Networking Vista disabled; IP config utility has a problem
Embarrassing problem, wasted days trying to solve with the help of RoadRunner and SuperMicro technicians without success. Local connect only to the unidentified network (LAN SSA previous Setup) disappeared. RoadRunner tests indicate the NETWORK card is defective (cable modem not seeing NIC); but internally, adapter is ping successfully so SuperMicro says that the adapter is fine! :( No data of IPv6 in the network connection details; Is a local LAN connectivity status IPv4, IPv6 is limited, records the speed at 100 Mbit / s. activity packages sent but no follow-up. Microsoft Security Essentials, not 3rd party anti-virus running. Ran ipconfig to release/restore IPv6, got the error message there is no file. Ipconfig also generates the error message with most of the commands: "configuration utility IP has stopped working. A problem caused the blocking of the program works correctly. "ipconfig/displaydns command generates a file name? The line up is "1.0 ~.ip6.arpa [total: 31 zeros with periods between each of them]. The next line "registration name" has the same string of number zero. Nothing is able to dissolve this barrier. How can I fix?
Ping the network adapter internal network address cannot tell you if the network card works. See if UN-installing and reinstalling, it helps. If it isn't, I suspect that the network adapter is down.

I get this message every time I try to run the Windows backup utility. All the services are rundning according to the instructions of Microsoft experts on the same issue.
Original title: the service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices is associated to him. (0 x 80070422)
Hi Charles,
Welcome to the community Microsoft and thanks for posting the question. I'll certainly try and help you perform the backup.
Until we start could you give us some more information?
1. Since when are you facing the issue?
2. you have any anti-virus installed on the computer program?
3. What are the troubleshooting steps correct you have taken to correct the problem?
4. are you aware of any changes made to the computer before the show?
I suggest you to re check the service as long as this error usually occurs if one of the services required for the backup Windows for work is disabled or has not started.
To check the services, click Start, in the Start Search bar type services , and then press enter.
Please check that the following services are enabled:
-"Remote Procedure Call" (RPCSS) must be active, Automatic.
'COM + Event System"(System events) must beactivated en, Manuel.
-'System Event Notification Service"(SENSE) must be active, Automatic.
-"Volume Shadow Copy" (VSS) must beactivated en, Manuel.
'Microsoft Software Shadow Copy provider' (SWPRV) must beactivated en, Manuel.
Once you make changes according to the above specifications, you can try a backup and check to see if that solves the problem.
I also suggest you to run a SFC scan (System File Checker). This will replace the corrupted Windows files.
Here are a few articles on Windows backup.

Remove or replace the name of the network (Vista, wired to the router)
I have 4 computers on my network home (a new laptop and Windows 7 desktop computer and an older laptop and desktop Vista, which are replaced - laptops are wireless). I had a LOT of problem with printer sharing, especially after a reboot printer goes offline, and I can't find any way to get them back another remove printers and reinstalling (disappointment, disappointment, disappointment) online. And then I started having problems with one of the Vista (cables to the router) computers access the computer Windows 7 new, also wired to the router.
Then I will begin first with the last problem. Trying to get the old wired Office Access/recognize the new desktop windows 7 Wired, I ended up resetting my fairly new Linksys router e2500 to its factory setting - and in the process gained a new network name. I finally understood how to get the laptops wireless to recognize the new network (should be easy, but it wasn't), but the old wired Vista insists on the use of the former name of network, one that appears in the network and sharing Center implementation. The other funny thing is that even though she seems to be using the former name of network, I put on Jack autour with her so I don't have Internet access on my old Vista computer.
I guess that because it is trendy, it seems not to worry about the network name, but it's bothering me because it's not fair. However, I can't find any way to delete the old name of network. I spent the day on that and am still confused. Baffled because it is working and baffled because I can change the name. I also get a lot of mistakes "Windows cannot access \\myWindows7computername" when I double click on the name displayed in the network folder of Windows Explorer (probably more serious problem). In any case, I want to address what should be first the problem of easire.
I discovered enabled network, public folder sharing, which transforms file on the computer discovery and Vista network, sharing the printer and sharing active files (but only on the printer and all the other things of file not checked), and sharing files public computer to Windows 7 (the one with the printers connected to it) - and passwords disabled on both (all computers).
So my first question is how to make the network name on the Vista desktop wired old deleted/changed/replaced for the new name of the current network. Why it does not insist in using the former name of network that no longer exists.
Ron in round rock
Sorry about that, but I got my answer from another forum, a Linksys Forum - and I will talk about a few things in case other people have this problem/question.
To remove the network name that appears on the Network Center and sharing, click on the link to customize to the right of the network type - and on the next screen, click on merge or delete network locations, you will / should be able to remove (don't know what fusion done or means) the network with the wrong name, EXCEPT that you can't remove it If it is being used (which is / was the problem I had). When I unplugged the cable between the computer and the router, I was able to remove the network location (the one with the old name of network), I tried to get rid of.
Now for the confession. All this has nothing to do with the name of the network - and most of the things in my original post is just smoke also. I was going down the wrong path. It turns out that with computers connected to a router, there is only one network involved and you can call it anything you like and it will work. There is no selection of a network involved as in the case of a wireless network.
Network with wired computers name is determined lby network name "you enter" on the screen to customize network settings, the screen you get when you click Customize on the screen of the Network Center and sharing - and you can type in anything you want here. I'd so go through all this. I simply had to re - enter the network name on the screen to customize network settings, that is simply a name that you can use for your own reference.

