need vista on my sl 500

last week my SL500 fell from my office... nothing happened, but my HARD drive broke. Thank God I still have a backup of important files on my server.

now to my problem. I have three win XP downgrade disks and no disk Vista. I just got a recovery on my broken HARD drive partition, so I can now only install win XP on my new hard drive. Ive done this and that my battery got a helping hand... but I have the habit of vista and is now xp simply boring... I want vista back!

somehow can I download a bulletin from microsoft (I have a company key legal vista) or lenovo or what I need to order a disc and pay full price?

I also tried a few versions "torrent" and enter my legal key, but vista wont install all drivers and recognize all the components...

any advise?

You need of course a recovery media for your machine, you will not pay the full price, but rather a service and handling charges at worst.

  • Compatible BIOS need Vista for Tecra S3

    Hello.

I read on the support pages that my toshiba tecra S3 supports Windows Vista, but I can't find a BIOS that is appropriate for that.
I found one on the Canadian website of toshiba but I don't know if it applies to my laptop because it only exists in the Canadian Web site and my laptop was purchased at the Portugal.

I am supposed to use the Canadian version or the laptop is not really compatible?

    Thank you

    Hey Buddy,

I guess that you need because TPM, right?
I can tell you that you can use this Canadian version. It does not matter where you bought your machine and from which site you download that your bios, the BIOS do not differ.

I give the people several times the Canadian site link because they sometimes drivers that Europe or the United States do not have, so feel free to update your bios.

  • Equium L40: Replaced HDD - disc need vista Home premium

I had to replace my hard drive in my Toshiba Equium L40 and need to install windows vista again I have my code of product vista Home premium but no installation disc.

    Can someone help

    Hello

Sorry do you need exactly? Do you need disc recovery Toshiba or d you must have Microsoft Vista disk?

The serial key you found at the bottom of the unit belongs to the preinstalled Windows operating system and will NOT work by using different Windows disks.

    You have two options;
Either you buy the here Toshiba Recovery disk:
    https://backupmedia.Toshiba.EU/landing.aspx

Or you buy the original disc of Microsoft Vista and will use the drivers provided by page European driver Toshiba

    There is no other solution.

  • Satellite Pro A120-185 - need Vista Recovery disk - never get a

Hello, my trusty Satellite Pro C: is completely filled, and so I would wipe and do complete a new installation of Windows.

It came with VISTA on it when I bought it several years ago.

It's a Satellite Pro A120-185 and the operating system only disk I got with it was just something to 'upgrade' disc of Vista.
I bought and paid for Windows Vista with the laptop, thus so I wouldn't have a license can I reinstall?

Please note that I am an advanced PC user, I'm not looking for ways to reduce the space that my household is good and I uninstalled everything I do not use or need.

I just want to be able to clean the laptop and reinstall Windows Vista... is it going to be possible? (I don't see why it shouldn't be because Vista came with the laptop!). Please tell me where I can get the windows disk since?

    Hi dude

Read the other discussions on this topic even here in the forum.

You didn t get this disk because you create the recovery disk using the Toshiba recovery disc Creator called pre-installed tool.
This was mentioned in the manual as well!

However, here you can order the recovery disk that you didn't create yourself.

  • Satellite A100 - need Vista 64bits Mass Storage Controller & TOS1901 driver

I have a notebook "Toshiba Satellite A100-049" who has the ability to support 4 GB memory (but which came with 2 GB) and I'm unable to find some drivers for it on the site Web of Tosiba. I put a second hard drive in the laptop (although far from my normal 32 bit Vista installation) and test Windows 7 64 bit. I currently have 2 GB of memory. I have most of the drivers, but need:

    * Mass Storage Controller
    * Unknown Device - TOS1901
    * According to the "Action Center", I also need to install "Intel Management Engine Interface". I suspect this is related to the mass storage controller.

I searched the Intel site but without knowing which chipset etc... my laptop uses, it's like looking for a needle in a haystack.

When I installed Vista 32 bit, I had to install the package of value-added and supervisor password utility.
The problem is while I managed to find a value-added Package 64-bit I can't find a Supervisor Password Utility 64-bit.

I understand "Unknown Device - TOS1901" supervisor password average Utility.

Where can I find drivers for 64-bit for this and also the mass storage controller?
Even if they are for another model (but fine installation).

    Thank you

PS - If I can't find the drivers I'll send a letter of complaint from Toshiba to sell a laptop capable of 4 GB of memory but absolutely no way to actually do this. Response from Toshiba a while ago (when I asked) had to settle for 3 GB on 32-bit Windows. It is not really satisfactory to lose 25% of your memory.
That was before I had installed 64-Bit Windows.

    Hi Brad

As you can see here, nobody can offer the correct answer. Problem is that this model of laptop is not supported for Vista 64-bit and you will be unable to find the Toshiba drivers, tools and utilities that are designed or tested with your model of laptop.

Maybe you can try to install the other laptop satellite model tools, but there is no guarantee that it will work properly.
    Sorry :(

Maybe you should use 32-bit Vista support

  • Satellite L300-19F - need Vista drivers

    I really need your help...

I reinstalled windows Vista on my laptop Toshiba Satellite L300-19F and I do not have the necessary drivers... So I need your help...

Can you PLEASE send me a link or send me all the necessary drivers, I need so that I can use my laptop without any problems (drivers of graphics, wireless, ethernet (NIC), touchpad, sound card drivers etc...)

    PLEASE HELP ME!
I've looked everywhere and I can not find them...
You are my last hope... ANSWER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE...

    THANKS IN ADVANCE!

    Hey Buddy

I wonder if you really searched these Vista drivers. I doubt it.

