Need help to use while LOOP to run immediately

Hello

I use the Oracle 11 g R2 database.

I need to use 'while' below statement so that I'm going to immediate execution with the following ranges in a LOOP.

USING 100, 200
USING 201, 300
WITH THE HELP OF 301, 400
USING 401, 500
declare
v_maxseq_id number:=100;
v_minseq_id number:= 500;

begin
--WHILE LOOP

EXECUTE IMMEDIATE 'insert /*+APPEND*/all into stage_parsed_while
select * from STAGE_PARSED_h2 WHERE src_file = ''a'' AND load_date = ''03-apr-2013''
and seq_id between :1 and :2'
USING v_minseq_id , v_maxseq_id ;

end;
Kindly help... Thank you

Your syntax for the While loop:

set serveroutput on;
declare
  i pls_integer := 101;
begin
  while i < 500 loop
    dbms_output.put_line('Min :: ' ||i || '; Max :: ' || to_char(i + 99));
    i := i + 100;
  end loop;
end;

anonymous block completed
Min :: 101; Max :: 200
Min :: 201; Max :: 300
Min :: 301; Max :: 400
Min :: 401; Max :: 500

And Yes, I'm agree with suggestion of knapen to accomplish the task with a single static SQL, rather than go for dynamic SQL (which is the first wrong approach) and then using loops to slow further (which would be another mistake).

  • Time for a while loop to run once

    Hello guys,.

    I want to measure the time for a while loop to run once. There is a piece of code raised. So I just created a simple VI to try, please let me know which is the right way to do it?

    And I wondered, when I run the VI without highlighting the execution, he wouldn't give me a number, maybe it's because the code is simple and really fast? I have to highlight all the time?

    Thank you

    Not quite right.  Both get primitive value time will run at the same time.  use an image sequence to force the order of execution, as shown.  I also brought in the relitve of accuracy seconds vi of VI. LIB\utilities because it depends on the clock of the system rather than the mSec timer accuracy.

  • Need help in using the ActiveX to retrieve a VARIANT

    Need help in using the ActiveX to retrieve a VARIANT.

    Variant is shown as var {VT_Ul1, 1} in debugging

    By using the following

    HR = CA_VariantGetShort (& var, &value);)

    I get 0 for my answer instead of 1.

    Answered my own question.

    VT_Ul1 is an unsigned char and not a short.

  • How to do while loop that runs and re - index reset continually

    Hello

    I'm trying to send and read data through the serial port. I'll send separate strings that are stored in a table and the serial port read a value that is returned from my instrument for each string that is sent to it. The table is indexed by the 'i' in the while loop. My problem is, the while loop runs until it reaches the maximum array index + 1, then stop. I would like to have the index restart to zero once it reaches the maximum of 'i' - value, then it returns the values of my table again. It is essentially a program to monitor for an instrument, and I need to continually update the variables in the monitor. I'm new to Labview but is really cool! If someone would be kind enough to help, I would really appreciate it.

    Thank you

    Mike

    What about using another loop

    Nested loops...

    Please do not do this.

    A Quotient function and the rest is all you need. Entry is equal to the size of the array.

  • Data dependence isn't the only thing to stop while loops to run simultaneously?

    I write code to turn two stepper motors with various functions. This is my first program, so I don't know it's terrible, but I'm very interested in getting this work. I checked for the data depenecy and followed some suggestions to use local variables to solve the problem. It did not work, so now I'm trying to understand this.

    I know that all features were able to simultaneously run, but after a few changes (including put everything in a while loop to keep the program running until someone clicks the exit button), no function can currently work simultaneously.

    I'll post my code in case someone has the time to watch it (I'd really appreciate it if someone did), but I am also looking for any other problem that might be the source of the problem.

    Really, any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

  • Using 'while' loop or something like that

    Gurus,

    To do a selection online to compare a literal number. I thought I could use a "while loop" for this but get errors. Any other suggestions out there?

    while (select count(1) from mtl_cycle_count_entries where cycle_count_header_id = crec_purge_cc_by_hdr.cycle_count_header_id) > 0
      loop
         ...
    end loop;
    Thank you.

    Points for correct or helpful answers.

    PL/SQL is two other languages. PL and SQL - integrated at the level of the source code. It is not T - SQL where the SQL language have been extended with additional procedures and conditional structures and treatment orders.

    If you can not run a SQL and compare that with a PL variable by using a condition WHILE . The next type of conditional processing is necessary.

    loop
       select
          count(1) into someVar
       from mtl_cycle_count_entries where cycle_count_header_id = crec_purge_cc_by_hdr.cycle_count_header_id;

        exit when someVar <= 0;

       .. code ..

    end loop;

    Select ugly even if - as the part must be modular in function.

    So put this selection in a function, will allow you to do what follows - as you expected:

    while someFunction > 0 loop
      .. code ..
    end loop;

    Points for correct or helpful answers.

