New Apple ID Photo transfer

I am connected to my old Apple ID on my MacBook, but have a different, new ID, apple on my iPhone. I have thousands of photos on my Mac that I'm terrified of losing if I change. Is it possible to transfer my ID apple without them all removed on my Mac. Thank you in advance. John

Why do you think changing the AppleID will remove your photos from the Mac?

Is the library of Photos on your Mac a photo library of iCloud?  If so, you are using "Optimize Mac Storage"?

If you use "Optimize Mac Storage" you must disable this option and download all photos in iCloud photo library, until you switch to a different AppleID to iCloud photo library.  Your Mac has enough free storage to download all photos in iCloud?  If so, download the photos to iCloud and then disable iCloud photo library as described here: https://help.apple.com/photos/mac/1.2/?lang=en#/phtf5e48489c (the last paragraph - stop using iCloud photo library)

Stop using iCloud photo library

Important: If you turn off your iCloud photo library, you will be prompted to choose 'Download this Mac originals' in the iCloud Photos preferences pane, then all your original photos can be downloaded from iCloud to your Mac. Be sure to leave your originals to download before shutting iCloud library completely.

  1. Choose Photos > Preferences, then click on iCloud.
  2. Uncheck the box for iCloud photo library to turn it off.

After having turned off iCloud photo library, the Photos on your Mac app can not access your photos or videos stored in iCloud. The changes you make to photos on your Mac do not appear on other devices, and the new photos you take will not be added to the Photos on your Mac. Your library remains in iCloud and available to other devices than iCloud use photo library.

Once all photos are back safely on your Mac, you can change again for the new AppleID in iCloud preferences and enable iCloud photo library.

  • Transfer of purchases of old Apple ID to new Apple ID

    Hi all

I recently created a new Apple ID and would like to transfer my AppStore and iTunes purchases of old Apple ID. How can I achieve this, or is it possible? The two Apple ID are very different and I tried the update of the old ID to the new ID with no luck.

    * For the new Apple ID because I was pestered by a physical person and he had no way to block their contact information to come into my mailbox. And Yes, I know of these 'Trash' messaging or another address, but I wanted more from having to constantly delete their messages.

It is not possible, all purchases are permanently associated with the account that has downloaded.

Rather than create a new account, you might have updated the primary e-mail address on the account: change your Apple - Apple Support ID

  • Photos does not work in the new Apple TV 4

    Hi all

I got a new Apple TV (A1625 - 32 GB) and it's a great device, apart from a problem. The 'Photos' doesn't work at all. When I go in the Photos, it is showing empty white vignettes with the cloud icon. When you open an image, is to show the rotation icon, but the picture will not be displayed even if I wait for a long time.

Until I take the Apple TV home I tested it at a different location, and it did not work properly, so it seems that the problem is related to my local network.

The Apple TV has the last tvOS (9.1) and I am connected to the network with a LAN cable. My router is a Linksys EA3500 where I configured the DMZ for the Apple TV, but the problem persists.

I appreciate any help to solve this problem.

    Thank you

    Bence

Have you tried disconnecting offshore and on you iCloud account, have you tried rebooting your network router.

  • can photos stored in the News Photos Apple be quickly transferred to Lightroom? I am not at all satisfied with this new Apple "fix."

Loaded and organized more than 1,000 photos in the Photos of Apple news. He has virtually no editing capabilities and will not directly export to Photoshop. Lightroom can import files directly, or I have to start over again? Help! I have an another 3000 to add and do not want to use the new Apple "fix." Help?

    Awesome!

Pulling the captain first of the library of Photos Apple was a brilliant idea. It actually helped me to understand what was not imported in my Lightroom library by control the "do not import suspected duplicates."

Thanks for sharing this trick. I'm not sure I would have thought of it myself.

  • Just bought a new Apple computer. What is the best way to transfer the CS6 and Lightroom

Just bought a new Apple computer. What is the best way to transer CS6 and Lightroom? Both applications have been updated. Should I reinstall it on the Adobe site?

first of all, if you're going to retire this old computer or, at least, no longer use your adobe on this old computer programs, open and click Help > deactivate.

then install your files to your new computer and activate.  If you already have an installation cd, you don't need to download.  If you don't have the installation files, download the trial and activate it with your order number.

  • I have a subscription to CC Photoshop and Lightroom. I bought a new Apple MacBook Pro last week. I had Adobe shadow my computer to download both programs on my computer. Downloads succeeded, but now my problem is that nothing has been transferred?

I have a subscription to CC Photoshop and Lightroom. I bought a new Apple MacBook Pro last week. I had Adobe shadow my computer to download both programs on my computer. Downloads succeeded, but now my problem is that nothing has been transferred? I have photos and user presets on my old computer in lightroom, but nothing transferred. Also, it is show on this computer I have 5 Lightroom, but team support pulled up to my account today and downloaded lightroom cc if it still means something. I am a new photographer and green not computer savvy. I am totally confused with no further assistance from Adobe.

