Who is the SATA 6 Gb/s port?

Here is a picture of my mobo:

Someone could report that one / s is / are the port of 6 GB/s/s?

Taking a guess that it is a question about the 7052 M91p mentioned in a previous post but not mentioned therein, (naughty naughty ), you can find out who it is by downloading and checking out in the Manual of Maintenance of hardware for your system.

I've also attached a copy of the relevant page, see attachments below, and it seems to me that it is the two black SATA connectors.

  • Can't get into Bios after you enable the sata port

    Hello community,

I have an Optiplex 755 and added a second hard drive.

In bios the sata 2 and 3 ports have been disabled, I enabled both because I know not didn t on the port of witch the new drive has been connected.

After a reboot the system stuck on ' Drive 3 not found: Serial ATA, sata-3.

When I disconnect the new drive, I get the above message for 2 and 3 of the road car!

I can only power the system off, the keyboard is not working at the moment. After a reboot, I can select F2 or F12, but the system will be blocked with the same error.

I tried a third device to the port missing but then there is no error message, but there is only a black screen with a blinking cursor. No chance to get into the bios setup.

The version of the bios is A08.

    Can someone help me please.

    Hi Andreas,

Thank you for compensation for me!

What may help is to reset the BIOS. To do this, you must follow the steps detailed here: ftp.dell.com/.../optiplex-755_user%27s%20guide_en-us.pdf (search for clearing the CMOS settings).

Before the passage of the system back on, make sure that the system is in its state of origin (the original hard drive and optical drive). This can allow you to start the operating system successfully and access the configuration of the system as well.

Let me know how you go!

    Thanks, CHemming

    CHemming,

I've not seen UEIF support in the existing BIOS.

If your demand on a 3T led, re - consider a maximum of 2 T.

If you ask to have 3 hard disks, then you can do it without harassing the present cable of CD.

The cage of your system hard disk will support 3 hard disks. Manual upgrade service

All you need are the SATA data and power cables. Your Board has 4 SATA data ports.

When you report back after inspecting your system for SATA power cables, I will move the cables and adapters, if necessary.

Can someone explain the significance of the various characters in the nummer adapter?
    For example, the difference between a (-1ACA) and a (-3ACA), a.s.o..

For 200V cord, country differences are not a problem, I can get the power supply one another.

But I need the adapter and its taken low voltage to be compatible with the M750-109.
So, how do I identify what Toshiba cards are compatible?

    Thank you very much.

You must use a power adapter that supports 15V too!
    This is very important!

The value of intensity can be a little different but too low because in this case the laptop would not get enough power!

The 15V AC adapter should be the same

Satellite U400-183 seems to belong to the series of PCU44E. Right?
The European driver Toshiba page provides the drivers for this model.
You can find on the page of the driver for Win XP Intel Storage Manager and this package contains the SATA drivers.

But look, man here in the forum, you can find many comments about the installation of the SATA driver why you n t use the search option?

The best way to install the SATA drivers is the use of nLite.

But he hangs on the disks TSF BSD page or does not load. Please help to find the correct drivers, I'm too frustrated right now.

I can't let anyone use this information directly or indirectly from an act of Hararm (described here), so please... There is a very good news for everyone who is still working on it and try to make it work. "I managed to install Windows XP Professional 32-bit/64-bit on the system including the drivers Intel AHCI/RAID 'modded' ' in the installation CD, I downloaded from win-raid.com/t11f23-Modded-Intel-AHCI-and-RAID-Drivers.html they work very well for Intel 8 and the previous series. But you must include the version of the specific drivers (32 bit / 64 bit) in TXT Mode using nLite (tutorial). And remember NOT to hit F6 in the beginning of the installation or the drivers will not load. And even if Windows XP was not only supports the boot from VHDs, I managed to install it on a virtual hard drive and it starts in native mode on the system, using this tutorial. And I even found the official driver for Intel 4th gen HD Graphics on Windows XP, but it did not work for me. I can give you his name and ties if you got so far and please tell me if they worked for you. And if anybyddy needs help in the kind of question, I'll be happy to help you.

  • installation of the SATA for XP 8560p

I have a 8560 with Windows 7 installed. I want to replace the drive (same type of SATA drive) with one another and install XP Pro.

