This problem may occur if one or more of the following conditions are met:

  • Log file or database corruption exists in the folder % Systemroot%\System32\Catroot2.
  • Cryptographic services is set to disabled.
  • Other Windows files are corrupted or missing.
  • The timestamp signature or the certificate cannot be verified, or is incorrect.
  • The hidden attribute is set to the folder %windir%, or one of its subfolders.

To resolve this problem, use the following methods. After completing the steps in each method, check to see if the issue is resolved before you go to the next method. If the problem is resolved by any method, you do not have to use other methods.
 
Method 1: Rename the Edb.log file
 
Rename the Edb.log file, and then try to install the program again. To rename the Edb.log file, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, click run, type cmd in the Open box, and then OK.

    Note On a Windows Vista-based computer, click Start, type cmd in the box to search for text and right click on cmd.exe, and then click run as administrator.

  2. At the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:

Ren %systemroot%\system32\catroot2\Edb.log *.tst

Method 2: Set Cryptographic on auto Services

Define Cryptography on AutoServices and then try to install the program again. To set the cryptographic on AutoServices, follow these steps:

  1. Start the Administrative Tools utility in control Panel.
  2. Double-click Services.
  3. Click Cryptographic Services, and then click Properties.
  4. Click Automatic for Startup type, and then click Start.

Method 3: Reregister DLL files that are associated with Cryptographic Services
 
To register .dll files that are associated with Cryptographic Services, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, click run, type cmd in the Open box, and then OK.

    Note On a Windows Vista-based computer, click Start, type cmd in the Search box and right-click on cmd.exe, and then click run as administrator.

  2. At the command prompt, type the following commands and press ENTER after each command:

regsvr32 /u softpub.dll
regsvr32 /u wintrust.dll
regsvr32 /u initpki.dll

Method 4: Remove the hidden %windir%\System32 and its subfolders attribute

  1. Click Start, click run, type cmd in the Open box, and then OK.

Note On a Windows Vista-based computer, click Start, type cmd in the Search box and right-click on cmd.exe, and then click run as administrator.

  • At the command prompt, type the following commands, pressing ENTER after each line:
  • attrib s h % windir %
    attrib s h %windir%\system32
    attrib s h %windir%\system32\catroot2
    output

    Method 5: Define a signature unmanned silent success strategy

    1. Click Start, click run, type regedit, and then click OK.

      Note On a Windows Vista-based computer, click Start, type regedit in the Search box and click on regedit.exe, and then click run as administrator.

    2. Locate and then click the following key in the registry:

    The HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Non-Driver signing

    1. Right-click on the Policy binary value, and then click change.
    2. The value data will appear in the following format:
    0000 02

    Press DELETE to remove the current value (02 in this example), and then type 0 (the current value will now appear as 00).

    1. Click OK, and then quit the registry editor.

    Method 6: Clear the temporary file and restart the hotfix installation or the service pack installation
     
    To clear the temporary file and restart the hotfix installation or the service pack installation, follow these steps:

    1. Remove all tmp*.cat of the following folders:

      systemroot\system32\CatRoot\{127D0A1D-4EF2-11D1-8608-00C04FC295EE}

      systemroot\system32\CatRoot\{F750E6C3-38EE-11D1-85E5-00C04FC295EE}

    2. Delete all the kb*.cat files in the following folders:

    % systemroot%\System32\CatRoot\{F750E6C3-38EE-11D1-85E5-00C04FC295EE}
    % systemroot%\System32\CatRoot\{127D0A1D-4EF2-11D1-8608-00C04FC295EE}

    1. Remove all the oem *. * files in the % systemroot %\inf folder.
    2. At the command prompt, type the following commands. Press ENTER after each command.

    net stop cryptsvc
    Ren %systemroot%\System32\Catroot2 oldcatroot2
    net start cryptsvc
    output

    1. Restart the installation of the patch failed or the installation of the service pack.

    Method 7: Empty the software distribution folder

    1. Click Start, click run, type services.msc and click OK.

      Note On a Windows Vista-based computer, click Start, type services.msc in the Search box, click services.mscand then click run as administrator.

    2. In the Services (Local) pane, click automatic updates, and then click stop.
    3. Reduce the Services (local) window.
    4. Select all the contents of the Windows distribution folder, and then delete them.

      Note By default, the Windows distribution folder is located in the folder drive: \Windows\SoftwareDistribution. In this place, the drive is a placeholder for the drive where Windows is installed.

    5. Make sure that the Windows distribution folder is empty and enlarge the Services (local) window.
    6. In the Services (Local) pane, click automatic updates, and then click Start.
    7. Restart the computer, and then run Windows Update again.

      It is unlikely that it will work; because the material is different, there are differences in what is needed in the installations of Windows... At the very least, you will need to do a repair installation after the fact. The repair facility is not enough and you need to clean install Windows.

      Recently, Adobe Flash installed an icon in my system preferences and when I click the icon it has several tabs.  It allows updates automatically check.  It is said it will install the latest version of Flash without having to remove the previous version, but I've never said that a newer version is available, unless I have click "check now".  Although "Check updates automatically" is checked, I don't know where he tells me a newer version is available.  In addition, there was 5 "new versions" available since this icon has been installed in the system Prefeences, I only found on newer versions when I clicked on "check now".  If I read that with this new way to install the Mac final version of Flash requires not me to uninstall the previous version of Flash how we installed the latest version of Flash?  Is it in an email?

