Need of a component of the virtual machine for a program where I can find one?

I just bought a program for windows 7 80 people have it but it doesn't work on my computer, a warning appears saying its lack a component of VM, I after troubleshooting it says its fixed the program but it comes up saying its compapitble how can I solve this virtual machine what program should I use. This new program s.

Hello whitelotus,

If the program is not compatible, then you try to install and run the program in compatibility mode.

Use the following steps:

(1) right click on the program

2) click Properties

3) click on the Compatibility tab

(4) select run this program in compatibility mode and select Windows Vista or other operating system, the program has been run successfully.

Check out the link here: make sure to run older programs in this version of Windows

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows

If compatibility is not successful, then try and self-test program compatibility issues:

1. open the program compatibility problems theStart button.

Then click on Control Panel. In the search box, type troubleshooting tool, then clickTroubleshooting. Under programs, clickRun done for previous versions of Windows.

2. follow the instructions in the troubleshooting.

If you are unable to install a program, insert the installation disc for the program and, using the Troubleshoot utility, navigate to the program setup file, usually called Setup.exe, Install.exe, or something similar. This utility is not designed to work on programs that have an .msi file name extension.

If you are running Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate version, install Windows Virtual PC and Windows XP mode (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/default.aspx) and run your software in Windows XP.

If you run Windows 7 Home Premium, try VirtualBox (www.virtualbox.org) or VMware Player (www.vmware.com), or any other software virtualization part 3rd and install a separate copy of Windows XP (family or professional edition) for this purpose. You can find the virtualization software free that will run on Windows 7 Home Premium.

Hope that answers your question.

Sincerely,

Marilyn

    Hi Polo939

    First, you will need to take a snapshot of the virtual machine.

    • Select your virtual machine

    • Click on "take a snapshot" on the right-hand side of the web interface

    Then you must configure the virtual machine to go back to the snapshot when it is turned off.

    • Click on "configure the VM.

  • Windows XP Home Edition (Version 2002) include SP1 is the Virtual Machine for Java (MSJVM) installed on this and future Service Packs Microsoft remove it?

    While the installation of Microsoft DirectX 9.0 c on my Windows XP Home Edition (Version 2002) operating system (not sure if the 2002 version in it's original state included SP1), EULA (EULA) provided the contract included a paragraph stating that "ONLY in regards to THE VIRTUAL MACHINE MICROSOFT FOR JAVA, YOU ARE ONLY ALLOWED to INSTALL THIS OS COMPONENT ON A MACHINE THAT CONTAINS A ALREADY the VERSION OF THE MICROSOFT JAVA VIRTUAL MACHINE". Assuming that the MSJVM was included with Windows XP Home Edition (Version 2002), I advanced and accepted the EULA. I then downloaded and installed Windows XP SP2 and SP3, but wasn't sure whether SP2 and SP3 removed the MSJVM in any point. However, research on the question, I discovered the site "FAQ of Transition MSJVM" (updated May 7, 2004), who answered the question: ' if I install Windows XP SP1a or later, it will remove my current MSJVM? " with "No, the operating system upgrade will not remove a MSJVM existing on the computer" (http://www.microsoft.com/about/legal/en/us/interoperability/java/faq.aspx). However, I can't find any instance of it on my computer.

    So my questions are:

    1. Windows XP Home (Version 2002) Edition include SP1?
    2. The MSJVM is installed on this version?
    3. SP2 or SP3 removes the MSJVM in any point to?

  • Migrate the virtual machine for Exchange 2010 from one host to another

    Dear members,

    Please let know us if the migration of a virtual machine for Exchange 2010 is supported to an Esxi host to another, the Esxi version is 5.0.

    There are unique Exchange environment with the role of hub, CAS and mailbox on the same virtual server. We have a maintenance window and we think moving exchange virtual machine from one host to another, but before that I need to be sure if it's supported my MS and do not want to have problems after, because I have also gotten to know here in the forums this snapshot for Exchange 2010 is not supported by Ms.

    Please notify.

    Kind regards

    I'm not aware of any limitations with VMS Exchange migration. Anyway, you can consider running the migration during the low workload.

