Need vista or ISO discs

Customer has multiple gateways license stickers having but no media. Gateway offers only a restore dvd, which does not repair. These several PC all them have Vista Home Premium.

Looking for media to make tech support work with. In one case, the PC will not open windows due to a virus infection and needs no destructive re - install, if possible.

No store here carry disks of Vista OEM more. And that's what I'd be willing to buy (with a license), just to get the media to use with existing licenses.

Can anyone help?

To do a Vista repair installation, it must be running.

He is from in a Vista operating system.

If you are a Tech, you should know that.

If you do not have a DVD of Microsoft Vista, borrow one from a friend.

Read this tutorial on how to do a repair installation:

http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/88236-repair-install-Vista.html

And NO, Microsoft does not Vista DVD for you to work with.

Microsoft is no longer sell Vista.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.

Read all the info on the website on how to create and use:

http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/

ISO Burner:http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html

It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.

You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.

It is NOT a disc of resettlement.

And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.
There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
See you soon.
  • How can I re - install vista without the disc, because I only have the key encoded on the computer.
    How can I reinstall vista without the disc and remove windows 7 (an illegal version) also without the disc. I have only the original vista coded key stuck on the computer when the vista system installed on the purchase of the computer. My daughter was not happy with vista and had someone to install windows 7, which turned out to be an illegal version.
    Hello
    If you have a recovery partition likely has been cleared by installing Windows 7.
    You can try the recovery partition, no guarantees.
    There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.
    You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.
    They should do this for a small fee.
    To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:
    You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:
    How to change the Boot order in BIOS:
    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm
    "How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246
    And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.
    The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)
    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.
    Ask them to the proper key sequence.
    Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.
    If this happens, you may need to try this instead:
    You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.
    Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.
    And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs
    And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.
    And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.
    No - what are the two Acers come with a recovery disk?
    If this is not the case, one of them would have a recovery partion, which specifically is to reinstall the operating system on it.
    With an Acer, you press Alt + F10 at startup to start the recovery process.
    All data are lost when you do the above.
    And for the lost disc, contact Acer and ask them to send you recovery disks.
  • need vista on my sl 500
    last week my SL500 fell from my office... nothing happened, but my HARD drive broke. Thank God I still have a backup of important files on my server.
    now to my problem. I have three win XP downgrade disks and no disk Vista. I just got a recovery on my broken HARD drive partition, so I can now only install win XP on my new hard drive. Ive done this and that my battery got a helping hand... but I have the habit of vista and is now xp simply boring... I want vista back!
    somehow can I download a bulletin from microsoft (I have a company key legal vista) or lenovo or what I need to order a disc and pay full price?
    I also tried a few versions "torrent" and enter my legal key, but vista wont install all drivers and recognize all the components...
    any advise?
    You need of course a recovery media for your machine, you will not pay the full price, but rather a service and handling charges at worst.
    Hi the prey,
    ·         What is the brand and model of the computer?
    You should check the settings of the computer BIOS (Basic Input\Output System) to boot from the CD/DVD. Check the manual or the support of the computer Web site for the same.
    Note: Be careful when you change the BIOS settings. The BIOS interface is designed for advanced users, and it is possible to change a setting that can prevent your computer from starting properly.
    Run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor to see if your computer is compatible to install Windows 7.
After changing the cables, jumpers, the bios settings to show as the master I am using the Windows XP disk, I try to put in place.   • How to create a Vista 64 installation disc, in preparation for a windows 7 UPGRADE?
    I'm about to buy a 64-bit Windows 7 UPDATE.  My Toshiba laptop came with a Vista 64 operating system CD.  I know there is a patrician who has this info.
    How create a Vista 64 installation disc if (God forbid) I never do a regeneration full of my system?
    You must contact the manufacturer of the computer for this procedure - it's their process, not Microsoft.  Procedures vary by manufacturer and sometimes even depending on the model.  The information can be displayed on their Web site, if you are looking for that specific computer - but if available and free, I would just contact support by phone or chat or however and the explanation directly from a human being.  Often only make a set of disks, so don't forget to do things right the first time.
    I hope this helps.
    Good luck!
    Hello
    Sorry do you need exactly? Do you need disc recovery Toshiba or d you must have Microsoft Vista disk?
    The serial key you found at the bottom of the unit belongs to the preinstalled Windows operating system and will NOT work by using different Windows disks.
    You have two options;
    Either you buy the here Toshiba Recovery disk:
    https://backupmedia.Toshiba.EU/landing.aspx
    Or you buy the original disc of Microsoft Vista and will use the drivers provided by page European driver Toshiba
    There is no other solution.
  • Need an instalation own Vista - no recovery disc
    Hello
    Short version: I would like to have a clean install of Vista Business disc, not only the recovery media. I paid for the license (supplied with the notebook), and Microsoft has confirmed that I am entitled to it. But it is supposed to be provided by Toshiba. I contacted the store where I bought my laptop - they refused!
    Long version: I have problems installing updates for Vista on my laptop (Dungeon errors). I contacted the technical support from Microsoft, we have tried to implement everything, but he only worse (got blue screen several times, lost her!). The last option they offered was to do an Inplace upgrade. To do that I need the installation media for Vista. I don't want to (and can not) format the hard drive around and lost all my data. As I said, Microsoft has confirmed that I have the right to have the installation disc, but my store doesn't provide me with one. Such a drive will be useful also later - I don't want to format all partitions on every time that something goes wrong with Vista.
    Can you please tell how to get the disc?
    Two questions: 1. If I get the installation disk, the recovery media works as well? I want both, just in case where...
    2. what happens if I download the operating system, somewhere on the internet (just to make this direct upgrade)? Would this work? If I can download any version or should it be i.e. OEM version?
    I'd appreciate any help really. The system becomes worse and worse.
    Thank you!
    Hello
    of course, they refused. It does not matter what you told Microsoft. They are only the manufacturer of software and they sell the license to Toshiba that sells for you when you buy a machine of Tosh.
    Thus, they also offer an operating system OEM preinstalled, which applies to the license on your machine, but only to this recovery. This is called licensing.
    Never heard of him? -> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/License
    Or heard talk of OEM? -> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Original_equipment_manufacturer (Please read the text with the title "Operating systems")
    So, you think Toshiba owes you a disc of original and authentic of the operating system that was preinstalled on your system?
    No, negative. They don t. And you won´t get a disk, it is a fact, because you ALREADY HAVE a DRIVE WITH a WORKING OPERATING SYSTEM.
    If you want to have a system to obtain another copy of Windows Vista with it s license and install this. The recovery works by the way, no matter if you install Linux, MacOS or Windows of non-recovery.
    Welcome them
  • Need help finding a disc of Windows 7 ISO image for my lenovo sl510
    I bought a lenovo sl510 ThinkPads that was running windows 7 pro. I decided to upgrade to windows 10 and now I have problems with my system. Driver Bluetooth installs and a few other issues, including late development. He came with a boot disc and I was not able to switch back because of missing files. I have the key but need to do a clean install and start over. Guessing that I need the drive windows 7 image pro to do. Any help would greatly be apprectiated. Thanks in advance.
    Thanks for the info. And what you ended up doing was a great idea. It seems that many people have had the same problem, I'll have after the upgrade. For some reason any Microsoft has made sure the windows 10 operating system installs and hides the files needed to return to the original operating system. Just my opinion of coarse. Well, after countless hours to a dead end, I paid 45 bucks for lenovo for a recovery disc. Decided it was my easiest way to make sure that all my programs and drivers were already there. I'm looking forward to our days. Laughing out loud. Thanks for the tips.
