NB200 - Misplaced characters on the keyboard

Just bought Tosh. NB200 and found the key Board has misplaced characters - for example the @ symbol is found by Maj "and the tilda ~ symbol on the back road back-slash slash is the hash and the hash symbol key is the symbol of the book.

Obviously the keyboard is configured for an alternative configuration - how the hell can I configure to work because it is marked?

Any help much appreciated.

KeV.

Thank you for your comments, buddy!

This new good s :)

  • How to compose utf-8 characters from the keyboard (osx 10.11.4)?

    Hello

In any other non-named operating system, you can press ALT-E28099 enter a utf character.

I've seen instructions on how to do this in an earlier version of Mac OS x, but these instructions do not work.

They tell me in system preferences | Language and text-> then a way to select UTF, but this possibility is therefore more in the new language and region settings.

When I go to my little flag in the menu box above right, I am not shown UTF - 8 as a possibility.

    Help!

    Thank you!!!

OS X does not use utf - 8 for entry.  Normally, you would use the character Viewer (Edit > Emoji and symbols) for the input characters that are not already included in the layout of the keyboard via the option and option more shift.  It has an option to display all Unicode characters.

If you really want to enter special characters through numbers, you can go to the sources of the system/preferences/keyboard and activate the Unicode Hex keyboard configuration.  You can integrate any character by holding down the option key and typing sound 4-digit (or 8 digits for those outside the BMP) hexadecimal Unicode number.  e28099 is 2019 in hexadecimal.  It's the curly apostrophe which can also be made directly from the US keyboard via the shift option]

  • regexp_replace with all characters from the keyboard

    Hello

Using Oracle 11 g 2. I am developing an expression that replaces all characters not found on the keyboard number 2. However, the expression that I developed does not manage all characters. When testing it, some characters are replaced with success, while others are not. For example, if I remove the () in the list of regexp_replace, I should wait for the result of the query to display 22, but it doesn't. Similar results, that's happened to the other characters. Here's my query. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

    Select

    regexp_replace (' $# () / *. %, cm & -~': +! @^ _ = |------;) "<>? / [] {} ', ' [^ A-Za-z0-9$#() / * %., cm &-~': + ! @^ _ = | \ ; "<>? ([/ {} []]', '2') as test

    of the double

-in a class character between character indicates a range, so & -~ does, including (and).

[[Using characters such as] and - in a characterclass, they must be placed in dedicated positions] during the first and the last (or the first if that is not used for another).

Take a look at the documentation on this issue.

    Consider

    Select

    regexp_replace (' $# () / * %., "& -~': +! @^ _ = |------;) » <>?/[]{}', '[^!-~]', '2') as test1

    regexp_replace (' $# () / * %., "& -~': +! @^ _ = |------;) » <>?/[]{}', '[^!-''*-~]', '2') as test2

    of the double

    TEST1 TEST2
    $#()/*%.,'&-~`:+!@^_=|\;" <>?/[]{} $#22/*%.,'&-~`:+!@^_=|\;" <>?/[]{}

! ~ - should probably give you the desired range.

In the second example [^!-"*-~], the () are excluded by splitting the beach to their posts.

  • How can I type the characters printed in green on the keyboard of Acer aspire switch 10?

My (Northern) keyboard on my Acer Aspire switch 10 has some characters printed in green. This includes the backslash character I need desperately. However, I can't find any information in the manual or elsewhere about access (type) these characters. Help, please!

I tried now. With the help of the button Fn-type only the characters printed in blue. The backslash is printed in green, as is the Danish æ and 0-slash (o). Explaining the problem to my wife, she wanted to give it a go. And to my surprise it resolved in less than a minute. I had missed that the backslash WAS ALSO printed in white on the same key as + and? so, to be able to type it, all I have to do is pressed the Alt - Gr key pressing this key. Stupid of me to do not see it the first time around.

Getting back to the question initial on the characters printed in green, I came to the conclusion that it is "conversion" of the keyboard in a Danish provision of individual countries by specifying this keyboard layout in Windows settings. Similarly, there are a few characters printed in red. I assume these are Norwegians.

This type of complexity, that's what you get when manufacturers want to reduce country-variants for as little as possible, I guess.

    So all is well here

For reference, I enclose a picture of my keyboard

You use the wrong keyboard layout. Apparently, you have a UK keyboard, if you want that the UK keyboard layout. You are probably using the American provision.

To change it, go to control panel | Region and language and click the keyboard and languages tab. Then click on change keyboards... and choose the one that suits you.

  • Suddenly strange characters French appearing instead of what the keyboard shows

I have a brand new 520-1050 HP cleaner with a wireless keyboard.  I have the language set on Canadian English (and I double checked that by checking via the control panel).  There is a button on the keyboard (2nd from the bottom line to the left) that says Fn which I assume has something to do with the French.  I hit a combination of keys on the keyboard and now I get characters that are different from what appears on the keyboard.  For example, instead of getting an exclamation mark when I hit this key, I get this: e. or this e depending on whether or not I hit the SHIFT key.  How do I cancel what I have unwittingly given

    Hello MarmMM:

Welcome to HP forum. Language of the Canada uses the English and the French. GoTo your control panel and top-right you see BY. Change it to veiw large icons. Now search for region and language, click on it. It should open the screen Formats. Now click on keyboard and languages (tab at the top) you will see choose a display language. It is at the bottom one if it is written in French. Select the language you want to use. If you want to check your keyboard state. Click on change keyboard and switch to the right language settings if changes were made there also. Please click on Bravo if this solves your problem. Thank you frrw.
