Nothing special. It is not difficult to do since you have prior experience.

  • HP Pavilion 763n automatically restart after installing additional memory

I just installed more memory for my Compaq HP Pavilion 763n.  My operating system is Windows XP and the memory card, I bought 1 GB DDR - 266 (PC2100) Non - ECC Unbuffered 184-pin 2.5V CL = 2.5 64 X 8 memory.  When I installed the new memory, I restarted my PC - and everything worked fine, but the PC automatically restarts every 5 to 10 minutes.

I installed the new memory card of 1 GB two ways - in the second location of memory (virgins) next to the original card of 512 MB, then I turned off the PC and installed the new card of 1 GB instead of the original card of 512 MB (I removed the card to origin), thinking that maybe the problem.

It still restarts automatically every 5 to 10 minutes.  I now use the PC with the original sound of the memory only card, so the problem is certainly related to the installation of the memory card.

Anyone has an idea why my PC is doing this and what to do?

Thank you very much for all your comments!

The Hynix used d ' award by OEMs and seems to be a good memory.  I'm not fallen on the Elpida brand.

  • slot Memory 4 quit working after installing additional memory sticks

I have a HP pavilion running XP media center a1440n 2005 with 1 GB of memory installed in the factory PC2-4300 (266 mhz) into the slot 1 & 3 (blue slots) total of 2 GB. I bought (2) sticks of memory PNY PC2-6400 and added 2 & 4 slots (black sites). Computer started and ran fine, checked CPU - Z and all memory displayed. I thought I could replace original with additional faster memory PC2-6400, since I realize that the unit will work on slower speed stick. To view before, I bought more memory, I got out of memory original slots 1 & 3 and replaced by the new memory. Computer would not boot. Has released the new memory and replaced with the original and the computer started. When I tried to install the new memory in slots 2 & 4, computer wouldn't boot. After changing the sticks and 2 & 4 memory slots checked OK but computer wouldn't boot with anything in the 4 Groove. For now, I use 3 & 1 GB in slots 1, 2, and the computer seems to work very well with all 3 assignment. I guess the slot 4 is shot, but why would the computer starts not with the new memory in ALS 1 & 3?

    Hello

Try to clear the CMOS memory.  You can also try to remove the CMOS battery.

Use a flashlight and visually inspect the slots for bent pins.

I've seen this problem before and clear the CMOS usually solves the problem, but not always.

Your best bet is to use a tool for major manufacturers such as Kingston, crucial or Corsair dimm to make sure that your have the correct DIMM and then followed by a call to the sales to make sure that you have chosen the correct DIMMS. I use sets matched across all DIMM slots to avoid compatibility problems.

BTW, HP specifications only list PC2 - 6400 DIMM approved.  This can cause weird problems.

You need to install more RAM before moving to Snow Leopard and need to do before moving to Lion or newer. Buy it from a source OWC or Crucial.

  • Need instruction how to install Windows XP on the Satellite A200-1AE

Hello someone can write a statement of installation of Windows XP Professional on this laptop?
    What I need before instalation?

I have a oryginal Windows XP. Drivers which I must have before? And what about the safe?

I guess that my SATA drive PC and installation of XP does not support.
Can I burn driver on the CD? Because I have no FDD.

    Thanks for help.

    You need instructions?
Search this forum for similar discussions on this topic.
    You will find many threads!

    But here's a little tip;
You must include the Intel matrix Storage Manager in the XP installation.
Without the iMSM OS XP can't find HARD drive!

The iMSM can be installed by using the USB FDD drive or you can create a new XP CD using the freeware tool called nLite.

After the installation of the OS, you must download and install the drivers of Toshiba of the European driver Tosh page.

PS: should check the driver installation instructions txt file before you start to install the Toshiba XP drivers

  • you need additional memory

Hi, aurora r4 with 2 x 4 GB ram sticks. I use it for games on simple monitor@1920x1080,would it be useful to add extra RAM to make own quad memory? The cost is £50

    Thanks Martyn

No, no game requires more than 8 GB of RAM.  Only useful if you use applications that have need of additional memory such as editing video, rendering, etc., or if you are in the habit of running several memory hogging application simultaneously.

Also, the memory quad configuration will not give you nice perks in the use of real life on config double memory.

  • I need instructions on how to install Dreamweaver CS6 that work.  Cannot install after repeated efforts.

Adobe cannot send me an installation disc if its online instructions to install Dreamweaver do not work

CS6 is in the CC App too, I thought that it could have been one of those situations where someone calls Dreamweaver 'CS6' because it's the last version, of which they were aware.

But if it's the version actual perpetual license...

Download from the bottom of this page: https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install.html

Install and enter your series/activation number to disable the 30 day trial.

If you have already installed DWCS6 and it works correctly, run the cleanup tool to remove all traces of it: download and Installation Help | Download and Installation Help

Then download, install and activate as above.

  • The instruction at "0x03925a9c" referenced memory at "0x03925a9c". The memory could not be written.

I don't know why I continue to install the latest version when the previous version works fine, but I do. So this time it gave me an error when I start Skype... The instruction at "0x03925a9c" referenced memory at "0x03925a9c". The memory could not be written.

