operating system. Just wait and see if some forum users pointed out something on the subject.

  • Power with Satellite L20-121 problems

    Greetings
My Toshiba laptop model is satellite L20-121 PSL20e.
    OS: Windows XP Home Edition
When I restart windows, windows stops, then the led power and WiFi will Flash once and the laptop turns on again and when I stop, the laptop turns off correctly, but when I press the power button to turn on the laptop again, the led power and WiFi will Flash once, the laptop does not light and I have to wait 5 minutes about yo start it again.
I sent it to the Toshiba Service Center in my country, and they said "we must restore the recovery image", even if it's a hardware problem, not a software, and at the same time, I'm very busy and don't have the time to reinstall the entire system and software applications still.

What proves my idea it is when I enter SETUP (F2) and output the laptop do the same thing (the LED will blink once and no longer lights)
The same thing with the BACK... or Linux live CD
Once the laptop is turned off, it cannot turn on again. only after 5 minutes

I recorded my laptop in the Standard online warranty system, I hope it helps me
I have only 4 months remaining

    Appreciate your help
    Thank you

    Hello

You can do the following: update your bios if not already done and then try with different operating systems (linux, windows, etc.) if the error reappears, then you should send your machine to the partner service and the statement that the error occurs independent of the operating system running.

Sometimes, they need a few comments otherwise they won´t anything...

  • Display driver problems and clicking noise with Satellite C670D-11R

    Hi all

my friend bought a Toshiba Satellite c670d-11r in Germany on a catalogue (Otto to be precise) with Windows 7 Home Premium installed on it.

After a few months he brought to a computer store and a service in the city, he lives to do a fresh install of Windows. A day ago he came to visit me and complained about how slow it was and asked me to install Windows again and that's what I was doing.

After installing that I asked him about the CD of drivers he has no idea where he is or if he even had one so I downloaded all the drivers on the site and installed on her laptop except the display driver.

First I unpacked it in the Appdata path that has been predefined, but that he would not launch after extraction, so I gave in a path custom and tried to run "Installtb.exe" but still once nothing happened so I decided to run the 'Setup.exe', he began installing CCC and after installation, I checked "Dxdiag" but it doesn't always recognize not the GPU in the view tab as in the previous version of Windows, as a "Radeon HD 6320" but as a "Standard video card" I tried everyhing I could come with but nothing really helped, a little later, I noticed a rattling noise where I think the HARD drive should be (to the right of the touchpad) I thought that I broke something , but he said that he noticed that also a few weeks ago by clicking.

I'll post the dxdiag log now if this will help.

    Hello

In regards to the HARD drive clicking noise:
It is nothing unusual can happen with some kind of discs hard I have a few hard drives (internal and external) of two hard drives produce a rattling sometimes noise, but the drive HARD running and working properly so I guess that its ok but nevertheless if possible, back up the data always

    Regarding the ATI driver:
The laptop belongs to the PSC4AE series.
Choose the series C670D PSC4AE in driver download Toshiba form European page pilot would show you the driver compatible v8.812.2.2.

You must download and unzip the package first.
Now you should see the file TCA0056800E.exe.
This file must be decompressed too

Now, go to Device Manager and select the graphics card.
Here to choose install driver then the manual installation procedure. Now point to the folder where you have unzipped the display driver.
AFAIK driver for Win 64 bit files are placed in the driver-> display folder
Usually the Windows operating system must pick up the right files to install the driver

    That s it

  • Problems of Wi - Fi with Satellite A200-1N7

    Hello!

A few days ago I buy Satellite A200-1N7 (PSAE3E-03401VRU). It works well but the WiFi. I don't have any changes in the BIOS and the WiFi drivers.

The problem is - WiFi works well 1 to 5 hours, but after that the laptop computer WiFi adapter does not all WiFi networks in my area (its 3 networks WiFi here - I see from another laptop) and nothing does not change this situation, but will restart Windows Vista Home Premium (all updates on microsoft.com).

