Need files restored flashdrive sauvegardΘ

I have a Toshiba vista 32 - bit home basic system. A virus got into my system and took awhile to clean completely. The system was blue projected with limited function. I did a system restore which has restored my office, but left many other region somewhat disabled (i.e. programs). I decided to reinstall my operating system with full recovery disk Toshiba. My computer works obviously very well, but I have a pny flash drive with my old saved files (backup), and when I tried to reload the files using backup windows and restore advanced, the computer gave a window message titled: lack of user account. The message states: files that you are restoring have security permissions to a user account that is not found on this computer. The missing user account is shown below (i.e., Randall Lowe-PC/Randall Lowe). Please use ctrl. Panel to create a user account with the same name. The security permissions in these files will be reallocated to this user account. CK. Box: restoring files without reallocating the security permissions. My old pc user name was Randall Lowe. My new is Randall. I created a user account Randall Lowe, but it did not work. Red window box appears and indicates: mapping and I.D. not correct. The name given (above) did not fit into the user account area. It looks like my name old/new pc, (Randall Lowe-PC). I used the option to bypass the security permissions. The download of the file ran but never loaded, no prompt message, nothing. How can I download my files? Thank you! R Lowe

QUESTION: Do I need to restore a full database to be consistent?
    =====================================================

You don't have to restore the full database. You just need to restore the backup controlfile and restore the database.
The steps you mentioned are good restore the controlfile. After recovery, you must open the database in resetlogs.

Also, you can take a look at this http://neeraj-dba.blogspot.com/2011/04/loss-of-control-file-in-various.html

  • File restore from Time Machine Yosemite to El Capitan

I need to restore a single file from a Time Machine backup of Yosemite to my new iMac El Capitan.  The file in question has been saved from a Mac Pro from 2008 to a Time Capsule.  I put Time Machine in the dock and right clicked on it, so I could navigate "Other Time Machine disks" and I am able to see the Mac Pro to backup, then select it.  However when loading the backup, it's for my new iMac and not for the Mac Pro.

How can I solve this problem?

    Hi jt

To be honest, the easiest is to go through the Finder. Navigate to the document you want and copy. Then simply paste it where you want.

The finder will allow you to see all of the back-ups no matter the OS at the time.

    Hope this helps, Greg

  • 2000 laptop 365DX: need to restore but have a restore partition point or recovery.

Hi guys. I have a laptop HP 2000-365DX with Windows 7 Home Premium.   Its so crowded and I need to restore back to original settings.  I had installed Ubuntu (partitioned) all the time and has been very stupid, because I deleted my partition recovery HP tools.  Now, I searched here on HP.com to order a recovery disc and apparently I can't find one for my specific model.  So what I have done is downloaded a file .iso Windows 7 Home Premium (with a good soul on these forums) and I need to download all the drivers for my laptop as well but HP is having some problems now so I can't download them (which is fine that I'm in no hurry).  So, that's all as far as my knowledge goes.  I have my Win7 disc and hopefully soon have my drivers disk.  What I do not know how, it's clear my computer to start from zero Setup Win7 again then all my drivers.  I read that DBAN (Darik Boot and Nuke) erases your hard drive clean, but that seems very extreme.  Looks like I would use to wipe my drive hard if I had to sell my laptop or to erase the evidence, but if that's my solution I'm cool with that.  So, really, I'm wandering what I should do now.  And I really re - install my drivers as well?  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hello

You can delete all existing partitions on the HARD disk during installation, as follows.

    Start the installation.

When you get to the screen 'What type on installation', choose the custom (Advanced) option, and then click drive options (Advanced).

Here you can delete all existing partitions at a time by clicking on the partition to highlight it and then click Remove.

A when you're finished, you'll have just one entry named not 'allocated space' - just proceed with the installation.

    Kind regards

  • Cloning hard drive, CC and Adobe Apps will work if I need to restore a clone?

Hi, I am currently setting up a new Mac and intend to install my Adobe Apps through creative cloud. Installing all my software can take a long time, when I have downloaded all my apps I want to make a backup image of the hard drive of my Mac on a USB drive to give me an option to quickly restore a pure install my snack programs nothing is ever bad. My Adobe apps still work with that or they will stop working if I ever need to restore my clone image?

Migration of Mac with Time Machine DO NOT WORK with the Cloud program activations due to hidden files... you will need to do a fresh install

I don't know if a program not Apple will work

For my windows machine, the product that I use is http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/image-for-linux.htm

Image streams a via Linux bootable CD (the Zip that you download includes a program to make the bootable CD) and it reads EVERYTHING on the disk, even the information hidden, so everything is restored when necessary... and you can restore a disk image new in case of crash and no duty re - install anything

Click on the link and see if the Zip file includes a routine to create a bootable CD that will run on a Mac to make the CD

  • Why do I need to "RESTORE" anything, I JUST bought the thing?

I bought Apple TV yesterday, worked well. Today, he says that I need to restore something. Why do I need to "RESTORE" anything, I JUST bought the thing?

  • Apple TV 4th generation has need of restoration

I bought my Apple TV 4th generation in the UK and I use it to good advantage here at home, in Bolivia. However, when I switched it on the other day he said that I needed to restore the software. That's when I discovered that I needed a USB, USB - C cable. In all of Santa Cruz, Bolivia, after much research, I managed to get a cable. Why oh why Apple don't provide this cable with the TV? They provide a lightning cable to recharge the remote control.

Anyway - my question to the community is - everyone knows a 4th Gem Apple TV which must be retired? I used a 2nd generation Apple TV for a few years with no problems at all. Restores a normal need?

I had a lot of mountain BIKING throughout the years and never had need to restore, and most will never do. For those that do they choose to get a cable or take it to Apple

  • I have an ipod shuffle 4th generation and when I open itunes that he told me that I need to restore it to the original settings, when I do it tells me that I need to restore it again

I can't put music on my iPod cause it says I need to restore

As test, try to stop (off) your computer and unplug all USB devices.  You can leave a standard USB keyboard and mouse connected, if used.  Turn the shuffle switch to position OFF, so previous ON.  Computer, run iTunes and connect the iPod to a USB direct on the computer by itself.  Try to do a restore again.  Any difference once the restoration is complete?

  • I need to restore the with the Toshiba Satellite P200 recovery disk

I also need to restore my P200 with the Toshiba CD. There is a note on the Pocket: insert the CD, power off, turn on with press F12, select the drive and follow the explanations. I wonder if it is possible to reformat just the 2nd disc.

I can confirm what sascha wrote. I have Satellite A300 with 2 hard drives and via recovery DVD you can simply install OS on the first HARD disk. The second HDD is not visible for a second and Toshiba software engineers have designed to work with the first HARD disk only.

  • I need to restore my phone, but my parents forgot restriction code. Help?

My parents have completely forgotten the restriction on my phone code. Apple says I need to restore it, but I can't do it without the restriction code. Is there a way I can get around this? Do I need to go to the apple store it self to fix it?

If you have forgotten the password for your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple supports

If you have a backup that was made so that you have a RESTRICTION password enabled, you cannot restore this backup because you re - will just access code that you don't remember.

You start as a new device and stay that way. In other words, your data is lost. The Apple Store has no way around that.

It turns out that the restoration was not necessary. I hear the "clunk" after syncing when you press the controls until I have manually choose a playlist to play. Until the latest iPod update would simply start playing "all songs"... no more...