The only options it gives me is to terminate the program or to debug, which one of the two closes just for Skype. I have not tried to make a call, same Skype2Skype, but I know very well, I can talk as long as I do not click on the OK or CANCEL buttons and just move the window behind the others, this is not a problem. I tried to uninstall Skype and resettlement and who does not. Even tried out hacking the registry, and the same error comes back upward after a reinstallation. I'd hate to reinstall my OS it takes do someday, because of all the programs that I need to install again. Don't know what I can do to solve this problem. I tried the MS registry Fixer thing and found some things and repaired them, but still does not solve my problem of Skype.

Alternatively, you can first try to uninstall the currently installed version of 6.18 and install Skype 6.14.0.104 version:

    Good.

Not sure what it is yet, but you know what it is not.

I don't know what to think of your permissions problem, but if records are read-only and not meant to be, are you not able to change the folder properties and what happens when you try to do?

When the Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer) is wrong (especially when right click), begin to suspect third-party add-ons explore extension.

Those who would be the Explorer extensions that do not belong to Microsoft.  This means that extensions that you have added.  Solution Explorer extensions are generally well and installation of certain applications will install extensions from Explorer solutions for you, give you a choice and sometimes they can be added without your knowledge when you install the new software.

Solution Explorer extensions are sometimes added as a new right-click option, you see on folders and files (like the scan of this file, open that file, play this song).

If there is something in particular that you do during exploration that you know will be the cause of the problem, which will help focus on the problem and the help that you suddenly know, when you have found and corrected.  If you can get there when you want it, make an adjustment and then there is no message the next time you don't do anything, you do, you have found and corrected.

First of all you need a way to see what modules explore you have installed now and a way to turn them off (not uninstall them) so you can understand that we are at the origin of the problem.  You can have a lot of extensions not installed Microsoft don't even know you about.

Download ShellExView here to see what Explorer extensions you have loaded:

    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/shexview.html

ShellExView does not install anything on your computer, simply of runs and displays.

After launching ShellExView, under Options, choose "Mark non-Microsoft Extensions" and extensions not Microsoft will be pink, clear, but on some systems which is a difficult color to see, so click on display, choose the columns and move the column Microsoft closer to the top, so you can see on your screen without having to scroll left and right.

Click on the column header for Microsoft sort display (by clicking on the column of Microsoft) then all the non Microsoft extensions are on top and easy to see.

Non-Microsoft extensions would be things you have added (non-Microsoft) and are what you should be suspect.

You can also Google the name of a suspect add-on and see if there is any success on the mistakes of the DEP and what other people have done about it.
    You can Google something like:

Explorer XP crashing (you must fill in the name of add your suspect on.)

See what kind of search results hits you get and are looking for solutions or situations that sound like yours.

I'm not a defender of trial and error, but I can't think of another way to do...

Right click and disable the non Microsoft extensions one at a time (or maybe in groups of 3-5), keep a list, so you can enable them again later if you wish. The result of the change is immediate and no reboot is necessary.  Test your failure condition.  If the Explorer starts to act normally, you'll know that some extension you just disabled in this group of 3-5 is the culprit, then you can start to enable them one by one until the Explorer fails again.

If you recognize all the extensions that have been added or recently downloaded, start with these first.

Disabling the extension does not uninstall the extension - it is just disabled.

Disable them one at a time or in small groups (to make things go faster) until your right click does not generate an error, and then restart and try again.  You have disabled the last extension would be suspicious.

You can also just disable all non-Microsoft extensions, restart and allow them one at a time until you find the one that generates the condition.

If you have a large number of extensions, you can disable them is small groups, 3-5 at a time instead of 1 at a time until your system starts to behave.  When it does not, you will know that the problem is one of the extensions of this small group and you can enable members of the Group at a time until the problem returns, then the problem is with the last extension that you enabled.

The hope is that you will find an extension that caused the error, and then you can figure out what on this subject - either uninstall it or see if you can get an update of the author of the extension of their web page.

I have not your problem, but I can when you toggle extensions, the extension is immediately disabled, so disable an extension does not seem to require a restart, but if you think that you have found the problem, I reboot and repeat the test in any case to be sure the problem disappeared.

If you post your non-Microsoft extensions list, maybe someone will recognize it as a potential problem.

If you find the offending extension that's the problem, please let us know what it is that I can add to my list.

I am running Mirosoft Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 2

Before that, I really want to customize my windows and then I search in google "how to customize windows xp visual styles. After that, I follow the 7 steps how to customize. This is the link I will:
    http://www.WikiHow.com/customize-Windows-XP-visual-styles
Then, after I followed the steps, it asks me to install this: Neowin patch. When I installed it, it says that my OS is not original, but I just reinstalled the last time.
Are the cause of the problems of the patch that I installed it in the first place?
Is it related with my OS?
    How to solve this problem?

  • OfficeJet Pro 8630: how to install additional color on the 8630 printer cartridges

I just bought an Officejet Pro 8630 with additional color print cartridges.  I went through the instructions but I do not understand where they tell me to insert additional color cartridges.  I've looked everywhere but I still can't find where they need to be installed.  I installed the original color of 3 and 1 black cartridge supplied with the printer in the tray as shown, but when he got to the extra, I'm lost.  I can't find the instructions to install these additional color cartridges anywhere.

    Hello

You cannot install additional color cartridges, the printer uses 4 ink cartridges (black, yellow, Magenta and Cyan).

Additional color cartridges included in the box are intended for future use, once the original ink cartridges is exhausted.

    Kind regards

    Shlomi