What is - the known problem or just my laptop?
    Thank you.

Look at the adapter power saving mode. It can be shutdowned by the system after a few times.

    I have another problem. I can't conntect Toshiba A200-1IW to WL-500W using 802.11n standard.

  • Problem installing operating system with Satellite L30 (PSL33E)

    Hi all.

So I got a laptop from my firiend from set. Now what he told me is it. He plays a game and the laptop froze. He pressed the power button and restarted the laptop. After restarting the laptop it says windows has recovered from a serious error. After that he could log on to his computer. Then he used the toshiba recovery cd, but this only corrected the problem for a short time.

Now when he gave it to me I started and he tried to load vista it says that there is a missing file: wdsuti.dll and I had an ErrorCode:0x3E7. I looked this error and then I formatted the drive and tried a fresh install of vista.

Vista installed fine up to the point where it asks to restart the computer once it restarted it could not load again.
Now, I tried another disc as the XP disc I install XP and then use the vista upgrade disc but the same thing happens.

At the moment im trying another installation of vista. It has installed vista, but is running very very slow and took forever to install. From his first start, he crashed and came up with this error message:

    Cannot start Windows

    file: windows\system32\config\system

    status: 0xc00000e9

Now I'm stumped with an im PC very well I can remove the parts and exchange them etc.
I guess that the hard drive is dying.
Am wrong me, or would be - this another problem?

Any help would be much appreciated.

EDIT: Also note that I have reset the BIOS default settings and am now running Windows memory diagnostic tool.

What is the result after you run the Windows memory diagnostic tool?

  • Problems of battery/power with a Latitude E4310

The battery on my E4310 seems to be bad (it wouldn't run very long and lost power for a period of time). The last time I went to use it last week, that he would not start at all, even with the adapter plugged in which was the first time he had done.

I noticed that the Green LED on the adapter out as soon as I plugged in the laptop. Because the laptop still would not be running I unplugged the adapter of the laptop computer AND the wall outlet. When I plugged the adapter to the wall the LED would come back but as soon as I plugged in the laptop it went out again.

I guess the battery gone bad and was shorting the adapter and ordered a new battery but when that came I had the same problem. The adapter LED went out as soon as I plugged on the laptop even if the battery was not yet connected to the laptop, and as soon as I unplugged the adapter from the wall and then plugged in the LED would stay.

What is the MOST likely problem that is obviously not the battery but more likely something in the laptop itself? Is there anything I can check as the system will not be under tension or boot in the BIOS?

There is a short circuit in the system-first thing to try is replacing the DC Jack:

    >

If this does not resolve the problem, replace the motherboard.

  • Update problem 6.70 BIOS with Satellite Pro C850-172

I have two problems with the update the BIOS (the 1 is more important then the 2nd one):

    1. in the attempt to install the BIOS Update 6.70 - WIN (29/11/13) it is said that:
"The version of the ROM file is the same as that of the BIOS.
and it stops. In the DOS window, it shows a sentence:
"NOT 8 platform Windows, using Windows 7 update... ».
I use Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit system but recently there has been an important automatic update done for her.
I'm lost. I can do to update the BIOS?

    2. at the beginning, he says that Flash process will be terminated and I need to "contact the OEM BIOS engineer to add the location of NV storage by interface HISII". But if I want to risk I can continue etc.

Previously, I took the risk and the update went well.
But is it possible to contact BIOS OEM engieneer?

    Hello

    > When you attempt to install the BIOS Update 6.70 - WIN (29/11/13) it is said that:
    > "The version of the ROM file is the same as that of the BIOS.

What is the current version of BIOS that is on your laptop?
If the BIOS is already up-to-date, the BIOS flash process will be interrupted.

