Need an SSD to replace my HARD drive in 15 "model end of 2011 of the MBP

I use the original disc of hard - 750 GB - provided with the MBP (late 2011 model), but its very slow and I want out parts of the HARD drive before it dies. (I also have a Quad Core i7 processor - another reason I want to keep this MBP, rather than having to buy a new for $3 k).

I watched the SanDisk SSD. Later those go up to 960 GB of storage, but they are SATA III models and my MBP has only capacity SATA II with a link speed negotiated 3. GBs WHEREAS the SATA III new models (SanDisk/Samsung) can handle up to 6 GBs. SanDisk Tech Support told me I could use their latest models SATA III , but the speed would be actually slower that my current set up.

Thus, all other options for me? for one SSD that is compatible with my MBP and increase the speed?

Thank you! Appreciate any help!

Gary

If you use a perpetual Photoshop and formatted your disc version of starting without disabling your activation of Photoshop, you also Adobe supports help you activate Photoshop once you retrieve your serial number.  The startup disk formatting would destroy that credential of Activation Photoshop machine which is registered in the database of the Adobe activation server. Which reduces the activation numbers you have to use.  If you have Photoshop installed on a second computer that means that you have no free activation available as well, even with your key you can't activated the machine.

  • Need help with total replacement of hard drive and reinstall

Hello everyone, first of all, I would like to thank you for all the help I get, I hope. I have a HP Envy 14 Beats edition laptop 1260se and I recently bought a new SSD that really made my laptop fast. The only problem I have is that I bought the HP recovery discs so I could get all the drivers and all restored but it does not at all. So I used a windows 7 Professional iso disc my friend had and installed windows (64-bit) and everything works perfectly, but miss me volume controls that appear on the screen. Usually when I press volume upwards or downwards using the keys on my keyboard it would show a bar in the middle of the screen telling me where is my volume. Now I just see the little volume icon in the taskbar that are just a little shy. Also I have more beats off button work. Is there a way I can download these small things to make my laptop almost the same as it was out of the box without all the bloatware? Any help would be appreciated and sorry in advance if it is confusing.

    Hello:

I don't know about the audio thing Beats, but I think you need the HP OSD utility to get the volume control appears on the screen.

The likely reason that the recovery disks did not work, it's your SSD has been a smaller capacity mobile mechanical HDD initially provided with.

Probably nothing, it's probably a fluke. Try resetting the SMC and the PRAM by iMac Intel SCM and reset the PRAM. If this does not work, try a USB keyboard to test, if it works then your original keyboard has failed and must be replaced.

  • Help, I need to replace my hard drive in my hp pavilion a6863w how can I do this?

The surface of the hard drive, test and get the test failed, a seagate 2 TB SSHD. I want to install it and I'm sure that I can do, but I need to know if I should leave the wrong disc in and just add this one, if I do this will it take all other cables, if yes, I'd rather just old-fashioned.
I have the recovery install disks that I made when I bought first. I used these b4 to reinstall.

I just need to know the steps if I add the 2nd disc or steps (if I need a cable) to replace the old disk with a new disk. This player would be my boot drive? When I ask for the steps, I'm more concerned about turning off the computer and what is it I have unplugged, etc.. Then once the new drive up, just run the recovery discs or y at - it an easier way?
I tried to run a backup, but he stopped and wouldn't let me. I have all my important things like photo movies already saved etc.

Remove the old drive, replace it with a new one and use the set of recovery disks. Choose factory image recovery.

  • I need to replace my hard drive in my Samsung laptop, I have windows 7

I need to replace my hard drive in my Samsung laptop, I have windows 7. I want to reinstall it on the new hard drive running on linux but on install windows 7 on a virtual hard drive, how can I transfer the activation code

    In other words, you can't.

Assuming that your edition of Windows 7 is the one that supports the transfer of a virtual machine (i.e. the upscale home and more)...

