New administrator account lacks the privileges on Windows Store

A friend of mine recently bought a new machine of Windows 8, however she has created a new account to Microsoft rather than use a sound existing account. After adding his account existing Microsoft and he is an administrator on this computer, it has deleted the original of the computer account. When she went to install Windows 8.1 the Windows store, he says that his account needs administrator privileges. His account has administrative privileges already, but which does not recognize the Windows Store app. What can we do to get the app Store of Windows to recognize that his account is an administrator account?

This seems to be a pretty decent solution:

There is a link below to reset the Windows store and there are instructions in the upper part of uninstall and install a specific Windows Update. We will try and report back.

    Original title: Admin account

You must be an administrator, because the first account you create during Setup must be an administrator-level account.  There is also a built-in account (with a current name 'administrator'), but it is disabled, unless you are in Safe Mode (restart hold F8 for safe mode).  As soon as the integrated, you can sign in and upgrade your real account on a daily basis at the level of administrator control panel.

Note: even if you are an administrator, some processes will ask confirmation continue.  This is recommended because it prevents the virus of piracy of your profile and using your account.

Is it better to install Windows 8 'clean' on new PC compared to the upgrade of Windows 7?

    1. I use, for many years, Windows XP and Office 2003.
    2. Now I'm going to buy a new desktop PC for home use

If you have Windows XP, Windows 8 might be bit overwhelming, though, you can familiarise yourself with it. Personally, I'd go with Windows 7 If you can get it.

That's right, you will get support from the manufacturer, because its their equipment. In addition, you can get support here in the forums.

  • How to set up a local administrator account with elevated privileges, but without the rights of local access connection

I want workstation installation a Windows 7 where regular users only have power user rights, because I do not want that they either accidentally change important settings or for malicious to be processes able to run Web sites. However that these will be remote users there maybe times when they need a local administrator account to allow them to perform installation, correction or updating. So, I created a local user account, added to the Administrators group and used the Panel of local security policy and the account added to the list "Deny log on locally '.

It works by refusing the admin account to connect directly. However when I log in under the power user account and run something that requires elevated privileges the admin account is refused to carry out the process.

What is the combination of security settings can I refuse a desktop session Admin account but allows it to be used for processes requiring elevated privileges?

    Thank you!

    Hello

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.
This is quite normal. When you refuse the privileges of local access connection, local users can not use the administrator account information because it is be the local login. So, it is better to create a domain and restrict the use of administrative operations to the administrator.

    Hi KristinMarker,

    ·         Which version and edition of the operating system is installed on the computer?

    ·         Remember to make changes to the computer, after which the issue started?

In the meantime, try the following steps and check if it helps:

(Applicable to limited editions of Windows)

    a. right click on "Computer" (Windows Vista or Windows 7) or "My computer" (Windows XP) and click on 'Manage' to open computer management.

    b. in the left pane, expand 'System tools', and then expand local users and groups.

    c. now click on "users".

    d. in the right pane, right-click on your user name and select Properties.

    e. uncheck "user cannot change password".

    f. click Ok and then close the computer management console.

    I hope this helps.

  • Administrator user accounts: how to move my administrator account to the elevated privileges?

How to upgrade my account administrator high?

There is no 'high' administrator account (except perhaps the top and you should never use for day-to-day administrative tasks - activate only when there is NO other choice).  You can have special rights granted in a standard user, but an administrator has all.  An administrator in Vista is not all rights and access as we did in XP and that is just the way Vista was designed - it's more control over permissions.

What specifically do you want to do that you can't because you don't are not "high"?

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Administrator account has limited privileges

    original title: administrator account

My Windows Vista user account is listed as type of administration.  However, a few changes to the program are not allowed.  Why and how can I obtain the unrestricted privileges.

If you want to run a program with administrative privileges, right-click on the program, then click on "Run as Administrator". This will allow you to do everything you can do as an administrator. To completely disable user account control, follow these steps:

    1. on the start menu, click on 'Control Panel'. Then open user accounts.

    2. at the bottom, it shoul be an option "Turn User Account Control on or off". Until it clicks.

    3. click on 'Continue' or 'Allow' on safety messages. This will disable User it Account Control (UAC).

    This should solve this problem,

  • Unable to get the administrator account, receive the error such as the user profile service failed logon. User profile could not be loaded. "

Original title: "the user profile service has no logon. User profile could not be loaded"and admin password will not work

I had this problem came several times before but it always correct itself without any intervention from myself. Now, even after restarting the computer several times I can not directly connect to my main Administrator profile. I have another profile without administrative privileges already done so I could at least use my computer, but only with limited permissions. When I try to do something to solve the problem, as the registry change, I'm prompted to enter the administrator password. I enter the password and the alert box goes, and nothing happens. Enter the password seems doing nothing, except the aknowledge the password is correct (it warns me when I entered a wrong password so I know it's no doubt receiving data). DOoes anyone know how to fix this? The computer works relatively well recently and have no idea of what decoration could have happened to cause such a mistake that bothers.

Restart the computer using safe mode, and then log in as administrator. The password is by default set to an empty space. You can now recreate your admin account.

When you have finished, try to plan ahead a little. Have a computer with a single administrator account, it's something that compulsive risk takers indulge in. The rest of us sure we at any time two fully tested and documented admin accounts.