      Because it tells me that there is a newer version of Flash unless I click on "Check now" must still do the way I used to install the latest version of flash?  (The path in front of this icon was added to the system preferences)?

      I would appreciate help with update Flash to the latest version.  I used to uninstall the old version, restart the browser and download the latest version and install it.  He always worked find, but that was before there was an Adobe icon in my system preferences.

      I recently contracted a virus inside and as he removed, however it is not good so I want to re - install Windows XP Home edition. I backed up the computer, I have a Windows XP Home SP2 Pro edition disk and I have my product key.

      Here's your solution:
      1. go to bios with F2 when you see the toshiba start screen.
      2. Select the arrow to the left using the "Advanced".
      3 press down until you get to "SATA Controller Mode".
      4 change, using F7/F8, Chang [AHCI] setting [compatibility].
      5. make sure the CD/DVD drive is the first to start and F10 save and exit. computer restart when you are prompted to "press any key" press a button and hey presto as before windows will start the installation, but this time you won't get windows you said:

      Set up did not find Ant hard disks installed on your computer.

      Make sure any drive HARD are powered on and properly connected to your computer and any hard disk related hardware configuration is correct. This may involve running a manufacturer-supplied diagnostic or Setup program.

      implementation cannot continue press f3 to goto hell... uh I mean leaving the installation

      And you can continue on your installation of Windows XP Home edition.

      Hello, I am working on a Flash game where you navigate in different rooms. Each room is located in a frame on the main timeline. I get an error message #1009 when I navigate to certain parts, but each image almost the same code, so I don't know why some executives encounter this problem while others are very well. When the error message that I am always directed to the 'room' I clicked on, but all the buttons in this room disappear and you are then stuck there and having to restart the project. I looked through other forums where people had this error message similar but I could not find a solution that could help me, so I apologize for the display of such a common problem!       Frame 4 is labeled as 'elevator' and armature 12 is "medEntrance". I know that the problem is to jump from an image to the image, but I honestly have no idea what would be the error. I double checked all my code and it must be correct, and what makes it even more confusing, is that some rooms work perfectly while others have this problem and they all use the exact code, but with different names of MC! :/ Something I noticed is that the rooms which are most often linked to (for example that the lift can bind to three different "floors" or frames) are those who encounter this problem. But I chose this pair in particular because it contains the least amount of code I do not understand why have several frames, a link to a picture in particular would be a problem, but it's my first time using Flash and AS3 so I don't know any with its limits.

      I just finished properly the local folder, tesing server and remote server configuration (I think).

      My test configuration and the files listed below:

      No layout of the files/folders etc. have been changed, I have just moved from the FTP server in local folder I had created.

      Just to confirm that I have installed XAMPP and Apache runnining.

      When I open DW CS5 and choose the form of index.php file tab FILES of the main home page opens and I little bar appears at the top and says "this server directives proccesing design mode page cannot display. Switch to Live View'.

      If I click on Live View and load the home page. I can press ctrl and click one of the links. (See image below)

      It seems that you have screwed up to the XAMPP installation when you moved it.

      As you all barely in place, the simplest way of handling is to reinstall. I assume that you have all the data stored in MySQL. If you have and I don't want to lose it, you will first need to export it.

      1. Stop Apache and MySQL.
      2. Save httpd-conf and httpd - vhosts.conf on your desktop.
      3. Delete C:\xampp and everything inside it.
      4. Install a new version of XAMPP.
      5. Make sure that it works.
      6. Replace the httpd-conf and httpd - vhosts.conf with versions that you saved on your desktop.
      7. Restart Apache.
      8. Enjoy.

      My hard drive is failng in my computer I get the message that "the failure of hard drive" is imminent for several months now.  I did just recovery disks after I bought my computer and that you have ordered a new hard drive.

      I thought that the part of the setup of windows on a portion of the current hard disk that I need to replace.

      I want to just make sure that if I can restore the windows completely and that all programmes provided with the computer are on the recovery discs I want to do it myself - so I need to know I'm doing it correctly!

      This link in the post seems to apply to the situation.  If you have already completed the defined recovery disc then it should just be a matter of running the recovery disc after the new hard drive is installed.  The recovery disk set will be "restoring windows completely and all programs included with the computer".  Be aware that all other items that were installed or personal data will not be restored.  When replacing the hard drive, do not buy a disc exceeds the limit of 2 TB, such as published in the SPECS for TouchSmart 420-1000 t CTO.

      Which I did, but now what happens is when I click on 'Get an IP automatically', then click 'Ok', and then access my wireless network card and click on the tab 'Sharing' and then 'allow the other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection"and looking back at my virtual adapter IPv4 settings , they return what it looks like in the photo. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the drivers several times but with no luck, it always comes back to that.

      I read on the ' ICS using the ' Wireless Network adapt eCard should all be defined on "Obtain an IP address automatically" to really share. Also until I fiddled with the IPv4 settings, he said always 'Sharing' beside the SSID but now it is not everytime I have activate sharing. Could someone help me with this please? I'm still relatively new to this kind of things so I would appreciate any help I can get.

      EDIT: Do you have a little look around and read a few pages on ICS and they said something about Ethernet cables, which reminded me that I actually had my Ethernet cable when I changed these settings, which could be the cause?
