Need video card update

How can I tell what type of video card is compatible with my laptop (HP Pavilion ze5700)? I have an ATI RS200M Radeon IGP 345 M and I know that I can't update. I decided not to get another laptop right now and I would like to upgrade this laptop as much as possible. If you need more information, please let me know. Thanking you in advance for your help and information.

Unfortunately, not really. There are external video cards, but they cost about as much as a new laptop. Also they do not type game video most of the time; they are designed to add the ability to use a third-party monitor or a fourth. External solutions pretty powerful little require an expresscard slot, which you don't have.

  • Pavilion 9220y video card update

    Hello
I was hoping that an expert can help me upgrade/configure a new video card for a desktop HP Pavilion Elite 9220y.

I have done the research to shed light on the issue, but would REALLY appreciate some help!

So just that the machine has now integrated ATI Radeon HD 4350 - that it comes with, who I am is of course very well for the casual user, but I want a massive update to play new games.  Unfortunately, I'm stuck with this computer, so I can't build a new machine custom, so I just want to update my video card today... the rest of the system works very well if.

    My questions are:

    • Can I upgrade the video card on this specific computer HP Pavillion 9220y?
    • I read that I can replace the card using the PCIex16 slot? but is this slot PCI-E 1.0 or 2.0?  I could not find in the sheets...
    • If so, what kind of cards are compatible with it and are good for games?
    • I buy a power supply additionanl to run the additional power demand?  If so, what is a good thing that will work for the 9220y? http://www.Newegg.com/store/subcategory.aspx?subcategory=58&name=power-supplies

It's just a lot to wrap around my head and I want to make sure I go about it the right way, before you update or buy anything!
Again, any help would be appreciated more
    Steve

    Hi Steve,.

    1. Yes, you can install a video card in your PC.

    2. the discrete graphics card will move into the slot PCI-E x 16.  HP is not posting slot PCI-E card, but a video designed to the 2.0 PCI card will normally be backward compatible with the PCI 1.x ports.

3 game cards have different levels of performance and your choice will depend on the game being used and set of parameters. Check out forum and the game manufacturer's web site and see what others are using.

    4. more decent video cards will require a bigger power supply.  The p9220y has only a 300 Watt power supply.

Here are the specifications of the motherboardfor the p9220y. Since most of the better video cards are wider than normal single slot card, then adjacent locations on the PCI-E x 16 slot must be vacant.

I make a few suggestions, but I'm really in the dark about your playing conditions.

TheCorsair CX600should have enough power for most video cards.

TheNVIDIA GTX 550 TIshould have enough power for most video games with the higher settings. Screen resolution is a factor of performance.

You need to open your PC and measure the physical dimensions of your diet.  Here is a list of the things to consider:

    1. Specifications
    2. Total power - important
    3. amperage 12 + v - important
    4. Modular - is not required, but I like the flexibility
    5. Warranty
    6. I7 and SLI ready
    7. Efficiency rating
    8. Cost
    9. The physical size - standard ATX PSU is 5.5 "by 5.9" by 3.4 "give or take a few tenths
    10. Only one + 12 volt rail is a better choice.

www.Newegg.com has many choices of power supplies.  Corsair, OCZ, Rosewill, Thermaltake...

Review the performance of NVIDIA specifications. Look at the specifications of strip memory bandwidth and level of DirectX support.

  • Aspire the XC-605 video card update

    Hi all

I recently bought an Aspire XC-605 and I need help, so I hope you guys can help out me. It comes with an integrated only video card. I wanted to update the graphs so I bought a card Asus HD 6450 Silent PCIe. I installed the card and booted the computer and nothing appears on the screen any card (Asus or integrated) I plug the HDMI cable.

Do not know how to proceed at this point. I went into the BIOS to see if I could disable the onboard graphics, but there is no other choice. I think that maybe it's a power issue? I don't know anything about power supplies, but certainly one that comes with the system is not standard size.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi pchandra

The video card you have is a low power card - it needs about 75 watts and draws its power from the PCIe slot, so your XC-605 feeding should be enough.

There may be a problem with the graphics card. I suggest to try the card in another PC to rule out a problem with it. If it does not work in the second PC, the card will be replaced.

If there is no setting in the BIOS, it adjusts automatically, usually the output, so if you insert a card, it will default to it. Similarly, if you delete it, it should default to the integrated graphics card.

Try the card in another PC and let us know how you get on...

There is really no quality maps of game on the market for your computer's power supply. 250 watt power supply is too low for this kind of maps and will need to be replaced if you want use more add-in PCIe x 16 graphics cards.

Thanks for looking at my post. I have a desktop PC HP Pavilion p6610f that runs on an operating system Windows 7 and Athlonll X 4 635 (P) 2.9 GHz (95W) processor. The office itself is really great, but I'm not able to run PC games so intended to update my video card. For this, I needed food uprage. It has 250 W.

So my question is, can I LEVEL MY POWER SUPPLY UNIT? and if I can, that one you offer me to buy. Please give me the link. I was looking for a 600 and more watt power supply.

Thank you for coming on the user forums. Given the simple request of a PSU 600 + W, here are some, with comments.

When you look at these, please look at the pictures of the label of power amps for the + 12V / real sustained power.

I'm looking at 650W-600 units, but the Corsair and Ocz remained depth 6.3 "in the case. In addition, the 700W units were a better deal.

    Thanks for your help

    @MagicToast, welcome to the forum.

