Need help license transfer from the old to the new computer.

What is the procedure to transfer Acrobat X Pro license previously downloaded from the Adobe LWS from one computer to another without having to purchase a new license?

Appreciate any assistance.

Hi Mikhail Y.,.

To the license transfer of Acrobat X from your first computer to the second computer, you just need to uninstall Acrobat X from your first computer and install it on the second computer with serial number.

With any other software, it is necessary to disable the software in the Help menu of the software but with Acrobat X uninstaller will disable the software of the machine and you can easily activate the same thing on the second computer.

Kind regards

How to use transfer windows for xp to xp.  When I plug usb computers are delivered to the top with the same screen and when I try to use the transfer to the new computer, it just said information gathering and sits for hours

    Hello, welcome.

The process is automatic and the maximum transfer rate should be about 20 GB/HR. If the process crashes during that long of a time, it's probably because of something internal rather something you're doing wrong.
For reference purposes, I included this link. It goes into the details of the migration from XP to Vista (and the basic steps you follow). The instructions are for migrating to Vista via the network, but you can easily follow the steps and choose a different option for your specific installation.
For both machines, I recommend you to prepare for the transfer using the following procedure:
    1. click on START > run
2 type "msconfig" (without the quotes) and press enter
    3. go to the "Startup" tab and uncheck all the entries displayed
    4. click on 'Apply' at the bottom right
DO NOT RESTART YOUR COMPUTER AGAIN
    5. click on START > run
    6. Type "cmd" (without the quotes). Right-click on the result at the top of the menu START and select 'run as administrator '.
    7. type chkdsk /r and press enter
8 allow the system to attempt disassembly of the volume
    9. allow the system to plan restarting
    10. restart your computer
11 let checkdisk analyze the file system on your hard drive
    12. Once completed, perform the same steps on the other machine
    13. Once completed, repeat the transfer

    Let us know what happens
    Thank you!

  • NEED to recover files from the xp computer that does not start.

I changed startup on an old xp computer programs and now it does not start (I can accidentally put driver not run at startup). blue screen; STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF8992528, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000) xp sp3 no safe mode without recovery does Center no disc. I just bought a computer to try to recover the information with win 7 but can not slave the drive to him because it is ide and the new computer is too modern. I need to save files are important on the xp computer is it possible to save them?

I met this BSOD error several times, and the following fix usually (not always) allows the hard disk to be read by the system...

-Boot your system and access the BIOS Setup
-It will vary with different systems, but try to press "F2", "F10" or "delete".
-If you need help with this step, let me know the model of the system, and I'll see what I can come up with
-In the configuration of the BIOS, looking something like "Device Boot Configuration"
-Go to the hard disk configuration and change the current option
-Here are the most common options that I can think of:
-SATA IDE, AHCI, (newer systems have more options, such as IRRT)
-If the current option is "SATA", change it to "AHCI" or "IDE".
-If the current option is 'DCIS', change it to "IDE", etc...

It's just a quick run through a possible fix, without knowing the details of your system!  If you need more detailed help, I would like to know the details of the system, and we'll see what we can do!

  • Can I transfer to the new computer hard drive with the operating system

I am building a new computer and want the best way to transfer my data.  I can transfer the data to a new SATA drive and then install the new drive in the new computer without having to do anything else.   Or I can install XP on the new computer first then do the transfer queue using the old IDE drive in a portable USB enclosure?  or?

    TKS

    John

    Sort that works is great.

If you use the USB case, make sure that it can provide enough power to the drive.  Usually this isn't a problem if the old drive was a laptop computer but can be a problem if it was a desktop drive.

Assuming that your old computer still works, the easiest is to put all the files you want to transfer to a folder, and then share this folder on the network.  Connect both computers to your home network, then simply attach to the shared folder on the network from the other computer and drag and drop your files to your new computer.

  • CS6 transfer to the new computer

Hello! I have a year long subscription (paid monthly) to CS6, but just received a new computer. How can I transfer my old computer to my new computer CS6?

    Hi trumbullina,

I have checked your account & found you have a subscription active individual creative cloud.

Please launch any product CC, disable in the menu help (top right).

In the new computer, connect to www.creative.adobe.com, download & install Office CC App & installation of other products.

Please let us know if it worked.

  • Cannot open my catalog after transfer to the new computer

I use 7 components on the computer that is running Windows XP. At about 5000 photos in my catalogue - all the tag and captioned.

