  If you get the error while using a specific application, and then uninstall and reinstall the application to resolve the problem.

  You can also try the SFC (System File Checker) scan currently running on your computer.

  I have win7 Home premium. I'm looking to change an icon for one of my pieces of freeware. Philippe, when I go through the process of 'change icon' I get only one choice, which is the icon even in use. I used to have a couple of files .dll residues many icons, but I lost them. "I used GOOGLE to find something on the files .dll holding icons and encuntered a suggestion that many files in C:\WINDOWS\System32 .dll ' are containers for icons. This turns out be a useless response. When I navigate to a .dll file (there are many of them) with the "change icon" shows, I get a msg of error indicating that the file in question contains no icons. Can someone provide a list of the .dll files that contain icons actually?

  Where I work, so, we have a script that handles all our heavy lifting.  This script runs on CS6, and all users run CC 2014.  When the CS6 machine opens a document with any type of vector object of CC 2014 it is now launching a dialog box asking if I want to flatten, cancel or maintain the layers.  I DISPLAYDIALOGS.NO located at the top of this script.

  I have good enough script support, but I'm not sure if there are options of app.open to say that to keep the layers.  Also, I'm pretty sure a try catch block will not work, because this dialog until the image is actually of pixels on the screen.

  When the script is generating our web images, I tried flatten the document as soon as it opened and I still see this dialog box.  Any help would be great appreciated.

  App.Open you will encounter problems that you don't really no control over so that you get an annoying dialog that you can't do anything with. Who made me mourn for most is when a script tries to open a corrupt jpg image. IMNSHO, app.open should throw an Exception if it cannot open the file, and DisplayDialogs.NO is set. In this way, you can save the file name and face later.

  Bottom line, is that there is nothing you can do in JS. One thing I've done in the past has been to use a utility like AutoKey on Windows that looks for these dialog boxes and automatically responds to them, then you can continue the treatment. I'm fairly certain there is something similar for OS X is available.

  We are happy to assist you with your concern. I understand that you wonder why the message shows up on the Family Safety website.

  The notice comes when it detects an older version of the parental controls installed on your computer. The latest version should be 15.4.3555.0308 for the 2011 version and 16.4.3505.0912 for the 2012 version. Since you're using the 14.0.8118.0427 build that is the 2009 version of the parental control, the site detects it as obsolete. Please note that the only Essentials 2009 version can be installed on Windows XP.

  You probably need to register your dll, and these people are good at it.  When you repost remember to give more details, as the brand and model of your printer.  You should also check the support site for the manufacturer of the printer.

  1. Close all programs so that you're at your desk.
  2. Double-click the icon for my computer.

  6. Under the section files and folders hidden , select the radio button Show hidden folders and files.

  8. Remove the check mark from the box that Hide protected operating system files.
  9. Press the apply button and then the OK button and shutdown my computer.
  10. Now your computer is configured to show all hidden files.

  Please help me solve this computer.  I am an elderly person, not technical and I need to fix it myself if possible.  I studied the system widely.  I don't have the skills or knowledge needed to implement a fix.

  What worries me, is that my files have been damaged by the problems on this computer.  I don't know how to say.

  The system was custom built, not a branded computer.  I have 3 drives, all Originals Microsoft.  XPMCE disks (there are 2) say 2005 on them, the 3rd disc says Version 2005 updates.  He said not cumulative on the third disc. I don't know what that means... I don't know there was also a cumulative 2006 for XP... final.  XP Pro is 2002.

  I installed updates as much as I could, but am stuck with SP2, and I know that the system is vulnerable because of the missing updates.   I want to fix non-destructive if possible.

  Langa claimed it was possible, but he did not speak MCE, but Pro, and they are not the same.  I know not what integrators were not allowed to provide (food?) discs with this particular Version.  I've never done of all disks (experience, is what you get right after that you need), but I'm not sure that the system was perfect when I got it...  I don't have any other type of disk.  I learned that one must save or image the system, so it can be restored.

  The system starts and runs. But the SP3 update can "t be installed.  A program to work indicating that a dll file is missing.  In addition, the system restore stopped working.  I was told the system restore often confuses things and can 'break' installed AV and perhaps other programs, due to conflicts between Windows restoration files and programs that are not part of Windows in terms of time.

  I've always run AntiVirus and MBAM.  I have the instructions step by step for what I could try.

  I would like to find a list of parameters that should be enabled or disabled in different areas... so I can check that they are correct.  The area called services and to uninstall Windows components, I worry.

  I have not really requires... because I don't know how to get the information on this computer.  I ran the Scan Now command and he said I should put in discs... There are 3?   I'm afraid to do anything until I have found on the backup and the possibility of corruption of my files.  I'll have to print files, rather than risk losing things.  My drive back to stop working, don't know if it is related to the lack of files or settings to be wrong.

  Try to run, type: cmd cmd type: verificateur auditor files SFC SCANNOW once windows starts, insert the

  XP CD, leave the screen. The File Checker runs automatically, at least with XP home & PRO. Also check this

  In addition, sfc is thru, remove xp cd, type: CHKDSK C: /F agree to restart, exit cmd, restart the pc.

  If the problems persist, open the event viewer & see what problems or specific files are always in need of attention...

• When you try to reinstall Family Tree Maker version 9, I can't go past a required DLL file error message. LTKRN10N. DLL was not found.

  Family Tree Maker no longer supports this version, but I don't want to upgrade to a new complex program.  Do a search, I found a page of FTM, who explained that the program needs a set of files to display and manipulate images.  These files are supposed to be installed as a group and the software will check for one of them.  Support provided FTM one page set of measures to "solve" the problem, but it did not work for this version.  Supposedly, the file is found somewhere in Windows.  I'd appreciate any help.

I did a search on my hard drive and found 8 copies of the file with 7 different dates. I need to know which copy in my file C:\windows\system32\. I suspect that the problem was caused by some kind of malware. I think that some of the different versions on my machine of the initial installation of the Vista, SP1 and SP2. 3 copies that would explain. I tried all the suggestions in this forum and several others. I tried sfc/scannow and it simply replaces the corrupted file by another. I understand how works this file and a simple copy will do the trick if I knew that the file to use. I know that I don't want to go back to the first version of 2006.  BTW... my symptoms are all my printers have disappeared, and when I try to 'add a new printer' I get an error message saying that my spooler service does not work. When I opened my services window it shows that indeed, he is arrested, but I will not start because the description column contains only the code garbled machine indicating that the file is corrupted, or it may contain a virus. I had been using F-Prot until this virus got by and now I use AVG. I scanned my machine with several cleaning packages and it is is more infected, but I worry that from this corrupt file grow something.   I am populating my MTD drivers with system of cab files and reviews of a few of them show yellow in the State saying there is a new version of Driver at support.Dell.com. I'm still new to this, if it sounds silly. Where is this driver updated exactly and how to import the said pilot in my environment of MDT? I tried to go to the page my OptiPlex model drivers and I do not know if this is where I'm supposed to find it. I downloaded the driver and extract the files. Sometimes it does not work like that; for example drivers chipset allow to extract, there is a setup.exe file that I am looking for the drivers inf on but then I've never had this work.
