  As far as I know for Satellite L650 exist no high capacity batteries but only one original with capacity 4400mAh.

  Do not use other batteries which are not compatible to your laptop model and this largest battery does not fit into your laptop.

  What you should try is to reduce power consumption. Use the power saver Power plan. Reduce the brightness of the display, close all unnecessary applications and disable all devices that you don't need.

  According to the specifications of the laptop you have A100 (PSAAQE). Am I right about that?

Please choose your laptop and all the stuff for download is listed. Please use the instructions facilities document and install stuff all offered in good order.

  After having done that, I am sure that there should be everything is OK.

  On my X60s original battery died and I decided to buy the battery high capacity for it. I bought the battery 8 cells (40Y7003) the Lenovo Web site suggested according to my model number, but it does not fit! It corresponds to the binding, but it is thicker and tighter than 4 cells, I had, and when cell 8 is installed, because it is thicker, my laptop could not be balanced. It's like a table with one leg shorter than the other.

  The question is what my X60s battery. Only 4 cells (40Y6999), or I can combine with the long battery life (40Y7005), or there are other large capacity batteries that can result in laptop?

  where have you tried to download the drivers you need? I give now two links and you should find what you need.
  About the hardware on your system, you take a linux live cd and when the system boots you can note that material has been discovered as soon as linux from the CD.

  Yes, the A100 Equium supports the SATA HDD controller and so you will need a SATA 2.5 HARD disk!

  Yes, the upgrade of the HARD drive is not difficult.
  In most cases, you will need to remove the HDD from the laptop's HARD drive Bay, then switch the HARD drive bracket to the new HARD drive, then insert the new HARD disc again in Notepad.

  Being a Novice in computer science I need help with to download drivers for my computer. By using the Device Manager I found that I have no drivers for video controller (VGA Compatible), SM Bus controller, video controller, Modem device on high definition Audio Bus & Ethernet Controller.

  And downloaded mainly all the drivers on the page, but it shows lack drivers in Device Manager.
  If anyone knows where to find the drivers or if I am wrong somewhere, your help would be appreciated. :)

  I checked the link in your post above and found a txt file called installation instructions.
  Please follow the guidance and the order of installation line in this document.

  You shouldn't t not see yellow exclamation or pilots missing in Device Manager if you will install all of the drivers mentioned in the installation instructions.

  Usually all SATA drivers should be included in the Microsoft XP operating system and so it should not be necessary to use the SATA drivers.

  But if you will not be able to install XP on your laptop, I recommend first, including Service Pack 2 for the XP CD.

  Just FYI; the RAID, SATA drivers can be downloaded from the Intel page. Just search if you need!

• Equium A100-338 - battery power problem

  My daughter has an Equium A100-338 bought England under Vista Home Premium 15 months ago. He has recently developed a problem with the battery life, which in theory should mean the replacement of the battery, but I'm not so sure!

  The battery quickly descends to say 80% 6 minutes remaining, about 20 minutes after a full charge. Then put it in charge that it retrieves to 100% in about 20 minutes. The notebook gets rather warm below, but I think it's probably normal, that old equium of my other daughter gets warm anyway.

  Someone has encountered this problem, or is it just that he needs a new battery? I would have thought that it would have lasted longer, the other Equium battery is still going strong and is one year more!

  Hmm I think that you battery is not dead and can be used much longer than you think.

  I see that you have Vista on your laptop. This OS needs more resources for laptop as the Win XP for example. This would mean that laptops preinstalled Vista would be shorter on the battery as the laptop with Windows XP.

  Finally, and especially the battery working time is highly dependent on the use of the laptop.
  If you play games or watch movies DVD battery discharges faster.
