  One here that never heard you before - I burned the OS on this Toshiba L300D-043 is really a PSLC8C 043019 of his bloody useless VISTA to XP and I managed to dig up enough drivers for everything except the video card in it.

  Now I show as an ATI Radeon 3100 series, at least that's what the windows 7 install says it is...
  So once the continuous hunt... anyone know what other series of laptops has the same video chipset and it will install happilly on this PC?

  I went to ATI and found the chipset and told by the site they don "t he provide for mobility series... Thanks ATI!

  Yet once again, I need the XP version of a video driver ATI, which runs on a Toshiba D300L-043 who formerly Vista and now runs XP Pro instead!

• Need a new disc of recovery for Satellite L300D

  My grandson got a Satellite L300D for Christmas and lost the recovery disk that came with it... He now has a problem where the laptop does not start and the drive needs.

  Anyone know where I can download one or get a new one. I would try to repair the Vista before going down to any other route. Mind you, I'm only a novice myself and not very technical. Thank you

  The SATA drivers are included in the graphics driver.

  You must download the graphics driver and the "SATA/SBDrv contains the files needed!

  On the other hand, you can try switch mode SATA from AHCI to compatible.

  I checked the Web site of Toshiba, but I can only find drivers for Vista :(
  So you must search on external Web sites for the drivers or you look on the European website of Toshiba (http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com) and search for Satellite A300 (it s the same as your model only for the Europe of the market).

  I noticed that for no apparent reason the Win XP drivers don t exist for portable computers running AMD processor.

  I have an A210 with AMD processor and XP drivers are also not released for this model of laptop.

  But don t worry buddy. I noticed that most notebook series were equipped with the same features like WLan, LAN sound card, touchpad, etc.

  I could reinstall certain drivers XP only from the Toshiba page. The drivers were released for other A210 series but they are working on my A210.

  You could do the same thing as me check other drivers!

  I found most of the drivers I need on the Web site for my XP install on my laptop satellite L300D, however there are still two "other devices" in Device Manager with many yellow question marks by them (I've been told I need drivers to fix... correct me if I'm wrong).

  Video controller (VGA Compatible)

  I have a Toshiba Satellite L300D-11V comes with Vista. I downgraded it to XP Pro. I need to find a driver from chipset AMD M690G (processor is AMD Athlon X 2 dual core inside) to set right, but can't find so far that has worked.

  I think that's the reason why I can't install the network driver wireless Realtek correctly on this subject.