  • The easiest for the owner of the virtual machine for heel of workflow?

    I'm trying to shoot and use the owner of the virtual machine in one of my workflow and it doesn't look like vCACVirtualMachine has these available goods.  What is the best way to get in my workflow for later use?

    You can try that... but there might be a problem of synchronization on the creation of an entity.

    (I think that there is a vcacvm.getEntity () method to get the actual entity.  I can't check right now).

    var ownerEntity = virtualMachineEntity.getLink (vCACHost, 'Owner') [0];

    Name of owner var = ownerEntity.getProperty ("UserName");

    I think I have other methods as well.  You have reason to assume that the applicant is not always the owner.

  • Design of the virtual machine for a dummy

    Hello team

    I have 7 servers I want to integrate in a virtual environment; the current configuration is the following

    SERVER 1: SUN X 4100 (AMD Opteron Dual core, 8 GB RAM, HD 1, 2 0 t)

    SERVER 2: HP PROLIANT (Intel Pentium III, 512 MB RAM, HD)

    SERVER 3: SUN X 4100 (AMD Opteron Dual core, 6 GB RAM, HD 140 GB)

    SERVER 4: HP PROLIANT DL 380 5 (Intel XEON 1, 6 GHz, 4 GB RAM, 270 GB HD)

    SERVER 5: SUN X 4200 (AMD Opteron Dual core, 4 GB RAM, HD520Go) (2 GB of RAM, 100 GB)

    6 SERVER: VIRTUAL: (AMD Opteron Dual core, 6 GB RAM, HD520Go) (2 GB of RAM, 100 GB)

    SERVER 7: VIRTUAL: (AMD Opteron Dual core, 6 GB of RAM, HD 443Go) (2 GB of RAM, 100 GB)

    Most of them have processors at + 90% of saturation, MEMORY at + 90% saturation, DRIVES to + 70% saturation

    I would like to integrate this in a virtual infrastructure VmWare VSpere; How do I do for sizing of virtual machines so that performance is sustained and saturation of resources is resolved?

    Thank you

    Obtaining appropriate material and storage for virtual hosting will have expertise. How much RAM and CPU virtual County won't matter much.

  • Cannot download the files of the virtual machine for the data store

    Hello

    I get an error message "connection to the server timed out" while I'm trying to download the files from the virtual computer from the data store.

    Although the ESX and my laptop are on the same network, I get this error message.

    Please let me know if I need to take care of something.

    I think that hard & .vsmp be used & locked is why you are unable to download it. Try to download the file, whereas the VMs system is turned off

  • What ist the "architecture" of a laptop and where I can find the right one

    I have a laptop with older Satellite (1800-750) and I try to install Linux on it. The problem is that there are different downloads depending on the 'architecture' of my computer. SPARC, PowerPc, Intel what ever...

    Can someone explain to me what it is and how can I know what 'architecture' my laptop has?

    Link: [http://www.debian.org/releases/stable/installmanual]

    Thanks in advance,

    Amarabay

    Some architectures are not known to me as Alpha, SPARC,

    But for your Satellite 1800-750, you need the Intel x 86 version. This version is for all s PC with 32-bit processor.
    AMD64 is for laptop and PC with AMD64 processor and AFAIK Intel IA - 64 for the new Intel processors with 64-bit support.
    All other versions are not known to me, but the Intel x 86 version should work on your laptop.

  • Restore the Virtual Machine from Windows 7

    I had set up a virtual computer on another partition on my drive (D:\VM) and my computer crashed and the computer scientist did a restore of the C: drive and I am not currently able to do the old VM to work. I have the following files listed under D:\VM

  • Impossible to get 'notes' of the virtual machine

    I tried to use a powershell script to get information from the virtual machine. I can get VMHost, VMname and GuestVersion using the script in the following, but failed to get the notes of the virtual machine. Anyone know why I can't get notes, please help me with that. Thank you in advance.

    report = @)
    foreach ($vmView in (Get-View - ViewType VirtualMachine))
    {
    $report += $vmView. Select-Object @{Name = "$vmhost"; Expression = {($vmView.Runtime.Host Get-View).} Name}},
    @{Name = "VMName"; Expression = {$_.} Name}},
    @{Name = 'Notes'; Expression = {$_.} Description}},

    @{Name = "GuestVersion"; {Expression = {$vmView.Guest.GuestFullName}}
    }
    $report | Sort-Object VMName-descending | Export-Csv "d:\vm_GuestVersion.csv" - NoTypeInformation

    There is no need to do it with the cmdlet Get-View.

