Need help with the product key of window 8

So my phone got wet by the rain and, fortunately, only my internal hard drive has been damaged. I went to the mall to buy a new hard drive and had it fixed by a pc repairman. However, they told me that I have to reinstall my windows and says that they can install a pirated copy of windows 8 (I bought my laptop with a pre-installed windows 8 in there), which I have allowed because of my urgent need for the laptop and the lack of money to buy a new installer. At first, I thought that my problem has been resolved and I can reuse the laptop. However, after a few days of use, windows crashes always with an error code driver_power_state_failure and don't constantly back running after a few minutes. So, I thought that what I have to do is to find my product key 8 original windows and reinstall windows 8. Someone told me that I can still install it by using the product key in my motherboard

My question is how I'll be able to restore / reinstall windows 8 by using the original product key? And is it possible to recover the product key?

PS: when it has been damaged by the rain, I've had my laptop checked by some computer know-how and told me that only the hard drive has been damaged and all the other parts still work fine. Once it was repaired, I was able to usevit again for a few days until the crash/restart happened.

This error is not caused by the missing key, but because you have a pirated copy of the operating system, we can not help you.

  • Need help finding the product key.

    Here, can anyone help me find the product key of Norton antivirus software that came pre-installed with my hp Pavilion 15' inch laptop notebook pc. I need to update the software and I can't do it without the key.
    Impatient in waiting.

    If the product is installed (Norton _) - it would be better to contact them (Symantec / Norton) support - as it's their product and they will be able to tell you where to look.

    otherwise, you can try third-party products like Belarc Advisor - that should give you said information if it exists on the system.

  • Re: Satellite A500 - need help with the FN key and Toshiba programs

    Hello

    The fn key Eco and other buttons specialized such as the one that opens Windows Media Player have stopped responding on my PSAM3A-03P00E A500 running Windows Vista. I can always change the brightness of the screen with the FN key, but no menu appears at the top of the screen.

    Also Toshiba programs that are intended to be run at the start as PC Health Monitor are not auto start, even if they are enabled in the Configuration (msconfig) system.
    The Bluetooth Manager however initially runs upward.

    I have blue screen errors, but they are not a problem since I have updated the BIOS to 1.5 and uninstalled Zonealarms.

    Try reinstalling the additional package of Toshiba. AFAIK, this utility is responsible for these functions.

  • Need help with the formatting and reinstalling windows

    Hi, I have a Compaq Presario C700 p/n GR598EA #ABU I got to work about 3 years ago.

    Recently, it does not load windows, even in safe mode and I can't get back either.

    I used a disc to boot from linux to access and backup of all my important files and now I want to reformat the hard drive, resintall windows and start over (or try something else which will fix it)

    The laptop has been pre-installed with Windows Vista and HP stuff had already installed on it.  I don't have a Windows disc or discs of driver with the laptop.

    How can I format and reinstall windows and drivers, if I don't have records?

    Help, please.

    Thank you.

    Hello:

    You can order a Vista recovery disk set for your laptop if they are still available. See the instructions below:

  • Need help with the sound keys

    I'm learning as3 for the 1st time, trying to make a table of harmony. I had the 1st sound work great, but can't get a 2nd sound to play.

    Here is my code, and these are recorded in the form of buttons, not video clips:

    1.

    var my_sound:s1 = new s1();

    var my_channel:SoundChannel = new SoundChannel();

    2.

    Btn1.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, playSound);

    stop_btn.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, stopSound);

    3.

    function playSound(event:MouseEvent):void {}

    my_channel = my_sound.play ();

    }

    4.

    function stopSound(event:MouseEvent):void {}

    my_channel. Stop();

    }

    How can I get to the button instance 'btn2' to play 's2' sound instance?

    This code below gives errors, so I can't change the right-hand side:

    var my_sound:s2 = new s2();

    You would create a line like the one you have for btn1.

    var my_sound:Sound;

    var my_channel:SoundChannel = new SoundChannel();

    2.

    Btn1.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, playSound);

    btn2.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, playSound);

    stop_btn.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, stopSound);

    3.

    function playSound(event:MouseEvent):void {}

    if(Event.currentTarget == btn1) {}

    my_sound = new s1();

    } else if(event.currentTarget == btn2) {}

    my_sound = new s2();

    }

    my_channel = my_sound.play ();

    }

  • Sticker with the product key Windows under the laptop is unreadable

    Hello Toshiba Help Center

    Please help me solve this problem

    Three years ago, I bought a laptop Toshiba with Windows Vista preinstalled. I also received a DVD with her recovery. unreadable...

    Is it possible to get it back by, my laptop series No, or...
    Best regards, TOSHIBA
    IM bluebird.jeff

    Hello, Jeff

    At first, I must say that it is not toshiba Help Center, but user forum created by Toshiba, so if you wait for the response from Toshiba people here you are in the wrong place.
    In any case, in this forum, you can pick up some very useful information and a lot of people here can help you with your problems.

    Return to described the issue.
    Unfortunately you do not understand how it works with the product key and Windows Setup, so I'll try to help you with this.
    Each computer toshiba laptop comes with preinstalled operating system (recovery image) and the product key at the bottom of your laptop belongs to this version. With other words: when you buy the new laptop, you have to pay for hardware, operating system and a license for this preinstalled OS. Product key at the bottom is not a kind of universal product key and cannot be used for activation of another version of Windows.

    You can use the delivered Toshiba recovery disc that contains mage replicated several times and each time you will have activated the operating system. When you use the Microsoft disk for the installation of the OS you must have valid product key which belongs to this particular version.

    In your case product key is for Vista, and you cannot use it for Win7 activation. This product key is... unnecessary.

    If you have any other questions you are welcome.
