Network adapter is not connected

Hello

I have a virtual machine. After that I turned on the virtual machine, I see that it is not in the network (could not ping the virtual machine).

Then I turned off the virtual machine and then I checked if the virtual machine is connected to the network click with the right button on the VM, change the settings and checked the network adapter.

I noticed that the 'plugged in' is not checked.

So, I checked it in order to make 'connected' and then under tension. But when I tried to verify by checking the status of the device by right clicking on the vm, change settings, she is again automatically unchecked the 'connected' option and the virtual machine is still off-line.

I am not able to understand why it is always not connected after power on, even after that I connected it several times.

Please take a look at the screenshot for reference.

Please read http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1009103 and make sure that you have available ports on your "VM Network" vSwitch. If this is not you, have a look at the vmkernel newspaper.

  • HP Pavilion dv6t-7000: Ralink RT5390R wireless adapter does not connect to 802.11n network

    I have a HP Pavilion dv6t-7000, equipped with the Ralink RT5390R wireless adapter.  For the life of me, I can't get it to connect to my home network when implemented as 802.11n.  They connect other devices. If I change my router 802.11 g, but no other change, doe HP connect. But if I return the router to 802.11n, HP sees the network, and it correctly identifies as a 802.11n network, but does not connect.

    The router is a D - Link DIR-615 (N300 2.4 ghz)

    Woo-Hoo.

    Found a solution.  Both HP and windows said I had the most current drivers, but this HP forum had a link to a newer driver.  Installed and it worked.

  • My laptop Vista with Atheros AR5007 802. 11 b / g adapter does not connect to the internet using the local area or wireless network connections

    I just bought a new router d-link wireless n for my house.  Connect my Win 7 Desktop, laptop xp to Acer and multitude of other devices, but my laptop Vista with Atheros AR5007 adapter does not connect to internet.  I tried to disable IPv6, defining the name of the network, flushing dns cache, etc..  Nothing will work.  (It would not connect to an another 802.11n router in January either.)

    I get local only on both connections Wi-wired and wireless, no matter what I do.
    I'll send this to my office that I can not connect my laptop to the internet and he does not see the other machines on the network.
    Any suggestions from anyone?  I spent hours trying to solve the problems, now completely stumped.

    OK, here was my fix:

    I tried a lot of things, but they do not work.  I downloaded a 'new' driver of HP - it turns out it was the original with the problem.  I found another one that was about a more recent months, still does not work.  I finally managed to get the atheros.cz driver for my card files.  But they do not have an installation file.  I had to search for each old file in its directory, copy it to another place (to be sure, just in case) and then copy and replace the old file with the new file in the original folder.  Fortunately, there were only 6 files, but it took about an hour and a half.  This isn't a lot of time compared to the 18 or if I was just trying to figure out the problem.  Now, my laptop connects to the internet without problem.
    I had this problem with a router "n" beginning of the year in a hostel.  The guy in the Inn told me that he had seen before once.  It's obviously a common problem with these cards (as seen on the "solutions" online) and Vista.  I'm always hating on Vista after this problem.
  • The network adapter could not establish the connection using the external ip address

    Hi team,

    Please look in the attached files.

    I installed db 11g on my desktop machine (Windows 7, with a local network) and then I created a data source connection in tomcat which was also in the same system and then I deployed my sample web application, everything works fine, I am able to access web applications.

    But once that I kept my system with external IP address (excluding local network of my company), oracle gives these following errors when tomcat start

    Here is the following URL will display the error during the startup of tomcat.

    The network adapter could not establish the connection,

    In these two files, listener and tnsnames ora ora, need to change the configurations if I change the Ip address of the system?

    even I tried my address keeping external Ip instead if host in these two configuration files, yet this does not work.

    any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you.

    Because as I explained - your listener is listening on localhost only. localhost is never accessible to another machine.

    Stop your listener, change the listener.ora to listen to on the real machine name and start the receiver.

    In addition, your tnsnames.ora points to localhost...

    Stop using localhost, unless you only want things to work on the same machine.

    (1) what is the user id you are using OEM fior?

    The user id should have Sysdba and should not be in the role SYSASM.

    (2) in order to check your port

    In server, in the gate of the House, listener, lsnrctl status--> Verify asm instance listed on your listening port.

    Summary of endpoints listening...

    (Check that the PORT and IP information is correct)

    Instance '+ ASM1' READY State, has 1 operation for this service...

    (3) in addition, connect to asm and check the connection

    Show u local_listener and entered into OEM parameter details are correct.

    (4) OEM, I think you add Cluster_ASM.

