NB200 Windows 7 custom installation

I just installed Windows 7 on my NB200 following the road such custom installation suggested by Toshiba. Once installed, I also ran the Toshiba Software Installer for Windows 7.

However, I can see the webcam installing software, or the WLAN software, I guess they must be installed separately. Looking at drivers and downloads available for the NB200 don't know what date to use as a cut-off point because I ran the Installer software, i.e. it does not install the current drivers of al or srivers up to a certain date, as is - anyone knows what he does not settle. I have had a look but can't find any documentation on what it does and what it does not install.

Thank you very much

This looks at the very least, you'll need to install drivers to get you on the internet. Then I suggest to let Microsoft Update to install everything what they have too. I don't know the answer to your question on what drivers Toshiba moved and you need to download it manually.

Good luck.

  • Help! How can custom installation of Windows 7 from Vista Home Premium, I save my program files? Such as Microsoft Office, McAfee Internet Security etc?

    Hello
Having some difficulty understanding what it is I should do before installing a new upgrade of windows 7. I have the disk to upgrade, but discovered only today I now have to perform a customized installation because I'm upgrading from vista home premium to windows 7 Professional.

So, this means that all program etc. files must also be backed up as well as the usual save multimedia files, photos, etc..

HOW HOW HOW do I save my program files for example office microsoft, mcafee internet sicurity? Is it as simple as the copy on a CD/DVD-R?

    IM so confused, please help!

You cannot save programs and then copy them to another system.

You must reinstall them from the original media. Make sure you have all the license keys you need to reinstall before you start.

Perform a custom installation of Windows 7

With your computer and running of Windows Vista, do one of the following:

    1. If you have a Windows 7 installation disc, insert the disc into your computer. The installation program should start automatically. If it isn't, click on the Start button, click on the computer, open the drive to install Windows 7 on your DVD drive and then double-click setup.exe.

    1. In the page install Windows, click install now.

    2. On the Get updated important for installation page, we recommend getting the latest updates to help ensure a successful installation and to help protect your computer against security threats. Your computer must be connected to the Internet during Windows 7 installation to get these updates.

    3. On the Please read the license terms page, if you agree to the terms of the license, click on I accept the terms of the license and then click Next.

    4. On the type of installation do you want? page, click Custom.

    5. Choose the partition containing Windows Vista (this is often the unit of C) and then click Next. (Do not select your external USB hard drive).

    6. In the Windows .old dialog box, click OK.

    7. Continue to follow the instructions to complete the installation of Windows 7, including naming your computer and set up an initial user account. You can use the same names that you used in Windows Vista, or choose new ones.

Next: Return your files to your computer and re-install your applications from the original media.

  • Custom installation folder (LV 2009)

I was instructed to build an installer from a customer for a base of existing code written in LV2009 (windows XP, Vista, 7).

The code is not well written and a LOT of hard-coded paths.  I'm not paid to recode, and I would like to avoid that if possible.

EXE must be located in c:\projects\FOLDER.  However, I can't get the installer to place anywhere but the standard Windows folders (office, Program files, etc.).

I didn't have to do an installer this before (I always locate my exe in the PF record).

Am I missing something?  I could have sworn that I've done this before.  I can find no Ko or forums about this, which seems strange (well that NEITHER research and find relevant results has been doing worse and worse)

  • Windows 7 OEM installation does not work immediately

    Hello

I tried to install Windows 7 x 64 Premium on a new computer, but I still get this error: "A required CD/DVD drive driver is missing".

I tried two Windows 7 different DVDs, including a new copy from NewEgg, and two of them have started successfully on the drive, so I really don't see what the problem is? I used two readers different external DVD, but what specific drivers for each drive could Windows even need? DVD players must be sufficiently interchangeable to avoid this problem.

I found this article on the basis of knowledge: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2755139, but after using two different DVDs, both manufacturers, none of this applies really, unless they have both missed the combustion.

Means that the probable error, the installation media is corrupt. You can download and create a new copy of Windows 7 Home Premium, and then try again.

Step 1: Download a copy of Windows 7:

As long as the disc is not pre formatted before installing Windows 7, the installation, Windows will create the necessary partitions. Also if you choose 'custom' / clean installation option will ask you as to where you want to install Windows.

    Hello

How to do a clean install:

    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/1649-clean-install-Windows-7-a.html

Sometimes the only way to upgrade is to do a clean install,

" Upgrade Windows XP to Windows 7 "

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/help/upgrading-from-Windows-XP-to-Windows-7#T1=tab01

To upgrade your Windows XP computer to Windows 7, you will need to select custom during installation of Windows 7. A custom installation keeps your programs, files or settings. It is sometimes called a 'clean' for this reason installation.

"Upgrading from Windows Vista to Windows 7"

You then have the repair facility, which is an In = Place Upgrade.

  • Windows 7 RTM Installer deleted logical Partitions

My computer has two physical hard disks, each with multiple partitions. I did a custom installation of Windows 7 Professional RTM on the first hard disk, deleting an old primary partition containing Windows XP (which wouldn't start). However, after I installed Windows 7, ALL of my logical partitions on this disk had also disappeared. The Windows 7 Installer creates two primary partitions: the big partition I realized it, and a partition of 100 MB system reserved. (It is always not allocated the remaining space on the disk, as the new partition for Windows 7 was smaller than the Windows XP partition, which I've deleted.)

    Former route:

    GiB 250 NTFS (primary)
    100 MiB ext2 (primary)
    3 logical partitions (two ext3, a FAT32)
    100 giB encrypted (primary)

    New layout:
    100 MiB NTFS (primary)
    149.9 giB NTFS (primary)
    Unassigned 100 GiB
    100 MiB ext2 (primary)
115,66 giB space (!) free where the logical partitions used to be
    100 giB encrypted (primary)

It seems that the installation program has decided to get rid of my extended partition. How can I recover my old logical partitions?

I managed to restore the missing partitions to aid CGSecurity's TestDisk, but it took some doing. Always, however, the fact that the Windows 7 Installer has deleted my partitions without asking confirmation is more worrying. That's what I guess happened:

Disc has 3 primary partitions and one extended partition, before starting the installation.
I told the installer to remove a primary partition and create a new one in its place to install Windows 7 on. He wanted to do a second primary partition, so she won another partition to delete. He didn't tell me that. He said he may need create additional partitions, but nothing has been said to delete those that already exist.
The Setup program has installed Windows 7, and my extended partition was gone (so logical partitions inside it were no longer accessible).

I recommend strongly anyone install Windows 7 on a disk that contains several other partitions to create a partition for Windows 7 in advance (using the management of disks or DiskPart.exe), instead of using Setup to do. In this way, it will not create the partition of MiB 100 extra.
