NEITHER LS CAN map with SJA1000

Hello

I use card PCMCIA 2 of the series low speed CAN with SJA1000 transceiver to communicate with a SHIELD with a transceiver MCP2551.

But when I try to communicate with the ECU using CAN Api in LabVIEW it says there is error of the transceiver.

What could be the problem... ??

I'm cluleess...

I use NI CAN 2.5.2 and LabVIEW 8.5

I checked the ECU sends messages CAN, but I'm unable to read through LabVIEW.

Help!...

Smitha,

First of all, we need to straighten a terminology: the SJA1000 is the CAN, not the transceiver controller.  The Low Speed CAN Interface uses a transceiver TJA1054A. The controller handles the transmission and receipt of messages; the transceiver works at the bit level, moving the digital signal levels from the SJA1000 for the levelsfound of more high voltage on the CAN bus, among other things.  A quick search on Google reveals that your transceiver MCP2551 is actually a high-speed CAN transceiver, not a CAN transceiver low speed.

The low speed of CAN will interface does not work with this SHIELD because it uses different termination, where the trasnceiver error.

Fortunately, you can change the transceiver on the PCMCIA-CAN interface.  The transceiver is the small black box at the end of the dongle, and you can change these dongles for the correct high-speed CAN interface.  You can get these dongles here. You will need the HS/HS variety (or a HS/LS if other devices low speed to use on the other port).

    Hello

It is perhaps not necessary to map contacts but in case you need activity report too, so it must be mapped.

  • Home network Windows 7 and XP: can map drives etc network but not to synchronize OneNote

    Hi all

I have a Windows 7 laptop and a desktop XP SP3, all connected with happiness to a wireless router. On both machines, I have the very underrated and generally wonderful notes 2007, which I rely on for the study. I'm reasonably texh-savvy, but I don't know what I don't know, so it is very likely I missed something very obvious.

I can update my OneNote notebooks on the Win 7 to XP machine fine machine, but the Win 7 machine does not update the notebooks on my XP machine without asking for a password.

    I checked the following:

    • They both share the same group, the WORKING group.
    • The OneNote Notebooks folder properties have 'action' and 'allow other users to update' boxes ticked on the tab share
    • The Windows 7 laptop can 'see' the Office XP on the network, but by double-clicking on the icon on desktop XP asks for a password
    • When you look at the map of the network, the XP machine is nestled on the corner and not shown to be 'joined' to the router
    • Portable Win 7 I can map a network drive by using the IP address to a shared folder on the XP machine and move files without any problem
    • "File and Printer Sharing" on the Panel of control-> connections-> 'Properties of the wireless network' network is checked
    • Both machines have static IP addresses
    • I don't put passwords for each machine
    • My computer-> tools-> Folder Options-> enable Simple file sharing is checked
    • Guest account is enabled on the XP machine
    • Password protected sharing is DISABLED on the Win 7 machine

I suspect that there is something that I have not checked/unchecked somewhere on my XP machine.

Why is the Win 7 computer phone harassment me a password when you try to synchronize a OneNote or click the icon under 'network '?

Y at - it an exhaustive list of things that I should check or an article somewhere that covers this? I googled loads, but only have mounted artuicles cloud sharing with OneNote 2010 and sharing of files between Windows 7 and XP, nothing on a password is requested during the synchronization of the OneNote files!

Thanks in advance for your help. I know the legacy tech support is a royal PITA, and I promise you that I will be upgrading to a more sensitive setting when I have the dosh, but in the meantime, I would appreciate some advice! :)

    Hi dogsolitude_uk,

    Follow these methods.

Method 1: Follow the steps in the article.

Networking of computers running different versions of Windows

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/networking-home-computers-running-different-versions-of-Windows

Method 2: Temporarily disable the security software.

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable the antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network at the time the anti-virus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

  • I can map a network drive by using the appropriate credentials, but access is denied (by default local account for navigation)

I have a laptop running XP SP3.  If I connect locally to the laptop and you try to map a network from a server drive on my network, it invites me for a username and password that I offer and the player must then be mapped.  The problem is that when I click on the new player, I get an access denied message.  It tries to connect to the share with my local account that has no access privileges.  Previously it tempt me a username and password, but apparently, I changed some security settings and it doesn't do this more.

The same thing happens if I use the command net use.  I can map the drive by providing an appropriate user name and password, but I can't browse it in windows Explorer.  I really want to understand the context that controls if you get a prompt when you access a resource on the network.  I think that it is related to the setting of security strategy for network access: sharing and security for local accounts.  I played a bit with it, but in vain.

I realize that I could probably add an account with the same username / password for my local account on the server and give access to my file shared.  I don't want to do that.  I have several users who share the laptop and access the local account access (I realize this is not ideal, but it is inevitable at the present time).  I don't want to have access to this network share.

Can someone help me get my login prompt?  I searched on google for the last 2 days trying all kinds of suggested solutions, but I couldn't find one that works.

Too bad... I was hoping that was the problem.  But at least it now asks you a name of user and password :-)

Apart from that, you could look to make sure that NetBios over TCP (NetBT) is enabled on the client.  Deactivation of this force a direct hosting of SMB which sometimes has problems.

"Hosting of SMB over TCP/IP direct".

Your latest comments seem to point to a followed initial connection or bad connect more or maybe you is not authenticated as expected.  A few quick tests, I did showed that if you connect using TCP/IP address instead of the computer name and specify everything, including the scope of user name online net "use", it reduces the network traffic needed to establish a connection.  As a test on a client, from a command prompt, try a syntax such as:

    NET use * \\192.168.1.10\share /user:192.168.1.10\username password

Where "192.168.1.10" is the IP address of the server, 'share' is the name of the action that you want to connect to and "username" is the local user on the server to which you authenticate you.  If you use domain identification information, substutite for "192.168.1.10" domain name in the "/ user:" part.  If you log to a local account server from a name of user and password graphic prompt, try to including the name of the computer and the user name in the user name as in Nom_ordinateur\Nom_utilisateur area.  If it does not, unless there is really something wrong with the access permissions, I'm out of ideas.

    Good luck

  • LOV mapping with point

    Dear all,

I have a LOV which is mapped to two elements (employee no., name of the employee) and it works very well, as expected, but the LOV is get extracted only in the "employee name" point when I put the made at the point of 'Self-employed' property as False.

I mean when I select any value from the LOV and save the recording, it is only to save the value of 'Employee name' with the null value to "Self-employed" (if it becomes "Not an employee").

Is there something that can solve this problem?

    Kind regards... Ashraf

    Hello