    Oracle_home_path--> you're grid House

    username--> with sysdbarole

    --> Sysdba role

    Cluster_name--> $GRID_HOME/bin/cemutlo - n

    Service name--> + ASM

    ADD

    NAME: INSTANCENAME

    -Home: HOST1

    listener_HOST-->< show="" parameter="" local_listener=""> exit

    PORT-->

    SID- + ASM1

  • I/o error: the network adapter could not establish the connection: connection to oracle database

    Hello

    I am not able to connect to the Oracle SQL developer database. I said / 0 error: the network adapter could not establish the connection.

    I started the listener, but what I see is, it points to a different IP address instead of the IP address of the host. How to change the name of host or IP address.

    I see that it points to the host name in listener.ora.

    Attached the screenshot

    Can someone help me solve this problem?

    Thanks in advance

    What he says is the listener.ora file is not necessary to start the listener.  If you rename, then start the receiver, then start the db, after a minute or two, the db should automatically register with the listener and then you can make a tnsping or otherwise connect to the database through the listener.

    I'm not entirely sure what's going on with your image, but I can't help but wonder if somehow something is not what you expect with the investigation period, whenever it starts.

    So use lsnrctl status lsnrctl services to see what the listener is the situation and tnsping and ping from the client to see what he thinks.

  • IO error: the network adapter could not establish the connection

    I'm configuration 11.1.2.3 on Windows 2008 using the Oracle database and when I try to configure connection services database and shared registry associated with the House I get the error "IO error +: the network adapter could not establish the connection +" all by filling in the details of the database. Windows Firewall is disabled, database is able to connect through SQL Plus am running, listening for the database service is running and the name of SID and the server have been provided properly. I even used localhost, apart from the name of the server providing the servename and ORCL is the SID. Any suggestions please?

    Usually, if I install on a Virtuelle/portable Windows machine that does not have a fixed IP or a dns entry I install a card closure before installing Oracle and have never had problems, it is established in http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/install.112/e24186/reqs.htm#BABFHCJG

    Hey, Milind,

    Maybe db url is wrong or database is down.

    Test failed: the network adapter could not establish the connection
    could u please tell me all the solutions
    Thank you and best regards

    Usual causes are:

    (a) you have a kind of firewall between you and the DB that prevents the connection
    (b) you use the wrong host/port/sid for your database

  • Problem SQLDEVELOPER the network adapter could not establish the connection

    Hello I have a strange problem with SQL Developer (2.1.63) under Linux (Debian-testing-squeez/sid) version of the version: java java "1.6.0_16.
    Java (TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_16 - b01)
    Java hotspot Server VM (build 14, 2 - b01, mixed mode)

    Java is a debian .deb (sun-java6-jre, sun-java6-jdk).
    Whenever I try to connect to a database running on the remote server, I got error the network adapter could not establish the connection.
    (connection to base and also tnsnames connection)
    Sqlplus on the same machine works very well with the same connection settings, I also try the same SQLDEVELOPER version in the windows box and I had no problem with the connection.

    what I tried:
    1. in the course of running tcpdump eth0 dst db01x-i on the client and I don't got no network traffic going out of the box
    2.i have also tried tcpdump - neither eth0 host 192.168.3.9 and port 1521 on the server database to be sure, but also no traffic
    3. put the database server in/etc/hosts nothing change
    4. change the level of logging of the SQLDEVELOPER, but no significant errors
    5 different versions of the jdbc (ojdbc5.jar, ojdbc6.jar) connector

    I'd appreciate any help in this topic.
    BR and thx Thomas

    This problem is probably with java networks interacting with a new parameter to the default kernel in Debian. Among the bugs identified on this is here - [http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=560056]
    Two things to try, from various bug reports, are
    (1) "echo 0 >/proc/sys/net/ipv6/bindv6only ' and make this change permanent if it works
    (2) edit {sqldeveloper home}/sqldeveloper/bin/sqldeveloper.conf and add the line}
    "AddVMOption - Djava .net .preferIPv4Stack = true '.

  • Pavilion network adapter are not not in Device Manager

    My Pavilion P6330f lost the internal network adapter (no internet connection, adapter are not not in Device Manager).  Is it possible to re-restore/refresh it?  I tried to do a scan to refresh hardware, but it doesn't show any internal network adapter.

    I was able to get back on the network by installing a wireless network adapter via the disk support provided with the wireless USB device and using Device Manager.

    It seems that the internal NETWORK adapter has gone (fried) and I need to install a new NETWORK adapter in one of the expansion slots.  Other options?

    Is this a common problem?

    D.

    No, it is not common, unless your home has experienced a surge\dropout of power or a bolt of lightning. What you are experiencing, this is usually the result of thet.

    Since your office worked five years ago, he certainly provided you a reliable service. You might consider looking for a PC replacement in 2015. SCP last usually about five years before replacement is required.

    Wireless, it's that a good option as no extra wire is a good thing.

    Hello world

    I had the same problem and I solved it by unplugging my pc to the modem, wait about 30 seconds and reconnected. This means that if you do the same thing with your network adapter problem could be solved. Try this option, you will not lose anything