    > «NOT 8 platform Windows, using Windows 7 update...» ».
I'm not quite sure about the meaning of this information, but it looks like the BIOS update was released for Windows 8 system and probably his need to improve the system from Windows 7 to Windows 8 to be able to Flash the BIOS m

By the way: why you want to update the BIOS? Just because the new version is available?
Please note that the update of the BIOS does not improve the performance of the laptop, but fixes some problems. In case your laptop runs successfully, the update of the BIOS is not very important

    Hello

First a couple of questions: you have a dualboot system installed? And now my favorite questions: which no software burning, you have installed? Installed more then another burning software?

If so, which. Another thing might be if you have Nero, then there might be a plugin that can do the problems of recognition of cd players or media.

Please give some information, perhaps, we can know where the problem is.

  • Re: Problem of password BIOS on Satellite series

For some strange reason cannot load windows more as the bios asks for a password. Only user and I have definitely not one! Some tips on how a novice can remove this password and reactivate my laptop?

    Hello

first of all: it s impossible that a BIOS password is set out of "Nowhere". So just thinkabout if you installed applications, BIOS update, whatever or if someone else was in your machine that could probably had the opportunity to set a bios password.

Are you sure it's the BIOS password to 1000%? You mean that once the toshiba logo appeared, a screen asks you some password, right?

Sorry for the question, but I just try to get all the information... :)

    Welcome them

  • Problem with graphic framerate with Satellite P100

    Hello

I searched on several forums but I did not describe my problem as I have, well, I don't know that it is similar to the problems having the most with their Windows Vista and nvidia graphics cards. First heres my system

    Satellite p-100
    NVIDIA geforce go 7600
    2.0 ghz centrino duo
    blah blah blah

in any case, I read that most of you have experienced whie playing games like Oblivion which it will play fine for a while then your framerate drops down and the graphics "stuttering".
My experience has been that, I start to play a game, and what appears to be a random delay of my computer will crash and shut down.
I then re - turn on the power and restart my computer.
Sometimes, I feel a secondary accident during indexing turn it back on for the opening screen vista user, this will continue to happen until I have detach my power running and unplug/reonnect the battery. Then finally I can connect in Vista without crashing it.

This problem has occurred on several games with games on high and low graphics settings, I tried these games so far: forgotten, Half life 2, Counter strike source and source of life even half 1.
IT didn't happen while he was playing Microsoft Flight Simulator X and I have no idea why I can't turn the graphic way up on MSFSX, and I wouldn't be an accident.
Someone has any ideas concerning this problem for other games.
I've updated my graphic card drivers several times even tried rollign return and others, but nothing works.
    Any help greatly appreciated

  • Temporary solution to load problem with Satellite C650

I here provide a temporary solution to loading with Satellite C650 problem, which I have faced.

First of all, I've updated my BIOS. After that, I removed the battery and plugged AC for 2-3 minutes.

Then replace the battery and it loaded.

However, the battery got charged up to 99% only and after that the interrupted load and the load remained at 99% and renewed battery indicating "plugged in, not charging."

Therefore, each time I hv to repeat the procedure above to charge my battery.

If any1 has the solution to the prob. above, it would be gr8 to hear.

    Thank you very much!

    Thanks for your posting.
To be honest I really don t know what else you can expect and test it with new battery.

I think that your laptop model must always have a warranty valid, right?
If so, contact Toshiba nearest service provider and ask for replacement.

  • Power with my Tecra M4 problem

    Hello

My laptop can not be operated. At the beginning, when it is connected to the power supply light is green, while the battery light indicates Orange flashes. In this State, I could always feed the system but cannot use the backup battery.

Now, when I try to turn the system battery led turns off completely while the power light flashes orange and the system no longer lights. What could be the problem?

    tonyesuk

    Hi emeline

There is certainly a problem of electronic power supply. Here on the forum, no one can say with certainty why this happens. Depending on your problem description flashing LED sends a code and this code to read the problem can be found successfully.

I recommend you contact the service allowed in your country, and they can help you for sure.
