• HP Pavilion Slimline s5 - 1140d: need help with relocation to Windows 7 from Windows 10 Technical Preview

  Hello. I am currently using a Windows 10 Technical Preview in my office and want to install the official version of Windows 10. However, Microsoft has answered me, in order to install the FREE Windows Home 10 fresh new official retail version, I have to go back to the previous version which is Windows 7 then updated via windows update. I tried to check with HP Recovery Manager, but there is no option to return to windows 7. Only it has option to reset the tech 10 preview windows. So I went to the Microsoft website to download the ISO of Windows 7 files to install in flash player, it asks for the product key. And then I entered the key correctly which is stuck on my Windows product key sticker desktop. But he didn't and the message that this is a key of the OS preinstalled, contact your manufacturer. Now, I'm stuck with how to return to Windows 7! I need help ASAP! Thank you. I did backup and everything so much already.

  Yes, M$ makes it seem as if the OEM product key will work, but it does not work. There are choices and it depends on how you wish to just to proceed.

  As the model number is not included in the post, it is only a general Council, here.  You can make one of these to restore Windows 7 to useful step.

  (1) reinstall Windows from the recovery disks set - if you do not, order of HP for a low price ~ $ 25 - $30 US

  (2) check if the recovery Partition (usually D :) there is and run recovery from that)

  3) reinstall using Winows 7 retail disc and allows to activate the COA key

  (4) buy 10 Windows and install

• Need help with my video! Rhapsody can't find my Clip.

  I tried to reinstall the Rhapsody software and formatting my Clip and those which do not solve my problem.  I plug my video on usb and I find the clip in 'my computer '.  I opened Rhapsody with the Clip into the usb port, and the Clip does not appear in sources more.  The Clip used to work 100% good, but no more.  I cancelled the forceps to try to resolve the problem.  So the real problem is that I cancelled the clamp to fix the problem and now I can not find out how to get the Clip appears again in Rhapsody.  Under 'my account' Rhapsody says "no authorized device.  So I need help to get my Clip is displayed in 'my devices allowed' so that I can reactive it.  Any ideas?  I run Vista and also tried to run Rhapsody as an administrator.  Thank you!

  A few simple steps should get your device to communicate in MTP mode again.  It is the most common source of problems with Rhapsody.

  First of all, verify that Rhapsody is running correctly.  Open the 4 Rhapsody client and login.  Select a piece of music in the music guide and see if it reads normally.

  Connect the clamp and take a look at the sources of pand in the upper left corner.  How the Clip appears?

  If it lists as E: SANSA CLIP all in capital letters, with a drive letter, the device is in MSC mode and cannot accept Rhapsody subscription titles.  It can accept purchased securities, that they contain no DRM as MP3 files.  Unplug the unit and switch to MTP mode manually:

  Settings > USB Mode > MTP.

  If the device appears as a Sansa Clip 4 GB for example, with caps and smalls, without a drive letter, Windows recognizes the device as a media device.

  If Rhapsody sees the devivce as shown above, try to right click on the device and select allow.  Transfers should be possible.

  If it does not appear as a MTP device, leave the connected device (after manually select MTP mode) and go to the Device Manager.  [Windows key] + [pause button], then Hardware tab > Device Manager.

  Look for the yellow triangle.  The Clip appears in the portable device, or Bus USB controllers tree.  Select Uninstall (not turn off!), unplug, restart the computer and after it restarts, try to connect again from the PSG.

  I tried to re - install windows xp on my hp mini computer with the windows xp disc gave me when I bought my hp mini. However, when the computer prompted me to enter the activation code of microsoft xp I refused. This has been for me not realizing the authentication of microsoft code was on a sticker stuck on the bottom of the computer.   If so, perform the following steps:

  1. press and hold down the Windows and R together.

  2 type slui 4 in the immediate window and press OK.

  3. the Activation of Windows Wizard will open.

  4. follow the steps in the Activate Windows by phone dialog box, and then click Next.

  Note The number appears now and differs based on the location you select.

  When activation is completed and you receive the following message appears, click OK.

  You have activated your copy of Windows.

  I recently downloaded and installed ESXi on a new IBM X 3400.  I have a virtual machine with Windows Server 2003 R2, and I've migrated the role of DHCP server in another box.  When I disable the service on the other box and start the VM I can't deal with the DHCP requests. It's as if I do not have a DHCP server on my network.

  Any ideas?

  You can also try to connect to the original administrator account by pressing CTRL + ALT + DELETE (all three keys twice at the same time), you will get the classic login prompt. Type the administrator user name and password. You should be able to connect.

  To activate this visible account to the Welcome screen, once logged in click on Start-> Run Type &-> Regedit-> ok.

  Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-> SOFTWARE-> Microsoft-> Windows NT-> CurrentVersion-> Winlogon-> SpecialAccounts-> UserList

  Select the username administrator and set the value to 1-> of the close Registry Editor and restart your computer.

  This just happened to me because my computer has been built up and tested in the last month. I was in the middle of work on an assignment for the class online and just froze. I couldn't use the mouse or keys and was forced to hit the reset button on the front of my computer. I use Windows 7 Ultimate with all updates. I have the Intel Core i5 quad core processor and PCI Express card Asus Geforce GTX 550Ti 2.0 and 4 GB of memory hardware. It is the copy of the event viewer. I will list all the codes that concern as well. This is the entire code format: (this has happened before, so I need to know why it happened and how I fix so it does not happen.) • Need help with a warranty issue, but can't take the computer back to the shop

  I have the following problem:
  I'm a backpacker and bought a Toshiba A660/15j someone in Adelaide. I have the original receipt and the laptop is still under warranty.
  Now 2 issues have been raised. First of all, I sometimes get a message that my system runs too hot and that I should stop the computer immediately and return to the service. When I open the monitor health all values are good and the system does not display any overheating (nor does it feel too hot). The second thing is that about two weeks ago, the battery started to empty real quick. When I now fully recharge the battery and do not touch the computer for 2 days, it will be completely empty. It is surely not normal!

  The laptop was bought initially in Queensland, but I am now in Perth and have no way to go back and return to the store like it what I have to do according to the directives of service Toshiba.

  There may be a build-up of dust in the radiator. You can buy a can of compressed Air from electronic stores (DickSmith and Jaycar for example) to blow dust through the vents.

  What about the battery drain, update the BIOS to the latest version (take a look at mytoshiba.com.au-> Support-> downloads), then go into BIOS by pressing F2 during POST and disable the USB Sleep and fresh.
