New additional break line when a record has a field that contains characters of new line

Hello

I have problems to queue a file without blank lines. I noticed that the problem is THAT SQLPLUS is extra line breaks just after returning from a recording that has the characters of new line in. See screenshot below:

Note that there is an extra line break after recording that says "multiple multiple line1 & line2".

Is there a parameter of SQLPLUS that I can use to get rid of the extra line? If not, what are the other options that I can use to get rid of him.

I can't really use sed UNIX because there could be a field that contains a blank line.

Note also that I need the data remains the same, in other words, I need to keep the new line characters in the column

SQL Plus adds a record separator (default empty line) when the column value is wrapped.

You can change the default value to observe behavior.

Here are the test data

SQL> select rownum, str from test;

    ROWNUM STR
---------- ----------------------------------------------------------
         1 line1
         2 line2
         3 line3
           line4

         4 line5

Now, change us the record separator to dot

SQL> set recsep wrapped
SQL> set recsepchar "."
SQL>
SQL> select rownum, str from test;

    ROWNUM STR
---------- ----------------------------------------------------------
         1 line1
         2 line2
         3 line3
           line4
.....................................................................
         4 line5

And if you do not want a record separator you can just disable

SQL> set recsep off
SQL> select rownum, str from test;

    ROWNUM STR
---------- ----------------------------------------------------------
         1 line1
         2 line2
         3 line3
           line4
         4 line5

    Whenever I try to access a folder in the Bridge CS6 containing a GIF file, bridge breaks down.

    Moving the file in the folder (with viewfinder) stop the occurrence of the accident. I tried with several different GIF files, different ages, with or without animation. Any GIF file causes crash in ANY folder. Very frustrating that I cannot use the bridge to use no matter what file with a GIF file inside.

    I use Bridge CS6 5.0.1.21 (CC) on a Mac with os x 10.8.2.

    Seen another post suggesting using the 32-bit version instead of 64-bit, but it's a Windows thing.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    CS6 bridge crash when opening any file with a GIF in it for me too. I disabled all the scripts in the preferences, and it crashed is no longer. Then I activated the scripts one at a time and tested the behavior. Bridge not crash each time. When all the scripts have been activated, he has not yet crash. Do not know what has been fixed, but a script was probably corrupted and when recharged to run at startup. That's my guess. Hope this works for you also.

  • cannot record copy that contains "#" using branching

    Hello everyone - I use APEX 4.1 and have implemented a "Record copy" button that copies the selected fields from the folder to the same page to create a new record. This is done by using branching (had the idea of this forum!) and in defining the elements (for example, P2_NAME, P2_ADDRESS1, P2_ADDRESS2, etc.) with these values (by example, & P2_NAME, & P2_ADDRESS1., & P2_ADDRESS2, etc...)

    It has worked perfectly in other APEX applications - up to present. The problem is that the new database contains several fields that contain the character ' # '. When the character ' # ' is detected during the copy process, all data after the # is not copied (but all the data before the # are copied OK).

    Is there a way to get around this? Remove the characters ' # ' is not an option, because it is part of many manufacturer part numbers that follow us.

    Hi Gail, so if they are database columns, I think you must have a DML search process in there to fill in as in page 30 you have to edit the line.
    Fix?

    If this is the case, then I think loaded the items in the collection, then your DML process happens and as 'THIS' line does not exist, the page elements get eliminated from the DML extraction.

    Change to the Source used to load items ONLY when NULL would correct that. You can, of course, that the link from Page 30 to 31 to change also clears the cache on page 31.

    So to change it:
    -Link to page 31 of 30 and clear the cache on page 31.
    -Pass the ID of your line on page 30 to P31_ID?
    -the collection does not exist so nothing happens in the header after process
    -the DML process runs and support items because they are null, and row data exist.
    -make changes, the changes apply
    OR use the copy button, that:
    -Submit page
    -Process captures the fields necessary for collection
    -Creates a branch to 31, clear the page cache
    -Runs in Process, research collection, load the page elements.
    -DML process works but does not affect the page elements because the Source is used only when the page element is null
    -Form appear with elements of pages loaded.

    FWIW, assuming that when you check in a copy and the elements of the page is deleted, your key (P31_ID?) column is also set to NULL, you could put a condition on the process DML to run only if the element of the page P31_ID is NOT NULL, which would cause the LMD to be ignored process and elements of the page to keep their value from the loading of the collection.

    For the new record of recording/empty if the user tries to access any field, then cursor won't allow access this field. It will go to the first field in this block navigation or you use any variable as trigger_item/current_item system, etc. You can test when you click on any field cursor will go with force to the first field of navigation of this block. So in the case you always it will return A FIELD, which is correct. If the cursor remains on the field, then it will return this the name field that you can test for all previous records by accessing any field at random.

