Dell OpenManage complains about being obsolete PERC firmware. 2 servers I currently have running, firmware 5.2.1 - 0062 and 5.1.1 - 0040. I downloaded the latest version of 5.2.2 - 0072.   Matsu * one is the same company that PANASONIC which is more known for us. The UJ-811 is a quite old model (3-4 years) and very well known problems.

  You forgot to mention in your post...
  (1) exactly, what is not working on your disk (writing? read?) DVD? CD? Movies?) and also
  (2) why do you think a firmware would solve your problem. (he has none)
  (3) how often and for what purpose do you use your car,.
  (4) and finally to what type of physical environment (home? mobile? dusty?) that you are using your laptop.

  Be aware, that optical readers get very easily breakable, especially when it is used for watching/rip movies on them or access the drive streaming of games. Another possible reason would be a wrong installation / incompatible software on your PC that can cause the drive not to work properly (or even disappear).

  You can try to 'clean up unused software' on your laptop and also to put a soft recovery to check, if your CD drive will be properly again. If the problem will not go away, you need to exchange it for a different brand new maybe even one (it was 5 times that a PANASONIC drive is broken?  ;)). If you are a heavy user of DVD player (movies, tearing, Burning, blah) you should ALSO get yourself a USB external... they hardly ever get broken, are faster and more reliable, and are much less expensive to replace. One of my friends who had already 3 discs replaced in his book could confirm as the best solution.

It should be possible to allow flexible adjustment for slower frame per second to produce the same photograph of time-lapse effects. No necessary intervalometer. My cheapie GE X 5 camera have intervalometer setting for interval of 30 s, 1 min, 5 min & 10 min. Kind of sad to see that you missed this feature in a perfect unit for photography accelerated. Get there in the guy.

  I have an old Clip 4 GB firmware v 01.01.29A and a Clip + 8 GB firmware v 01.02.15A. I see that these are outdated versions and newer versions are available. I've never updated the firmware, so I was reading the messages to see how. Here's my question; I read that to remove FM Radio you should 'drop' the 'A' in the update. I see that the updates do not have the letter 'A' affixed. This doesn't mean no FM Radio more if I update the firmware for both of the clips? I don't want to lose the radio.

  I wouldn't bother with updating the Clip +. There is very little has changed since the version.15. It's the one I always use on mine.

  No, you won't lose the FM radio by updating the firmware. You must have read some old posts.
