Need BIOS 1.2 for Satellite 1410 303

Hi all Toshiba Satellite 1410 303 users.

I'm having a problem with my video card bios.
My computer's DMI system Version PS141E - 0502 X - VIDEO adapter nVIDIA GeForce4 420 Go (Toshiba),

The victory of Bios 1.40 toshibas page does not work for me.
So, if someone could make the backup to its bios,
I NEED bios version 1.20 (THE ORIGINAL ONE for TOSHIBA 1410-303) will be very happy.

If you could post it to my email [email protected].

Hello

The latest BIOS 1.4 - winner which is placed on the page of the Toshiba driver is good.
I put t know why you said that this don't work on your Satellite 1410 but older BIOS versions of the BIOS are not available for download.
I m not quite sure if an ASP technician could help you but it s worth a try to get in touch with one of the ASP and ask for the old BIOS.

  • I want to install the new HDD for Satellite 1410 303

Can I install the MK8032GAX HARD disk (80 GB Toshiba 2.5 "IDE, 5400 RPM, 16 MB) on my Toshiba Satellite 1410 303? BIOS will detect it?

Unfortunately there no document on this subject because the HARD drive upgrade is dealer so-called option, and because of this, there is no specific info on the upgrade of the HARD drive. According to the specifications of the laptop, this laptop model comes with 20 GB of HARD drive.

I'm sure you can use 40 or 60 GB without any problems. About 80 GB I won't speculate, but maybe someone has already tested and will post here in the next few days.

    Good luck!

I indetified HARD disk location, but I don't understand how to disconnect the HARD disk.

Thank you and sorry for my English

    Hello

As far as I know, the machine was delivered with 20 GB of HARD drive.
After a long search I found a 100 GB HARD disk for this device.
I think that there is a maximum size.
    Check this box:
    http://www.Kahlon.com/rm30859_Toshiba_Satellite_1410-303.html

Also it is not very difficult to replace the HARD drive. On the site from the bottom of the laptop, you can find the cover of the HARD drive. You must remove it. As far as I know it s a single screw. Then you can remove safe HDD form Bay.

  • Need bios 2.30 for Satellite X 200 - 24Z

    Hi all

I upgraded my X 200 - 24Z of version 2.30 of bios to version 2.50 but it does not work correctly now (boot is much slower, graphic quality has declined, the screen flashes a lot and SLI is sometimes automatically disabled). I would go back to version 2.30, but I can't find a downloadable version anywhere (I found this link, but the server requires a username and a password that I don't have and don't know how to get them.) I tried the Forum and my Toshiba user account, but they did not work).

Please help me find the bios 2.30 and reflash my pc.
    Ahmed

Only the latest version of the BIOS is available on the European Toshiab page.
If you need another version then comes into contact with the local ASP (sent an email, call, whatever) and ask if you can have the old version of the BIOS.

I'm not quite sure if the ASP would be able to help you, but as far as I know only Toshiba authorised service provider have access to earlier versions of BIOS of m.

By the way; update you the graphic driver after the BIOS update. would be desirable

  • Satellite 1410-303-new CPU does not work

    Hi all
MI name Fabio, I'm an Italian boy, sorry for my bad English...

I have a problem with my Toshiba Satellite 1410 303, I buy a new processor (Pentium 4 mobile 2 GHz 512 k 400bus) but it does not work.
When I turn on my laptop, I hear the system Speaker beep contiunos that never stop until I turn off the system.
I clear CMOS, and then I spend my BIOS with the latest 1.40 version.

    Do you have a solution?

    Thanks for the help

    Bye!

    Hello

Have you installed the same CPU than before, or have you installed a different CPU?

I checked the manual of the Satellite 1410 and he normally equipped with an Intel Celeron CPU processor and in my opinion, it is the reason why it doesn't work.
Upgrading the CPU is not being official and it seems that the motherboard and BIOS don't support this CPU.

  • Satellite 1410-303-the s key is blocked

    Hello, I have a * Toshiba Satellite 1410 303 * and the "s" key is annoying me a lot.

It does not work either, it keeps on himself. I must + ESC + to stop it. Should I clean under the keyboard? And how there?

    Please answer 4!

    Hello!

Try to turn off the laptop, press the s key and use the jet of compressed air to remove dirt or something else which is located under the key.

I hope that it works and if not, I think that you need a new keyboard because it is not possible to Exchange simple keys on the keyboard. :(

  • Satellite 1410-303: black vertical banner on the far right of the screen

    Hi all

I had to format my Satellite 1410 303, and then I added also 256 MB of RAM so the total is now 512 MB. It works fine but the problem is that now I have a black vertical bar, which covers about one inch from the far right of the screen and when you move the mouse it the "offsets" to the right, but the black bar monitor remains in place. Very annoying.

Also, since I formatted the laptop, I do not have the controls in Toshiba or utility, so I can't change the width of the screen, or perform any other work related operations.

    Your help is very appreciated.

As a first step, it will be interesting to know something about the pre-installed OS and drivers. I assume that you used your own CD of facilities and the recovery media not original. Am I right about that?

What drivers you have installed, in particular display driver?

    Hi mate

As much as I know European Toshiba driver page does provide no details what has been changed in the BIOS.
But I found some details on the Toshiba U.S. page.
It seems that Fn + N + 1/2/3/4 function of debugging has been removed in 2.0 BIOS to avoid the abnormal behavior of the keyboard.

  • Updating BIOS for Satellite 1900-303

    I have a portable Satellite 1900-303.
I downloaded the Bios upgrade the bios 20071126165418 but when I run the Check.exe he informs me that it is bad upgrade.
But the text in the upgrade files include 1900-303.

Is there a different model of the Satellite to the Satellite 1900-303 called simply 1900-303 or is it the correct Bios, please help.

    Hello

I checked the page European driver of Toshiba and I found two different versions.
There is a BIOS 1.80 and 2.10 BIOS. The two BIOS version are traditional BIOS.
This means that the BIOS must be updated using the traditional procedure using a floppy disk

But why do you want to update the BIOS?
Is something wrong with your laptop?

You know that a BIOS update is always risky, and it should be done only as the last option in the solution