I read the posts earlier say collect information of the Windows 7 install and I should be able to change the Bios IDE mode, install XP without using the F6 driver load and install the drivers after installing XP. I don't have a USB floppy drive so I thought I might be able to use a USB but the F6 prompt is looking for a drive A: and he doesn't so I went with the installation of the SATA drivers after installing XP.

In WIndows 7 Device manager it says the ide ata/atapi controller's (R) Mobile Express Chipset Sata ahci controller.

With BIOS change IDE, I was able to install XP Pro SP2.

The drive is detected as F: drive for some reason any.

I installed SP3 service pack. I also installed various HP drivers for networking, display etc.

When I go into the Device Manager it shows ide ata/atapi-controller.

6 Intel series/C200 Series Chipset Family 2 Serial ATA Storage Controller - 1 09 port

6 Intel series/C200 Series Chipset Family 4 Serial ATA Storage Controller - 1 01 port

It only shows the R) Mobile Express Chipset Sata ahci controller.

If I reboot and change the SATA BIOS I get a blue screen on startup of XP to load. Can only run as IDE.

Don't know where to go from here.

    Someone help?

  • Aurora R4: newly installed SSD running in G2 / SATA300 - how can I 'persuade' the SATA controller to run at G3 /SATA600?

Good evening.  I was a little indecisive on the place where this post, but I think it's the right place.

I just replaced the main drive in my Alienware Aurora R4 with a SanDisk Extreme Pro SSD... works perfectly (and quickly).  I realized a clean Windows 10 Pro (x 64), generation to level to the latest version.  I'm not using RAID.

The SDS is properly installed and connected in the location SATA01.

This Aurora R4 has the "Dell", well actually "Intel" Patsburg 6 Port SATA AHCI Controller (revised A7), capable of handling G3 / SATA600.  However, two DVD players work to G1 / SATA150 and all four disks are running at G2 / SATA300.

I have the latest driver for the Intel Rapid Storage Technology technology, confirming a transfer rate SATA 3 Gb/s for my SSD (and the other three HARD drives).

How can I convince the computer I want to optimize my SanDisk Extreme Pro SSD performance, with the rate of transfer running at G3 / SATA600?

I searched on through the value of the library of web pages, but not found a solution.  I was hoping that it would be a BIOS problem (installed last), is a question of the SATA controller firmware, but that doesn't seem to be the case.  Technology Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver allows no fiddling, so I drew a blank there.

Knowledge advice would be warmly received, especially if you have a R4 Aurora that runs a G3 SSD / SATA600!

    Hi Domo_P1000,

You can search the forums to Alienware for help with this. I found this relevant thread.

  • Need drivers for the SATA hard/controller on the dv7-6c95dx disc.

Need drivers for the SATA hard/controller on the dv7-6c95dx disc.

We load Windows 7 Enterprise on these newly purchased laptops, but do it have not the required appropriate drivers detect the hard drive on them. Impossible to find on the HP website.

You can refer to a completely different question here, Marty. I was installing to a flash drive and it turns out that my install media has been connected to ports USB 3.0 on the left rather than right 2.0 ports. Moving to the ancient ports of 2.0 has solved my problem. Good luck.

  • Remove the ' system VLAN "Nexus 1000V port-profile

We have a Dell M1000e blade chassis with a number of Server Blade M605 ESXi 5.0 using the Nexus 1000V for networking.  We use 10 G Ethernet fabric B and C, for a total of 4 10 cards per server.  We do not use the NIC 1 G on A fabric.  We currently use a NIC of B and C fabrics for the traffic of the virtual machine and the other card NETWORK in each fabric for traffic management/vMotion/iSCSI VM.  We currently use iSCSI EqualLogic PS6010 arrays and have two configuration of port-groups with iSCSI connections (a physical NIC vmnic3 and a vmnic5 of NIC physical).

We have added a unified EMC VNX 5300 table at our facility and we have configured three VLANs extra on our network - two for iSCSI and other for NFS configuration.  We've added added vEthernet port-profiles for the VLAN of new three, but when we added the new vmk # ports on some of the ESXi servers, they couldn't ping anything.   We got a deal of TAC with Cisco and it was determined that only a single port group with iSCSI connections can be bound to a physical uplink both.