    Oh please... do you honestly think that I spend my free time here, for points? The points are useless and meaningless. It can't buy you a beer. He does not buy respect you. It would be silly to put on a RESUME.

    It is therefore a bit insulting to have points restless as a carrot to meet a problem here. Some of us don't never ask for to the points system. Some of us do not think it helps anyway to the OTN forums - except to raise the noise level from those who think that forum points makes gurus and experts...

    Sorry for this rant - but the points thing is IMO the worst feature that has been added to the RTO since I've been around.

  • Need help of LabView on loops

    I'm doing a LabVIEW MyRIO project on how to display the values. Basically, I give myself a LCD screen and a keyboard. I'm supposed to show three sequences in the order. First, it must ask the user to enter a number on the keyboard to choose his field of interest. Then depending on the number, the user is prompted again to choose another number to specify the particular value he or she wants to watch. Finally, the value is displayed and the user can choose to return to the previous sequence interface by pressing a key. Each of the three sequences are able to "hold" until the user presses a button.

    I am able to attend the second interface using all loop inside a structure of the case, but I don't know how to start pressing a button to return to previous sequences. I need help on this particular part.

    Thanks in advance!

    The code that looks way too complicated for the problem you described.  Where is the state machine that we suggested to you?  Why so many useless people sequence structures?

  • To use or not to use: while loop?

    Being relatively new to LabVIEW and excited by the event programming Structure makes me think that a While loop should almost never be used.

    A While loop uses "polling" to see if a condition is fulfilled or not before you stop the execution, which eats memory. (No pun intended) while event Structures

    don't constantly gobble up CPU memory and waiting for something to happen, and then runs.

    Can someone give me a simple and good example of when it is appropriate to use a While loop? Do not hesitate to talk about certain situations more complicated, requiring a While loop

    which cannot really be addressed with the programming of the Structure of the event.

    While loops and structures of the event go hand in hand. You almost always want to place the structure of the event within a while loop. If you do not you will serve a single event. The while loop will allow you to repair all the events. It is important to note that when there is no event loop will not be doing anything. He will be inactive and essentially no time consume CPU. The structure of the event will have to wait for the next event.

  • NEED HELP URGENT! 5.2 Lightroom runs slow on my new PC

    Hi all!

    Thank you for the time you spend reading this! I am very grateful!

    A few months ago, I decided to connect my laptop to a Full HD monitor so that I can hopefully get a better resolution when editing photos. I bought the monitor but BAM! It was all lagy and I realized that my laptop is not good enough to run things smoothly (although it may do so at its native resolution perfectly 720 p) so, as a student, I started to work and to invest the money to buy a computer case and use it with the monitor that I had already bought for no reason!

    So, I built my new PC recently and I put the (relatively) decent material about it but I still have the same problem

    Here are the specs of my PC:

    Windows 7 SP1 64 bit

    RAM: 8 GB DDR3 1600

    Processor: AMD FX-8320 8-core 3.5 Ghz

    MB: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. M5A97 R2.0 (Socket 942)

    Graphics card: 1024MB ATI AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series (GB)

    Hard drive: 500 GB Western Digital SATA 3

    Here's the video of my delay in the computer:

    http://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=xtaKV1wH9pY

    (the video is from 4.4 lightroom but 5.2 is the same)

    I know that some of you will say that's not SSD, so it's slow, but I don't think that my hard drive is causing a problem. Laptop from my friend who has specifications lower than mine (a 2.5 HDD), lower map low graphics + CPU (but Intel i7) performs much better and is much smoother (is almost perfect) in the culture and the change of exposure.

    What do you think is the problem? It's shit AMD processor that is the cause, or is - this lightroom which is not compatible with my processor? What parts should I change as appropriate, or do I return everything and work with lower resolution on my laptop

    I really need help with this, because if I can't solve this problem, I have to return the PC and get refund because there will be no use for me.

    Very well! So, what's up on my new processor and motherboard! I will also avoid AMD for the rest of my life (as long as I use Lightroom!)

  • Need help to use a diskpart command line to create a partition.

    Original title: diskpart question - please help

    I really need help with the diskpart commands, so I hope someone can help out me. I recently sold a pc on ebay which would include a 320 GB HARD drive. I didn't want to take any chances on the data being restored from the disk I did a "clean up" the disk to be sure.

    Seeing how it would take time, I started after work and went to bed. During the night the XP machine, it worked on that decided to do an update and restart. Long story short, I have more the diskpart command line to create the new partition and format the disk, and I can't (don't know how) get machine XP or 7 to recognize the drive.

    I do not think that it will hire at all, but the reader is sitting in a docking station and mounted in the machine. If someone could help me I would be very happy. If you can give me a list of commands that I need to get this drive back to normal and ready to ship (so the buyer can easily load their own OS) I would be eternally gratefull.

    Is there another way besides as diskpart to get the disk to format so I can send it ready for the new owner to install its own operating system?

    Hello

    Step 1: Format your hard drive using the Installation disc.