Satellite L300-19F seems to be a PSLB8E series and all THE Vista drivers are published on the European driver Toshiba page.
Visit the European driver Toshiba page and choose this series.
Then, you will get all the necessary drivers!

    Good bye

  • Qosmio G20: Need Vista Toshiba Common Modules & utilities

I have a Qosmio G20 and that you have recently upgraded to Windows Vista - Home Premium
I need to update my driver of common and utility Modules Toshiba - can someone help me?

    Hi Paul

Unfortunately, you will have no success to find Toshiba Vista drivers or utilities for Qosmio G20!
It seems that Toshiba would present only single common Vista drivers like wireless Lan, Bluetooth Stack driver, etc. These drivers are not designed for the G20 series, but you can use it on laptops with the same BT card or wireless network adapter.

However, Toshiba Vista drivers were not released for Qosmio G20 or F20.

    Did you check that?

  • Vista won't see 500 GB drive HARD PX1394e - 3g 50

    I bought a 500 GB external HARD drive, px1394e - 3g 50.
I tried my 3 usb ports on my computer Toshiba laptop is NOT, and none of them work with the HARD disk. My mouse & keyboard are working on the USB ports.

I tried power reduction when the phone was on, restart phone when hdd was turned on, plug in and out usbcables, but none of them seem to get Vista to recognize my HARD drive.

Someone has an idea to solve this problem?
Because the HARD drive will not appear in Device Manager.

    Hello

According to your message, you use the Vista operating system! I am mistaken!
I think that the 500 GB HARD drive was delivered with an additional power supply.
    You connect?

Generally, the only USB port provides 500mA of power.
It is not enough to start the 500 GB HARD drive and therefore additional power supply is necessary!
    Please check this!

PS: Have you had any software installation (drivers etc.) for this HARD drive?

  • Need vista driver fot PX1211E - 1TVD USB DVB - T Tuner

Hi all, I need driver for the USB DVB - T Tuner, model PX1211E-1TVD I bought time ago.

Fully functionaly on XP, but I need to driver Vista, 32 and 64 bits.

Please, could someone link me the ultimate driver and software for vista for this USB? I checked all the download section, without success! :(

    Thank you.

    Hello

I don't know if this will help you, but on the Toshiba download page I found software for tuner TV USB for Vista 32 bit - check HERE.

I didn't test it with my USB TV tuner (I have the same). What I did is to install it with WXP CD delivery. Vista later offered to me to find the Vista driver automatically.
I just followed link offered and all goes well. You can try the same thing.

I am disappointed because they won't update the Bios for Satellite A30, model PSA30E.

Now, with the current Bios, it can not install Windows Vista!
In my contacts with the support of Toshiba, they say that they will not update the bios, but should be forced to use XP.

I ask a bios update for my Toshiba Satellite A30.

    Hi Dragane

Please don't be crazy about me, but your comment is really unjustified. Before write you something of everything you need to inform you about the requirements of Microsoft for Vista installation.
I can understand you and your wish to install the new operating system on this old model of laptop, but you also need to understand that Vista is designed for the latest generation of equipment.

There is a big difference between Vista and Windows XP Home edition. Following your logic, we should be disappointed on 90% of technical products. Technical development starts. If you want to follow this trend you need also the hardware.

    Good luck!

  • Need Vista recovery disk

I have an old HP Pavilion a1000. I want to wipe the drive and make a donation to the computer. I have the product key of Windows Vista on the machine, but I need the recoverty Vista disk.

    Thanks for any help!

The "HP Pavilion a1000" model name you provided is not a real model but rather a series of models. When you request assistance please provide the number of name and/or product of comprehensive model of the computer in question.

Honestly, you can just use the edition CD of Darik Boot-n-Nuke to erase the hard drive of your data and give it to charity, as is. Most charities have the option to install an operating system or "sell" boneless. HP recovery discs most likely won't be available at HP for your model, but you may be able to get them through third-party provider computer surgeons. You can also try the method below (even if is not a recovery Disc... it should install Windows Vista on the computer), Paul Tikkanen has stated in that thread Danah entited "Windows Vista recovery disc".

"If you can still read all 25 characters of the Vista product key on the COA Microsoft sticker on the bottom of your PC, you can make your own Vista installation disc that should at least get an operating system reinstalled on your PC.

You just download the 3 files you need on the link below and read all the instructions to create a Setup bootable DVD disk using imageburn.

Do not take into account the part of the text in the first screen shot about "extract the files in the folder of Vista."

The files were extracted already in this folder when you ran the X14.exe file by reading the text on top of the first screenshot.

The other thing I noticed is on the 4th page, where it shows Developer ID Microsoft Corporation. I had to type Microsoft Corporation in me, and then the other codes already filled in.

When I went to compile the ISO file, ImageBurn gave a message on a WIM file, file and ISO, and if I wanted to burn it in a different format.

I selected no, make the ISO file.

It was not so hard to do. I burned both the disk of 64-bit and 32-bit disk in case I ever need them.

I tested both of them on my hp dc7100 CMT PC desktop computer, they worked perfectly.

When you enter the product key, he knows which version of Vista you have.

    http://en.community.Dell.com/support-forums/software-OS/w/microsoft_os/3317.2-3-Microsoft-Windows-v...

After you install Vista successfully, you can then install the drivers for your PC and driver page support.

Congrats on the upgrade to Windows Vista. Ships of packaging at retail product on DVD with 32-bit edition software, but two forms of communication are available to meet your specific needs:

If you have read the information above it on this site Web, the offer is for a license of Vista at RETAIL .

Your Dell preinstalled vista is an OEM license and is NOT eligible for this offer.

If you want 64-bit Vista, you will need to buy it.

32bnit to 64 bits is made by doing a clean install with a FULL 64 bit DVD/license vista.
