  Hi badddogusa,

  Head over to C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\PProHeadless and 6.0 and rename it old6.0. Reboot the machine and then launch the product. I hope this helps.

• Installation of Premiere Pro Cs6 stalls to 36%

  During the installation of Adobe first Pro Cs6 Trial Version Installer says I have to restart my machine before continuing.

  The exact error reads "Setup has detected that a reboot of the machine may be waiting. It is recommended that you exit Setup, restart your computer and try to reinstall.

  

  After that several reboots, I still got the same error, then now I touched just ignore.  When I do the installation program continues, and it stops at 36%.

  

  My machine:

  Windows 7 64 bit

  8GB memory

  Processor Intel Core i7 CPU Q820 1.73GHz

  I have other Adobe products such as Adobe Photoshop CS6 and Adobe Lightroom 4 installed to name a few.

  After reading my mistake, I see that it was at a standstill to install AdobeHelp.
  I sought and found another user having the same problem. He suggested to bring up the Task Manager and killing the InstallAdobeHelp.exe.

  It seemed to work as my installation is now moving forward.

  Where will be fixed the bug Capture HDV to 6.0.5?

  Just buy the Mac version and may not even start to use because of this bug.  Seems to have been a question for a while (9/2013).

  Found many discussions on CreativeCow and Adobe receommend even reinstall and back to 6.0.4.  User who tried and even returned to 6.0.2 and still has problems with the HDV capture.  They used a Canon, I use a Sony HVR - Z1U.

  I've just updated for Premiere Pro CS6. On one of my systems, it would not load because of the following error:

• Need to change the format of the pixels in the Photo for the Premiere Pro CS6 sequence.

  I'm using Premiere Pro CS6. I just created a new custom sequence (1:1 in square pixels, 720 x 480) because I need to import a bunch of video clips in 720 x 480 with square too many pixels. All is well, the videos fit the program monitor window perfectly.

  But when I import my pictures (which are as 720 x 480, resized and cropped by me personally to have this EXACT final size) they fill the monitor window of the program (leaving black borders!) and when I right click on their properties, I see that their format of pixels is 0.9091 and NOT 1.0 !

  Can you please suggest a way to prepare my photos so that their format of pixels is standard pixel-squares 1.0 ? (I use a program called ACDSee for batch pictures, as there are many of them). I don't want not to change the settings for the sequence to 0.9091, because then my video clips to adapt and to keep borders!

  If a graphics card is not on the "Supported" list, this does not mean that it doesn't work. All you need to do is make a simple text change in the 'cuda_supported_cards.txt' file to make it work. See the Top 20 MPE Gain Chart and note how many cards not supported is there. And Adobe has been negligent in the update of this list. For example, the 680 is supported, but not mentioned on this list.

  Another way to see this is to go to the test results and then select video card / GeForce 600 series and (currently) see 51 results. If you then click in the column heading "Video card" it will be sorted by card. Clicking again will reverse the sort order.

  I use Premiere Pro CS6 for some time now, but only for stereo video projects. I recently started working on a short film and necessary 5.1 Surround sound as well. I created a track 5.1 surround to the AU and were able to control the sound and the surround panning effects in AU during development. Here is the Audio parameters and mapping the chain, I used to get my 5.1 working so I could control:

  

  As can be seen, I chose the default Ms Device Class here, and everything seems fine. I have 6 channels identified and mapped in the right corners. I also confirmed that my title of master in AU is 5.1 Surround. I exported a 5.1 WAV and it imported to the RA, in a session of 5.1 surround, confirming that the track where landed the WAV file and the captain are both 6 channels (and even if the order is displayed differently, the content correctly mapped from UA in Pr).

  Now, my fun began. When I followed the audio Pr, I mean only stereo. So, I check my channel mapping in Pr, as shown below:

  

  As can be seen here as well, I chose the sound 'default' first Pro WDM. I learned that the WDM is a newer version of MS and encapsulates all the functionality of Ms. I don't know why in the use Mrs. and Pr WDM. However, as shown, with WDM chosen, I have that 2 channels in the dialog mapping to work with, not the 6 I (and was in AU). I can't will produce these other four channels.

  As seen in the fall down captured in the screenshot above, I also ASIO4ALL installed, but shows too only 2 channels in the Pr and the AU. Interestingly, when I move the mouse over the selection of the speakers in the control panel of ASIO4ALL, it indicates there are only 2 channels (but says that there are 6 INPUT channels). Creative SBZ series ASIO option is not better, offering only 2 channels.

  So I went to check my system settings, which are all shown below:

  

  As seen above, Windows knows y 5.1 surround on the system, and the Test available in the box on the left bottom proves that each speaker is configured and working properly. Hearing knows as 5.1 is available on my system and use it correctly, as described above. However, Pr refuses to acknowledge this fact and therefore, I am unable to monitor projects 5.1 surround on my system. If the AU neither Pr worked, then I would mark it down as driver or the sound card, but as an Adobe product problems correctly uses the audio system and the other is not, it leads me to believe that it is Pr that is at fault.

  So, my question is the following: why Pr won't recognize my as to the fact 6 output channels?

  Any advice would be appreciated.

  I finally got an external audio interface (MOTU UltraLite MK3), and I can see NOW all channels in Pr and to the. So it seems that it WAS the Creative Soundblaster card and it has the drivers (32 vs 64, or something similar) which prevented one or the other of Pr or AU to see the surround channels.