Network Vista and XP - connection to the network printer problem
I try to print to a network printer connected to a vista from a computer xp machine
Two computers on a network
Vista machine is connected through the ethernet card and has a connected printer
XP machine is via wireless networkBoth machines have the same network name "mshome".
Open ports on the firewall and also left Software FirewallWhen I print a job, I see it be wound on the info from the printer on both machines, but then, it is automatically deleted.
I am able to access the hard disks from two computers
The printer works this way, when you share a printer between XP and Vista where the printer is connected to Vista, XP will communicate with the printer and its drivers Vista.
So as I suspected it was due from pilots, in your case XP will be offered 64 bit readers which it does not recognize
If we rely on the printer connected to the Vista 64-bit operating system operating system 32-bit, we need to install the additional drivers (especially the XP must be with 32 bits, only 32 bits of the operating system will not show if it's 32-bit or 64-bit)
So in this case, you must right click on the printer on Vista and go to the sharing tab, and then click additional drivers, it will be the operating system and Version to select and you will need to select Windows XP x 86 and install the drivers
Now your Vista will be the 32-bit and 64-bit drivers installed. Now, when you share the printer, when the Contacts XP Vista, Vista has drivers and it will be able to share the printer correctly. Anish

I get a message saying that the program cannot be started because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it - what it means and how to fix this?
Hello
· Since when are you facing this problem?
· Remember to make changes to the system until the problem occurred?
· This problem happens for all programs and services or program individual or service?
Method 1:
It sounds like this the file associations on the computer are not set correctly.
See the below Microsoft article available tool and run the fix.
When you run an .exe on a Windows Vista-based or Windows 7 computer file, the file may start another program
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/950505
Method 2:
This problem may also come from Virus/Malware infection on the system.
I suggest you to run the Microsoft Safety Scanner and check if that helps resolve the issue.
The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.
Note:
The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

You are using a router that is easier or making an ad hoc network?
Leave a message from Bob Cerelli:
The bases for troubleshooting are:
1. make sure that you have the same (e.g., 192.168.0.x) intellectual property regime.
2 make sure you have the same mask subnet, gateway, and DNS IP addresses.
3. make sure you can ping the IP address of the other computer. Failure, just to test, make sure that you disable XP as well as any other firewall.
4. make sure that you can test other computers by name.
5. make sure that you have the same workgroup name (note the spaces)
6. for purposes of troubleshooting, turn off XP and completely uninstall any other firewall software. You can always add more complexity once get you it working.
7 with XP, make sure you have the same user name and password that the person by connecting to other computers. The default setting for XP Pro is to require a password for network access.