    You can do

    $report = @()foreach ($vm in Get-VM){    $report += $vm | `        Select-Object @{Name="VMHost"; Expression={($_.Host).Name}},            @{Name="VMName"; Expression={$_.Name}},            @{Name="Notes"; Expression={$_.Description}},            @{Name="GuestVersion"; Expression={$_.Guest.OSFullName}}}$report | Sort-Object VMName -Descending | Export-Csv "d:\vm_GuestVersion.csv" -NoTypeInformation

    If you want to do with the cmdlet Get-View for any reason, you can do

    $report = @()
    foreach ($vmView in (Get-View -ViewType VirtualMachine))
    {
        $report += $vmView | `        Select-Object @{Name="VMHost"; Expression={(Get-View $vmView.Runtime.Host).Name}},
                @{Name="VMName"; Expression={$_.Name}},
                @{Name="Notes"; Expression={$_.Config.Annotation}},
                @{Name="GuestVersion"; Expression={$vmView.Guest.GuestFullName}}
    }
    $report | Sort-Object VMName -Descending | Export-Csv "d:\vm_GuestVersion.csv" -NoTypeInformation

    But note that as you need a view of the GET each time for the host name, performance will suffer.

  • Virtual Center stops all the virtual machines in a cluster HA

    Hello.

    I have a question about vCenter machine. We have deployed

    VMware ESX 4.0 HA cluster on Server Blade IBM 3. VCenter machine resides

    on a virtual machine on the same cluster. When we tried to recharge a physical switch (in the)

    IBM Blade Center), all our virtual machines on the cluster have been turned off automatically.

    If the vCenter VM is turned off, then everything is fine - the reloading of the

    Switch is not turning off the virtual machines (and the net is ok - start machines

    work through another switch in IBM bladecenter). If the machine vCenter

    powers (manually), all the other machines, which have been put off, are powered

    on too (automatically, of course, with the help of the machine of vCenter). How

    is that what I can adjust the machine vCenter, so it could not power power machines by

    itself automatically?

    ESX 4.0 (162856)

    Hello

    Right-click in your cluster, change the settings. Select 'Virtual Machine Options' under 'Vmware HA' and choose the host response of insulation desired for the entire cluster or individual VM. If you do not have network connections redundant between your ESX machines, you probably want the virtual machine for when you need to do maintenance or your network switch died. You should probably also disable HA while doing maintenance. You should consider to build network redundancy in the case of a production environment.

    I hope that helps!

  • Clone the virtual machine between two ESX 3.5.0 servers (low connection)

    Hi all!

    I have two ESX 3.5.0 servers that are managed by a vCenter servers one have just the connection of 32 KB.

    I need to clone one of my virtual machines from one to the other ESX is W2k8 created with 40 GB HARD drive. I tried to start it clone trough my low connection, but the task is about 86% for 4 days :|

    Is it possible to clone virtualmachine on one of my ESX for its local storage and after that, get it by vCenter for example an external HARD drive and then copy them all to my second ESX? How to run copied virtual machine on my second ESX? Maybe I can do it with another way - ideas?

    Two ESX are the same versions and machines, only the names and the ip addresses are different.

    Thanks for the tips

    Kris

    I don't think it is possible since the virtual disk will be 40 GB in size - I was suggesting using a laptop as a server NFS ESX sees and access the virtual machine for this storage clone - it take the first vessel of ESX host it to secondary site attach NFS datastore on the second ESX Server and using the browser of data store you navigate to the cloned VMX of VM file and to him the second ESX host - you can cold migrate leaving the second host and then move the cursor above for the storage you want.