We decided that we would temporarily add the VLAN again to the list of VLANS allowed on the ports of trunk of physical switch currently only used for the traffic of the VM. We need to delete the new VLAN port ethernet-profile current but facing a problem.

The Nexus 1000V current profile port that must be changed is:

The DenverMgmtSanUplinks type ethernet port profile

    VMware-port group

We must remove the list ' system vlan "vlan 2313-2315 in order to remove them from the list" trunk switchport allowed vlan.

However, when we try to do, we get an error about the port-profile is currently in use:

Enter configuration commands, one per line.  End with CNTL/Z.

vsm21a (config) #-port ethernet type DenverMgmtSanUplinks profile

By example, if we look at the port-channel 2 more in detail, we see orphans 3 VEM-related sound and it has no ports associated with it:

    102 interface resets

We can probably remove the port-channel 2, but assumed that the error message on the port-profile in use is cascading on the other channel ports.  We can delete the other port-channel 4,6,8,10 orphans and 12 as they are associated with the orphan VEM, but we expect wil then also get errors on the channels of port 13,15,17,19,21 and 23 who are associated with the MEC assets.

We are looking to see if there is an easy way to fix this on the MSM, or if we need to break one of the rising physical on each server, connect to a vSS or vDS and migrate all off us so the Nexus 1000V vmkernel ports can clean number VLAN.

You will not be able to remove the VLAN from the system until nothing by using this port-profile. We are very protective of any vlan that is designated on the system command line vlan.

You must clean the canals of old port and the old MEC. You can safely do 'no port-channel int' and "no vem" on devices which are no longer used.

What you can do is to create a new port to link rising profile with the settings you want. Then invert the interfaces in the new port-profile. It is generally easier to create a new one then to attempt to clean and the old port-profile with control panel vlan.

I would like to make the following steps.

Create a new port-profile with the settings you want to

Put the host in if possible maintenance mode

Pick a network of former N1Kv eth port-profile card

Add the network adapter in the new N1Kv eth port-profile

Pull on the second NIC on the old port-profile of eth

Add the second network card in the new port-profile

You will get some duplicated packages, error messages, but it should work.

The other option is to remove the N1Kv host and add it by using the new profile port eth.

Another option is to leave it. Unless it's really bother you no VMs will be able to use these ports-profile unless you create a port veth profile on this VLAN.

  • T7610 SAS (LSI 2308) precision controller - set the SATA drives?

    Hello

The controller is SAS RAID LSI 2308 integrated in the T7610 of precision allows to attach SATA hard drives in a non-raid configuration?  I just realized this system has only TWO internal SATA connectors, but I need THREE internal SATA drives.

What I was asking is if the SAS ports will allow the connection of SATA drives that are not used in RAID mode?  This way I can add my 3rd SATA HDD to a SAS ports.

    Thank you
    M

We are experiencing the same problem/issue with the T7610 of accuracy by using the controller LSI-2308.  The end result that we would like is to have 2 drives separated - do not use the raid controller.  However, the CD Rom takes up one of the sata drive connections.

Anyone been able to disable the raid and then controller, seeing the disks during the installation of windows needs to see?

Currently, I have 2 blank drives (3 TB (ea.) and windows setup does not see the discs - but the raid controller load very well through the configuration.

What should I do to get readers in windows?  There the meta that needs to be removed?

    Hello

I have a satellite pro p200 - 17 c I've had good years, allways worked without any problem.

Last week when I booted the laptop, windows won't load and I find myself safe mode selection screen. No options whatsoever me to windows loading, I tried F8 and still nothing.

I tried the restore cd that reimagee the drive but I get the same thing, I tried a new hard drive, once again the same.

But if I try to load windows from an OEM to install that software does not because it is a sata drive and there is no floppy drive. I have an external floppy drive I use, but it is not known now.

    Any ideas or suggestions?

    Hello

Go to BIOS and set it to default settings.

In this case the SATA mode must be on AHCI. In this case the SATA drivers are required to install the Windows operating system. But as much as I know that Windows 7 already contains the SATA drivers if usually you don t had to add SATA drivers while OS installation the installation program.

However, here is a nice HowTo document that helps you add SATA drivers for Win XP installation disc.