When I try to open security as Malwarebyte Anti-Malware programs or open Control Panel, security, device management and several other items in the Panel I get the message "the service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices is associated to him." I started windows in safe mode and ran Malwarebyte Anti-Malware and McAfee and a Trojan horse has been deleted, but I still get the message on several applications when I try to open them. I tried to set up another account, but when I go to the Panel, user accounts and family safety and try to select Add / delete user accounts, I can't seem to open. When I click on it nothing happens. Any ideas would be appreciated!
Virginia lace:
I finally solved the problem - I went in Safe Mode W/Networking and then on Windows Installer and Windows Installer of Module (and other things as well as unforunately that I remember). In any case - if worse comes to the worst, go to Mode safe mode w/network and pull up your Windows Services, then just turn each window / Microsoft service on which you can (set to start automatically) - orrat less start with Windows Installer Windows Installer of Module and see if that solved the problem. -

Transfer Vista Business on XP Pro computer.
I have a desktop computer with Vista business I want to upgrade to Windows 7 and install Vista on a laptop that has XP Pro but is Vista capable.
Hello
If you use the Vista licence as part of the upgrade to Windows 7 you cannot use the license of Vista anywhere elsewhere
It is part of the upgrade process
and also read this on licensing rules;
If Windows was preinstalled on your computer, Dell, HP, etc., or you bought an OEM/license disk, they are both classified as an OEM license and are not transferable.
The Windows OEM license is linked to the original computer it is installed on and dies with the computer.
You cannot transfer it to another computer/laptopIf a retail Windows license, you can transfer it to another computer/laptop.
But it can only be installed on one computer at a time.A single license is a single Installation.

Wireless network is disabled by the hp connection manager after hibernation, sleep etc.
Wireless network is disabled by the hp connection manager after hibernation, sleep and sometimes when I use the computer. I can't see preferences in HP Connection Manager to fix this, or Windows power management.
What is the solution to keep the network wireless activated ALL THE TIME?
Edition of the HP Connection Manager does not work, so I can't activate wireless again!
My computer:
HP ProBook 4530 s (new)Windows 7 Pro (included with the computer)
No other power or utilities wireless isn't installed, just the HP utilities installed at the factory.
In the hope of a quick solution.
Thanks in advance.
-Mikael Noerrelund, Denmark
There is a setting in Connection Manager > Preferences > power to the device , which CAN be assigned to turn off the wireless / Bluetooth when you have left the connection manager. You must Select / SET parameter. You can see, just in case... I never heard talk of the Connection Manager turn off wireless, unless it was to make it to the exit.
You can do the following in the Device Manager to leave the power to the wireless and Bluetooth devices:
Control Panel > display icon > Device Manager > network adapters >
Right click on the WiFi link (Intel) (wording may vary) >
in Properties > Powermanagement >
Clear the check BOX "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".
Ok
Do the same for Bluetooth...
I hope this helps...

I tried to understand this and have failed so far.
Using the Control Panel, system and security, backup and recovery. Click the backup set,
Pop up - select where you want to save your backup. I select the 4 TB drive that I just
put in my system (and the recommended player). I click Next, and then select Allow me
Choose and click Next. The next window - what you want to backup? Data files are already
selected by default, and then I select the disc Local (c), include an image of disk system: EFI system
(C) partition is already checked by default. Click on next, the next window - see your back to top
settings, click on save settings and run the backup and that's what I have.
The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has not enabled
associated devices, (0 x 80070422
I checked the services which apply to Windows backup and tried the auto configuration instead of
Manual.
I tried this search on the Internet and so far all I've found is not
fixing the problem.
Original title: set up backup Windows does not.
Thank you for your help. I fixed the problem I had. It was caused by the settings in the
Samsung magician optimization settings. Recently, I had put in a Samsung SSD EVO 850.

My network card on my Inspiron 1750 has stopped working suddenly.
My network card on my Inspiron 1750 has stopped working suddenly. I left the computer, while I was working online, went for about 2 hours, and when I came back, I wasn't online more. I can't reconnect to the internet. I was on the phone with the cable operator for two hours Tuesday night, and they said that I probably need an updated adapter. My computer tells me it is good, but then again, I can't connect to the internet to check. I tried an ethernet connection, but it is not recogniziing either. What should I do?
