Need administrator permission to save the file on the internet - how?

In Windows 7 and using the Explorer 8 - I am trying to save a .jpg file from the internet to a folder on my hard drive. Received the message: "you don't have permission to save in this location. Contact the administrator for approval. "Could not find the answer on what to do next. Thank you

You try to save in a location protected (as a system folder).  When you try to save the image, choose "Desktop" is the place where to store the image.

  • FSX says I need administrator right to save the texture

    Hello microsoft,.

I posted a question similar to this one before, got a response, but did not get specific answers. See, when I download the texture file and to copy them all, cut and paste, after all you're supposed to save the file and start FSX. But when I save the file, he denies and says I need administrator rights to save the file when I am the administrator of the computer. Please give me an answer to this and help. Thank you.

  • You will need administrator permission.

This error has become a nightmare for me. I've been struggling with almost a week now.

I am trying to copy file from my hard drive on my new laptop (windows 7, dell 14z). Some files are throwing error, you will need administrator permission to copy this file, in spite, I logged in as an administrator.
I gave all the tests with the evolution of the property, all permissions, removing UAC all... no help at all.... PLEASE suggest something.

This occurs because the files on your desk belong to a user that is different from the user of the laptop (or different passwords). In asserting the admin rights every time, you tell Windows that you don't care about file property. There are two ways to solve the problem:

    • Use the same account & password on the laptop that you use on the desktop.
    • Take ownership of files and folders: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7network/thread/24bdf172-2dbc-43b8-995d-a99b6a81413c/
If it does not, then it is likely that your files are encrypted. You must decrypt before copying them.

Can I convert an entire folder at a time or I need to convert and save each file in this folder one at a time and then download on my cloud to see my phone as well?

    Hi kezleyp1982,

You can convert files of different format in a folder as PDF by choosing "file > create > create multiple files"

Once converted to PDF format, you can connect to "http://cloud.acrobat.com/" using your Adobe ID credentials and then download all the files to Document cloud at a time (press Ctrl + A to select).

    Hope that helps.

  • Need administrator permission, but I'm the one!

I can't register my Quickbooks data on an external drive because I need the permission of the admisistrator... but I am the administrator.  So I save locally and transfer the file by hand.  Why is it necessary?

So today I tried installing the HP software for my printer and ran into a need for the permission of admisistrator.
I went to the control account to see if I could find something useful.  I tried to disable user account control, but he got the same result.  I've read several questions and answers about similar problems and that you have not found all the solutions which seem to work.  I tried to run the installer as administrator... same result.  I tried compatibility mode for Windows XP sp2... same result.  All the rest either didn't apply to my system or I didn't understand it.

    Hello

Thank you for using Microsoft answers.

Follow the instructions below that may help you resolve the issue.

    Method 1:

If an administrator needs to edit or change the permissions on any file or folder, then the ownership of the file should be taken. The owner can always change permissions on an object, even when all access to the object.

Follow the instructions to take possession of the external drive.

    1. right click on the drive and select Properties.

    2. in the Properties window, select the Security tab.

    3. click on the button Advanced on the Security tab. In the advanced security settings, select the owner tab.

    4. here, you can view the current owner of the file and also the ability to change their owner. Click the button change downstairs.

    5. here, you can select the new owner of the file and apply the settings. You get a warning that you must close the file and open it again for the settings to take place of safety.

    6. now, the owner of the file is changed to the new user.

    Method 2:

In Windows Vista, the built-in Administrator account is disabled by default. In previous versions of Windows, an administrator account was created automatically during Out-of-Box-Experience (OOBE) with a blank password.

An account administrator with a blank password is a security risk. To better protect the system, the built-in Administrator account is disabled by default in all new installations and upgrades of Windows Vista.

Please post back and let us know if it helped to solve your problem.

    Hello

If you are logged on as administrator?

I suggest you give permission to folders and files and check if the problem persists:

    a. right click on the file or folder for which you want to set permissions, click Propertiesand then click the Security tab.

    b. click Advanced to open the Advanced security settings for dialog box.

    c. click on the owner tab, click Edit. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click continue.

    d. in the new Advanced security settings for the change in ownership ofbox: field, select your user name and verify the replace the owner of sub containers and objects. Click OK, repeat for the other boxes. (If your username is not click other users or groups to add your account).

  • Windows needs administrator rights to enter the PUK code number

    Hello

in the company I currently work for, many users use a laptop with a mobile connection to connect to the internet.

It sometimes happens that the user has entered the wrong PIN code several times, so Windows needs the PUK code to unlock the SIM card.

Windows 7 (and Windows 8 also) administrator rights are needed to enter the PUK code.

Laptop users don't usually have local administrative rights, so internally, IT needs to enter the PUK code.

Why is it necessary to have administrative rights to enter the PUK code?

A possible solution would be to remove the SIM card from the laptop and insert it into a mobile phone. Currently not possible, because the mobile phone requires a SIM nano and the laptop on a mini SIM card. We would therefore order to new nano sim cards and buy a lot of cards. It should work, but I would prefer a software solution.
