  PS - Apple needs better/more emoticons, IMO.

  If the said hardware diagnostic test the batteries need maintenance, I suggest that you call your Apple store to make an appointment to have them check the battery. When you bring it ask them about whirring sounds.

  I'm not very good with computers and need help.  My 4 LR and LR 5 upgrade are on the disc, but do not use my new MacBook Pro drive.  How can I load LR on my new computer?  Also, how to make photos of LR on my old computer to the new computer?

  I desperately need help! I've installed and upgraded to VMware Fusion 2.02, then created a Virtual Machine (Windows XP Professional) and inserted my XP Pro. Editing student (64-bit) in my disc drive.

  The virtual machine starts, and moments later he said: "trying to load an x 64 operating system, however this CPU is not compatible with this mode. Please install a x 86 32-bit operating system"

  Now, I tried to do some research to solve the problem, and VMware says that any version of 2.0 + would make 64-bit Windows OS works. Apparently, this isn't the case! VMware Tools is installed, either, but you do not have to install the guest operating system to install the tools? I'm certainly in computing, but not knowledgeable like any of you. What can I do to fix this? I'm really bummed that this cool software I bought does not work for me. =(

  I have a new MacBook Pro 15 i7 "with 8 GB of RAM. Illustrator seems to think that the option button is still held down. Forms always come from the Center and dragging objects with the pointer always their copy. This problem occurs with AI CS4 and CS5 trial HAVE. I don't have this problem in Photoshop or other applications of CS that I tried (ID, Flash). I tried to throw the com.adobe.illustrator.plist and the Adobe Illustrator CS4 Settings folder.

  The keyboard Viewer (Preferences system-> language & text-> Input Sources-> keyboard & Viewer characters-> input menu-> show viewer from keyboard) does not show that the option key is held down.

  I use an external USB (aluminum Apple keyboard) extended keyboard. It also happens with the built-in the laptop keyboard.

  Is that what someone else with this model having this problem?

  I see that your question can be model specific or related material as a problem with the option key is also present in other places. You could try uninstalling/reinstalling Illustrator, removing the custom of bad cache files, as well as the files preferably before you start, if you have a brand new Virgin facility. See if that helps. If not, you could try this first, create or logging in as another user, and see if the same thing is happening.

  Hi I created a form with drop down menus and multi line text boxes. I first created a text box and then copied and pasted to save time. The only problem I have now is when I type in the text box or select an option from a drop of water in the menu drop down, it changes all the text boxes and drop-down menus. See photo. I really want to create this form again. I realease if I rename each being sort however I would really like to have the same name. Please help if you can.

  Ive been using dreamwearver on and since a few years now and get about by, ive come to buy a model of website and well that Ive managed to adjust most of the things.

  the model had a drop down menu using CSS currently on the option 'about' a submenu down, ive been working on how to add this menu and change the words

  But what I can't do, is have this same drop-down list on a different part or the menu system for example I would like another menu drop-down on the part "our menu".

  Everytime I open Explorer windows from the desktop or the start menu, it opens. But the address bar at the top keeps popping up in. It won't let me open anything.

  I imagine the inconvenience that you have experienced, but don't worry, we are here to help solve the problem and guide you in the right direction.

  To help you to propose measures to solve the problem, I would appreciate if you could answer the following questions:

  1. Since when are you facing the issue?

  2. you have any security program installed on the computer?

  3 are you aware of any changes made to the computer before the show?

  You can run a full scan using the Microsoft Safety Scanner and check for infections.

  Note: there is a risk of data loss if all the files are infected and which can be removed in the cleaning process.

  You can also run a scan of the file system Checker and check if it helps. If the problem persists, you can start the computer in safe mode and perform a clean boot. Clean boot helps eliminate any conflict of third party software.

  Note: when you are finished troubleshooting, follow step 3, mentioned in the article to start the computer to a normal startup.

• I need help for my Newport 2931 - C optical talk to LabView TRMS

  I installed the latest drivers from Newport and they simply don't connect to the instrument.  Included basic non-Labview software works and communicates very well, but the example Labview VIs cannot find the instrument.  I guess it must be an address problem, but the screw is not a parameter to select the instrument - I think that this is supposed to be automatic because as far as I can tell, because there is no variable for me to choose. I am running Labview 2010 SP1 and Windows 7 64-bit.

  Has anyone concerned with that?

  I think I solved the problem.  I use the 32-bit version of LabView but I had installed (obtained from Newport) 64-bit drivers.  Uninstalling and then reinstalling the 32 bit on 64 bit machine driver option, I have solved the problem.

• Need help with this problem without downgrading from Vista to XP pro.

  OK so I have a problem, but it is in a common category, it is a rare problem as given that everywhere I look I can't seem to find someone who has the same problem.

  Question #1: Heres Alright so my question downgrade from vista 64 bit of the month last to XP pro SP2... Well, I'm going through the process of installation very well, wipe the hard drive, make new partion (or how ever spell you it) etc. It starts the formatting, and it installs everything seems to be fine. Now when it comes to the reboot screen it counts down it restarts correctly now, this is where the problem occurs. During the restart of the process rather than continue through the installation process which should be, where it says "Press any key to boot from the CD" soon after that instead of going into the installation process it says "disc read error" or something of the sort just underneath. Help, please!

  Question #2 also now that I re installed vista I did all good also, erased the hard disk (even I tried to install XP on) just to make sure they had no data on this. Well now, during startup it asks if I want "a previous version of windows" or "Windows XP" as if I double started somehow. Vista loads still very well when I choose it however. If I managed to do an install own success of XP it should fix right?

  Thanks for posting. Follow these steps on your XP disk.

  1. place your Windows XP installation CD and start to her...
  2. Press any button to start the Windows installation (don't worry... we do not actually use the installer at this point)
  3. wait a few moments for the installation program starts, when you see repair an installation of Windows XP using the Recovery Console, and then press the R key
  4. wait until you see this screen, enter the number of your master installation. (Typically 1 to C:\Windows)
  5. press ENTER.
  6. If you are prompted to do so, enter your administrator password. If you don't have one, leave the field blank and press to enter.
  7. from the command prompt, type: chkdsk/r (note the space between chkdsk and / r)
  Allow it to complete undisturbed.
  8. remove the disc, then restart.

  After completing this, then format it and try to reinstall XP again. As for your other question if completely format you your drive using XP you should not see the previous version of XP. The only reason you would see that it's the Vista BCD is located on a second hard drive in your computer. If this is the case and you want to do an install own format two readers please.

• Need help replacing primary HDD on Dimension 8400 running Windows XP Pro

  Hello! My Dimension 8400 a computer start when we experienced a power failure and I now get an error UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME. I bought a new hard drive and intend to make the new boot drive so I can then copy the files from the old drive. I can't access the Dell PC Restore application with the new installed hard drive (the original disk is currently removed). Given that I have not received any software operating system with my computer (I tells me because I am running Windows XP) I am at a loss on how to be able to boot from the new drive so I can copy my files and continue to run in.   I have data him consists of a single column of values y and several columns of x values.  I want to do is re-create an excel spreadsheet calculation in Labview.  The excel sheet by using the LINEST, however the intersection point is calculated normally (const = true).  I have read through the forum and found that I can use the vi made linear general for my calculations, but this vi obliges the zero intercept.  It there a way in labview for editing like this is done in excel?