Am in the process of moving to the new computer with Windows 7, 64-bit version. Used original disc to load Elements 7 on the new machine and organizing elements opens OK, but with just a white Notepad - and all tags are missing.

I used Windows Easy Transfer to move all the files and settings to the new machine.

The catalog seems to have been transferred and help items > Information System shows that it is located in the - who he is, according to Windows Explorer.

    C:\ProgrammeData\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\Catalogs\My catalog

But I could find no way to do items to connect to that file and open it like "My catalog" on the new machine. Would be catastrophic to see that I have to re tag and caption all of these photos. Probably impossible.

Have tried all the options in the drop down for the catalog file.

Have had different opinions on Elements 7 can be used with Windows 7 64 bit - some say it's OK, others say not. If it is open as it did in XP - just does not detect the catalog.

    Any ideas please?

OK, so you move the catalog.pse7db to the new computer, as well as anything else that seems to be linked to this folder (for example the subfolders).

Put it all on the new computer somewhere (any, any). If your photos are in the exact same on the new computer as they were on the old computer, you are finished. Just double-click on the file catalog.pse7db. If your photos are not in the same EXACT spot on the new computer, they were on the old computer, then use Windows to move them to this location.

  • Windows live photo gallery: original photos lost the transfer to the new computer

photos to the new computer, and the originals have not been transferred as im guessing they're saved in the software/program that cannot be transferred.

If there is not a way to transfer original and edited photos to the new computer, is there a way to return all original with a single click, so that I can transfer the originals on my new computer?

    Thank you.

Thank you, you saved my originals... I copy paste, but can not work how to connect my pictures changed to the originals so that I can click on my modified photos and click on 'back '.

    Thanks again

    ===========================================
Sorry, but I don't have the exact solution for re - associate the
originals with edited versions.  The only thing I would like to know
to try would be to place the originals in the original Images
    folder on the new system.

Maybe... I say just that maybe if you copied the photo gallery
exclusive database of the old system and used it to replace
the database on the new system. (Just copy and paste the file in)
the appropriate on the new system folder, and when you see
... dialog box you want to replace? with? Select Yes.

Also... you could instead of replace your new database...
rename it... Pictures.OLD for example. So if the replacement
do not re - associate files... you can remove the replacement
and rename the OLD version in what it was and the Gallery
must be as it was before the change.

Depending on the version of your photo gallery might be the database
    Pictures.PD5, Pictures.pd6, Pictures.pd7...

The path to the version of Win XP is:

    C:\Documents and Settings\ > user name<\Local>
    Application Data\Microsoft\Windows Live Photo Gallery\
    Pictures.PD4, Pictures.pd5 or Pictures.pd6

    Windows Vista:

    C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\
    Windows Photo Gallery\Pictures.pd4 or pd5 pd6

    Windows 7:

    Windows\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\
    Windows Live Photo Gallery\Pictures.pd6

(Sorry, but I'm not sure of the path in Windows 8 but if you)
do a search for PD6 PD7, you should be able to find it.

The former article is a user experience
with the shifting of the database... maybe it would offer a few ideas:

  • MacBook pro stolen, need to download photoshop on the new computer

Are there no such thing as a support download page more? My laptop was stolen, and I am trying to replace my software on the new computer, an another macbook pro. I already own photoshop and dreamweaver, just need to re-download the .dmg. Having my serial numbers and all that, but it seems that now I have to join the cloud just to never use it again. • Need help please, bios sees the new hard drive but still cant boot from the cd-rom

HI there, Im having some problems here. First of all, I have a Dell Dimension XPS Gen 2 with BIOS A06. I replaced the original hard drive to 120 GB because I received a stop error code with a new 320 GB (000000 x 24 or somethinglike that) but after research I was convinced it was the reader. I installed the new drive and the BIOS sees it under drive as primary drive SATA configuration... It's good, I guess, but now when I go to the sequence of hard drive I get (1. Unknown device (not installed) 2. System BIOS 3 boot devices. (Not installed) USB device) why the drive is not displayed here?

OK, so now when I try to boot from a CD-rom Home XP I get "strike F1 to retry boot, F2 for Setup utility. I can't seem to get around this problem any time now. I can get it to boot from a floppy disk, but not the CD, why is this? The two CD-ROMs are appearing in the BIOS as second master and slaves. IM really stumped on this one, please help!