You will need to do a clean install of the virtual machine, using the retail media and the key of the COA sticker.

You may need to activate by phone.

Note that Samsung have historically refused to provide any form of media except through a factory install. This means that it is almost impossible to install the original media for anything except the original disk, using the recovery partition.

  • Replace broken HARD drive: need a

Hi, I have a desktop HP Pavilion h6310y, Win7(x64). 6 GB ram, 1 TB WD HDD.

The drive has crashed. He was giving me problems for a while now, but now he's dead. I ran diagniostics standard hp bios on it.

    Error code: BIOHD - 1

Error: Fail to communicate with the device.

    Contact HP support.

The computer and the drive is out of hub, so I'll just have to replace.

I can go to Amazon and buy a.

    But my question is:

    1. do I need a disk with Windows7? (I have no cause).

The computer would have a partition on the hard disk with it.

    2. I did the DVD of recovery before it crashed, as the system image on the external hard drive. This will be enough to reinstall?

or I have to order DVD of Win7?

    3. How can I order the DVD if I need one? I wanted to call HP and ask, but they will supposedly, charge me to ask, because I'm out of warranty.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Michael

    Hi Michael,

To answer your questions in order.

    1. everything you need to buy is a new hard drive.

    2. you can use your recovery DVDs to reload the operating system on the new HARD drive, or the best option would probably be to load the Disk Image as this will reload Windows in the exact state wherever it was when the image was created.

    3. If you ever need to, you can order a set of replacement recovery disks using the link below.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c00810334

If you have a problem with this link, order them directly from HP.

If you live in the United States, contact HP here.

If you are in another part of the world, begin here.

    Kind regards

  • Need to replace my hard drive, no response from hp in 5 days

    Hello

I bought a HP Pavilion Touchsmart 15b146ef in France a few months (still under warranty) and my hard drive now dead. I ran a test drive hard short check DST failed with following failure ID: 60D5XV-6MQ6TA-MFPWW1-60QX03. It is an error 303, which means that I have no choice but to replace my HARD drive. The problem is that I'm in Sweden for my studies and no HP is able to help me (in France and Sweden).
What can I do? Does anyone have a direct contact by email that I could use to talk with the assistance of HP Sweden?

Thanks for reading and responding if possible

I can't reach the HP Sweden Helpdesk (I tried 5 long days). Do you have any contact? Sorry but NO, I have no information other than what is publicly available contact.

And I don't have any driver CD/DVD on my computer, how can I do without having to buy an external CD/DVD drive? On today's computers, a 32 GB USB Flash Drive can replace the recovery disks. If the computer can start again and the recovery partition is not damaged, you may be able to create a recovery USB Flash drive.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

  • I need to replace my hard drive on my laptop. How can I install my apps on the new drive without having to pay another subscription

As the title of the discussion. I will replace my hard drive on my laptop to improve performance, which means reinstall my Photoshop/Lightroom and Bridge apps. How can I go about it without having to pay another fee to subscriptio?

Simply install them again.  You are allowed two active installations at the same time.  If you have already used, the installation process will tell you that and whether to disable one of the facilities as soon as possible.  Say Yes.  If you have not installed on a desktop as well, then open Photoshop on this system.  If it has been disabled, tell it to disable a previous installation, as you did with the laptop, and you should be OK from there.

    Hey guys,.

I have a pc hp pavilion touch laptop 14, which has been having a defective hard disk that the operating system was not start and the system test indicated that the hard drive contained errors.

I replaced the hard drive with a new one and before installing the hard drive I formatted with a win installation 8.1. I thought the laptop would just start normally to win8, but gave me a screen saying:

The hard drive is new and I did not not how its gives me this error!

In addition, this laptop does not seem to boot from a cd to format!

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

    Hey BHK6,

I found out what was wrong! It was so simple!

I just need to make the boot inherited from the bios, like that he started directly from the hard drive and does not need of any software pre installed HP to start.

    Thanks for your help anyway