    If you have the installation disc, you can format the hard drive.

    To do this, follow the steps below:

    (a) place the installation disk in the system tray.

    (b) restart the system using the installation disc. (This is commonly known as booting from the installation disc).

    (c) during the installation process, you can re-partition and reformat your hard drive

    Note: the process will erase your files and programs, so remember to make backups of your data files and the program before you start.

    Check out the link:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/installing-and-reinstalling-Windows-7

    You can try following the steps from the link below

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/313348

    For Windows vista -http://Windows.Microsoft.com/fr-fr/Windows-Vista/Create-and-format-a-hard-disk-partition

    For Windows 7 - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Create-and-format-a-hard-disk-partition

    I hope this helps.

  • Need help cleaning a recursive loop, please.

    Hello again,

    I'm on another quest to write a function completely fool proof to a very specific task in Illustrator. The task is to create a new work plan in the target document (determined by a guest of small script user interface) which is a certain distance from the existing chart with the highest index Board (so I'm still putting the new plan of work at the end). After I created the work plan, I want to activate the source document and duplicate all the layers (a few layers are empty but will be used later) and work in the doc of the target and place them on the newly created artboard.

    With the help and advice of Silly-V , I wrote a recursive loop to handle the situation of nested layer. This brings me to the first part of my question. Please take a look at recursion and let me know if there is anything I can do to clean it up and simplify as much as possible. (I know it looks really messy. I've learned how do on the fly and I changed a lot of variables and loops after the fact, just trying to make it work). I hope also that somehow slightly more efficient to work this will improve stability as well. As it is, I can only run this script 3 or 4 times (if I'm lucky), before I get persistent errors of MRAP on trivial things such as: layers.getByName("Information").visible = false; At this point, the only recourse is to stop illustrator and reopen files. So I'm usually good for a few runs more...

    Part 2 of my question is the following. Is there a way to reproduce the work from one document to the other, and place it on the new artboard rather than the artboard [0]? Currently, art is duplication of artboard [0] the doc from the source to the artboard [0] the doc of the target and then I manually manipulate the implementation by defining: this.left this.left = + (artboards.length * 2100). First, it is just steps adding too much to the script and slow things down I'm sure. The second problem that is after 4 work plans, I need down another line (to keep from spilling onto the pasteboard). That adds another layer of complexity and a lot more if statements to determine how far from move it and in what direction.

    Here's the script in its entirety. Please do not hesitate to rip it and ask me WTH I thought. According to carloscanto, script.elegant is definitely fake.

  • Need help choosing a new computer to run After Effects

    Hi all

    I waited to buy a desktop computer until I could set up something really good, but running After Effects on my laptop is not just cut it.  It slows down everything and when you try to use the feature plays only 6 frames per second. That being said, I need something that will give me better performance than my laptop but don't break the Bank.  (That way I can still move to a more desirable machine.)  I'm a noob when it comes to shopping for computers that go beyond the disk space and wifi, so I asked around, but honestly I'm more often conflicting opinions . I said the most important GPU, I said GPU is not serious at all.  It goes the same for the CPU.  I was also told that it's okay if I get something with integrated graphics on dedicated, etc.. This is where I hope you guys can help, since you actually understand the program I run.

    I would buy something already built, so I don't have to worry about what anyone screwing.  I've been thinking to get a desktop computer cheap off of ebay (as long as it will work better than my laptop) and then adding on it, but I don't know if it's the wiser decision.  All desktop computers can still be improved or they hit a point where they are worthless?

    Here are the specifications of my laptop:

    Windows 10 home

    Intel core i3 cpu M380 @ 2.53 GHZ

    4 GB of ram (3.80 GB usable)

    64 bit

    1 TB HARD disk drive

    Intel HD (internal) graphics with a total of 1696 MB graphic memory and 64 MB dedicated video memory

    Is there something out there that would be more fluid than my laptop, but for cheap AE?  Here are a few I've been Watch: Dell Optiplex 960 (3 GHz Quad Core Q9650 / 4 GB RAM / 160GB HDD)

    IBM Thinkcentre M58 PC Windows 7 Pro Desktop Core 2 Duo 3.0 GHz/8 GB / 250 GB HD with intergrated graphics

    A generation custom (with integrated graphics), including: Card mother Z87 - G41 / 8 GB RAM FURY HYPER / Gear solid 400w PSU / LG DVD PLAYER / INTEL PROCESSOR (3.2GHZ) G3258 / 240GB Sandisk Ultra II SSD / MSI cases

    And this one: AMD 4.2 Ghz Quad Core 8 GB RAM 1 TB Hdd/integre graphic.

    Thank you in advance for your help!

    For AE the only things that really affect performance are the cores, clock speed and memory.

    We must look at least an i7 quad core systems with hyper threading (6 or 8 core is much better, but more expensive) and at least 32 GB of memory. You must also at least two SSD, one for the OS, one media and projects. The video card is completely irrelevant for AE, any card $ 30 is sufficient.