I think that the card will be compatible with your motherboard.  It will be a tight fit, but if you do a few cables, it should be good.  However, you need to upgrade your power supply unit (PSU) at least 600 w.  The card requires at least 500W runs correctly.  I love Corsair products.  If you buy a modular PSU it will allow you to use only the cables that are absolutely necessary to allow better flow of air.  A more powerful card will create more heat.

  • Satellite L30 - question video card update

    Hey guys!

I have a Toshiba Satellite L30-113 and I am very happy with the way it looks and works. I managed to update the 3 GB RAM, the processor is in a pretty good shape, although it is only 1.7 GHz.

Now, my only problem is that the video card, the laptop is equipped with (ATI Radeon XPRESS 200 M) is quite low. You have an idea on which other (preferably better) video cards is compatible with the Satellite L30 - 113 default installation?

    Thank you!

Speaking of GPU Generly cannot be upgraded on laptops. Due to the specific design and cooling with limited cooling performance, it cannot be done.

  • T420s video card update

Then I bought the 'Business' Machine Lenovo t420s, I was really surprised to discover that it came with video card accumulation, just the lowest system based Intel grpaphics. I am not able even browse some of my applications of rich companies multumedia. The video is still lagging.

I called Lenovo and requested an upgrade, but the suport Tech, said that Lenovo provides all options 'upgrade' for its customers.

Please advice, how can I add card Nvidea to my machine?

Hello. So you cliam that there is not a difference between low-quality Intel HD without any memory and professional video with dedicated memory card?

If so, why any friendly manufacturing (instead of Lenovo) instaled map video saperated in their machine?

in May the Intel hD is able to suport any multimedia application. If you zoom in/zoom out PDF with multimedia, is the difference! Need more time to open and PPT file. The video fullscreen is still trolling too. Anyone sell you a car with bike wheeles, why of Lenovo?

  • HP 625 video card update

    Hello

I would like to know if I can update/change my video card on my HP 625 model

    Hello:

    N °

The video chip is part of the motherboard and the entire motherboard must be replaced by another which has better graphics (if any).

The attendant costs for doing such a thing would exceed the cost of buying a new laptop with the desired video solution.

  • P7 video card update - 1050t

I tried to replace my radeon 6450 1gig video card with a card geforce 2 640 of the gig

Even with the help of Nvidia support I couldn't have the error code 12 (something you need to free up resources by disabling the thing)

I followed the suggestions of the nvidia - uninstall the radeon, ran scan driver, nvidia install, run a cleaning installation

Although technology Nvidia didn't say it's a must, I realized myself that my diet may have been the issue so I upgraded to a 250W on a 450W power supply. The new power supply installed without any problems. Note: has also improved the 4 GB of RAM that came with the machine at 8 GB. Once again no problem.

I downgraded a bit and swapped my gt640 geforce with geforce gt 610 2 gig card.

The machine seen in the bios and actually put mirror on the second screen on the HDMI then in Setup. Once again however, the windows Device Manager indicates the card by error - error code resource 12

Does anyone have a solution? NVIDIA swear the card will work but nothing which they suggest solves the problem

It would be more disappointing and strange as DIMMs are also PNY

  • ATC-705-uc52 video card update

I have an ATC-705-uc52.  I need 3 monitors to work. I have a Geforce GT520 PCIe x 16 7200LE which worked fine with my old machine, but when I put it in this one, the monitor does not come on either built into the video card (which I suppose is disabled when I inserted the card 7200LE), or the 7200LE card. What Miss me.

    Thank you

I had finally it works. Turns out default Windows startup program 8/10, video driver does not work with this card. When I leave the computer use and a start-up (without seeing anything), he finds the video drivers and has worked to restart. And if you have a dual-boot system, you must do so for EACH Windows start-up system you have. Hard but it does not work

  • HP Touchsmart 520-1070 video card update

I have a HP Touchsmart 520-1070 with an AMD RADEON HD 6450 A graphics card. I'm not too good with technical stuff, and when I bought this PC I was told that it would be perfectly fine any game. However, when I tried to download some of the popular games and play them on my PC as it is today, with the THIEF, what I discovered was that this computer was great, except that a single card video. I did some research and found that I needed  graphics AMD Radeon HD series R9 to run games perfectly. Now, my question is, can I switch to one of these video cards AMD Radeon HD series R9 with my PC?

    Thank you.

What I'm saying is, you can't buy a standard PCI Express x 16 video card, for example, the R9 from AMD.  It should be a card MXM Mobile, as stated in my previous post.  I wasn't able to find a map that shows the specifications shown, however.  They are not readily available.  To be honest, I'm not sure that an upgrade would allow you to play the games you mentioned.

  • Dell Optiplex 755 SFF 2015 video card update

    Dear readers.

I'll buy my first Dell computer, which is a Dell Optiplex 755 Small Form Factor. It has a Core 2 Quad q6600 CPU in it, with 2 GB of ram and a PSU 275w. I have a Nvidia Geforce GT220 video card, which is a low profile video card, it can consume the maximum of 58 W, and this video card requires at least 300 W works without problems. Will it work with this diet?

    Link to the video card:

    Thank you!

I'll buy an Ati Radeon HD 2400 XT, because im does not intend to do some games 'hardcore' and other animals, it can be good for my needs.

The 2400XT is very outdated and terribly weak power. You are much better with people like a Sapphire 6450, that can be done for $43 postpaid from Newegg.