    If you have no control to each source PK (correct me if I'm wrong) I could suggest:

    in the case of the source and the target be on separate servers:

    (1) create an interface for the temporary table (interface yellow) with all PK of source
    (2) create a procedure (a KM could be personalized so strategic occurs at several tables) to remove the target where a target PK "not there" into the temporary table.

    in the case of the source and the target to the same server, simply create the procedure.

    Please specify if the error occurs for the new absence request or old pending the approval of absence request.

    As mentioned by you, it seems that the issue may be that user attempts to approve the application of absence already deleted. Whenever the user asks for approval of entry without it will be notified to the approver. But before approval by the approvers if we delete the entries, that the absence entries will be deleted, but the workflow, entries will still be status pending. So whenever we remove all "Transaction approval pending", it is advisable to complete or cancel the corresponding workflow transaction also.

    Here in your case, please delete or put an end to the application for approval of error and check in the workflow monitor that any pending transaction exists. If then also remove and re-enter the absence request. Please try and let us know if it works.

    Change your router password AND the password to the router by default if you think he has been compromised (and you need to change all of your computers that use it as well because otherwise they will not be recognized once you change the settings of the router).  If your router is not configured properly (or if it is, but you feel nervous anyway), this is the solution.

    First of all, make sure that you're connected Administrators account to do.

    How to change a drive letter to change an existing drive letter on a drive, on a partition, or a volume, follow these steps:

    1. Sign in as an administrator or as a member of the Administrators group.
    2. Click Start , click run and type compmgmt.msc .
    3. In the left pane, and then click disk management .
    4. Right click on the drive, the partition, the logical drive or volume that you want to assign a drive letter to and then click change drive letter and paths .
    5. Click change .
    6. Click assign the following drive letter if it is not already selected, click the drive letter that you want to use, and then click OK .
    7. Click Yes when you are prompted to confirm the drive letter change.

    The letter of the drive, partition, or volume that you specified is changed, and the new drive letter is displayed in the appropriate drive, partition, or volume in the disk management tool.

    Hi all

    I cut that a report in two "Current" and "Previous" and report selector is used to select. The report works very well. But I want to display the message "No Results" when no records are on the criteria. The report is currently display 'Empty' when not responding not criteria.

    1. create two dummy report (consider Dummy_1 and Dummy_2). In the column's formula gives the variable of the presentation of the report Selector(consider the prompt is having values Previous and Current) prompt.

    2.Dummy_1 apply the previous filter (it returns a single line when you select date in the report selection prompt)

    3.Dummy_2 apply the current filter (it returns a single line when you selectCurrent in the report selector invites)

    4 have only two first section with this report and others with the previous report

    5 give the hinding section as below

    (i) Dummy_1 > 0 1 previous report section

    (II) Dummy_2 > 0 section 2 current report

  • Error in Popup when inserting record management

    I use JDeveloper 11.1.1.6

    My use case has a screen that displays data in a table. On this screen, I have a 'Add' button which when clicked gives the user a popup form in which they can add records. A copy of the popup is attached at the bottom. Here are some notes on the fields in the pop-up window:

    Field1 - part primary key. It already has for the user, so it is read only
    Field2 - part primary key. The user enters a value
    Field3 - doesn't do not part of the primary key, but it is a required value (not nullable)


    The onAddRecordPopupFetchAction() in my grain of support makes a 'CreateInsert '.

    In the window if I enter a valid value for Field2 (does not cause a duplicate key) and fill Field3, when you click OK I go the addRecordDialogOKAction() method successfully in my grain of support.

    The problem I have is that if I get a value for Field2 that is NOT* valid (causes a duplicate key) and fill Field3, when you click OK, I for some reason any no addRecordDialogOKAction() method enter in my grain of support. Instead when you click OK, the app is to determine that a duplicate key is causes and Field2 is highlighted with the error.

  • problem when inserting record empty.

    Dear all,

    I have following taskflow structure

    run (master)
    CreateInsert (retail)
    pagefragment

    the fragment of my page has 1 master record... 1 detail record. (which would be an empty except pk and fk generated from viewlink)

    When the user registers (validation action click on) the master save... but the child doesnot saves
    empty what I noticed, is that when I go into any field in af:table (detail) it allows to save... but I want to insert the record in the database.

    Any ideas... ?

    This is considered normal behavior. Read ' 27.4.5 what you need to know to create and CreateInsert' http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E16162_01/web.1112/e16182/web_tables_forms.htm#CHDEJAGC that explains exactly that.