It's pretty normal. All your images are always on your old computer and you transfer those to your new computer. Just transfer them as well as your catalog file and opens in Lightroom on the new computer. For presets, you need to transfer files, preferences and presets that are hidden in folders hidden on the Mac. Therefore, with the Mac, when I update the machines, I'm usually just restore from a backup on the new computer (very easy with Time Machine backups) or directly from the old machine (a little harder). This will give all files and settings and the software installed on the old machine immediately and you can just continue. Is not something that Adobe can really help you with either said by the way, but you might have someone from the Apple Store help you with that, if you are not comfortable with moving files to a new computer.

Cc of Lightroom is simply a version update of Lightroom 5. CC requires a monthly subscription that pay you apparently. You did not use the software you pay for if you use 5 Lightroom on the old machine.

  • I can restore my phone I put in place with a new Apple ID from a backup who had an old Apple ID?

I created a new Apple ID because my only previous has been compromised.  I went through the process of setting up my iPhone as a new iPhone with my new Apple ID.  However, when I plug it into my Mac and launch iTunes, I wonder if I want to set it up as a new iPhone or restore from a previous backup.  Can I restore my phone from a back up that I created before that my account has been compromised?  Or should I continue as a new phone?  It would be a great help to retrieve a large number of my settings but I don't know if he'll try to log into my old Apple ID.

There is no way to transfer the contents of one Apple ID to another, but you'd better retrieve identifier Apple compromised, or the one who took it may rip off all your contacts. See: If you think that your ID Apple has been compromised - Apple supports

  • Edit or create a new apple ID

I had my apple since 2006 ID his wife from my old name.  IM remarried and you want a new apple ID.  When I try to create one it says I can't use @icloud.  What should I use?  and how do I remove the old apple id once I've implemented a new?

    1. you can change the address that is your Apple ID current, provided that it is not an address of Apple (@. mac.com @me.com or @icloud.com); You can change to another address non-Apple (such as you could create a free address). This is the simplest procedure: do not forget that nobody sees the ID address anyway.

If you're going to do this, log out of the old ID on all your devices, first , or you will get problems. You can then connect you back with the new address ID (the ID itself remains unchanged).

    2. you can create a new Apple ID which is also the address of @icloud.com on behalf provided you talk correctly: Please see post imp68 here - Re: I want to transfer my Apple ID on a new iCloud account

Note that if you do this, you will need to create a 'rescue' address that is not an address of Apple; If the only address that apple can contact you in case of problems is the address of the account and you cannot access it, things get complicated.

Of course, you can create a http://appleid.apple.com using a non-Apple address ID, but if you do that you might as well just change your existing.

Also note that if you create a new Apple ID you can not transfer purchases iTunes on the ID from the old to the new.

  • Can I place all my music from my old Apple ID to my new Apple ID?

Hey everybody! So I recently came across a mess with my old Apple ID and it has been disabled for security reasons (I know, very enigmatic), now I have a new Apple ID and all is well, but all of my music for the past almost 8 years on the old ID. No, it isn't. All the content is locked to the Apple ID used for the purchase/download it. You can merge or transfer with an Apple ID Apple can't do it anymore. • My iPod classic is synced to my old pc windows how can I send it to my new apple mac - all my music on iPod is uploaded to this topic via ads and bought on iTunes?

My iPod classic is currently synced on my old windows pc - how can I send it to my new Apple Mac without losing any of my music.  All my music is downloaded from the ads?

If you still have your old PC in working condition, with its iTunes library intact, not to use your iPod to transfer the library to your new Mac.  You transfer your data from user (not just your iTunes data) directly from the old PC to the new Mac.

There is an automated system called Migration Wizard, if your system meets the requirements.  Be sure to have a backup of the data.

    Migration of Windows v1.0.5.7 Assistant

Alternatively, for the part of iTunes, this paper outlines how do it manually, using an external drive.

Manage and backup your iTunes media library - Apple Support

To summarize, the first step is to make sure that all your iTunes data is stored in the iTunes folder ("consolidate"), which is located in your folder music user account.  The second step is to copy this folder iTunes on an external drive, to create a backup.  The third step is to restore that backup the iTunes on your new Mac folder.  Launch iTunes to use data from the old PC iTunes; It looks like iTunes running on your old PC, complete with all the songs (and other types of media) and data, such as reading lists, notes, play count, etc.

Your iPod continues to synchronize with it, because for the iPod, it's the same iTunes library (on another computer).  If you using your iPod as a data source, you add your old data to an iTunes library on Mac.  It is NOT complete.  The iPod sees it as a different iTunes library.  iPods are not designed to be your data from iTunes backup.

However, IF the iPod is now the only place where your songs are stored (and you have no other backup), thanks for posting back.

  • new apple tv questioned

We just bought the new apple tv 4; have an apple tv 2.  What I want to save data or do something special before plugging a new apple tv 4?  Thank you very much

There is nothing to transfer the Apple TV 2 to the Apple TV 4 If that's what you mean. You'll need to no password you used, but it's a matter of just go in them rather than transfer them somehow.
