New E-mail address / are not "sent".

Whenever I have 'send', rejects the Postmaster and there is always an "attatchment" on my email that I didn't put there.  And it is empty.  Or the message itself is sent as an attatchment.  That's happened.  This is a new address.  Thank you.

Are to guess the e-mail yo program do we use? Are we to guess what said the rejection message?

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community forums!

I understand from the description you posted, you need set up e-mail rules in the Mail application.

Outlook is a Microsoft messaging client that has an option to set up e-mail rules.

Check out these links for more information about the Mail application:

  • Windows Live Mail - E-mail which are not sent but I can't find to remove

I was on Facebook and saw a picture that I wanted to send an email to a friend.  I click with the right button on the picture and chose "electronic image".  My form of direct mail jumped upward and in front of it, a sign in the shape of Windows Live Mail.  I clicked out of it I already signed in and used the pop up form - looked exactly like my mail normal and had my contact address for my friend available.  I sent it to my friend.

Since then, I can't send anything to my Live Mail account, and it's one I use all the time.  I get a message that says: cannot send email photo.  But I can't find where to delete to clarify the matter.  There are now 4 emails that cannot be sent as I tried to send a couple to see if it was just the photo email.

The email problem is not in my sent box or my project.  I saw in the application of another person for the help it has "found a shipping box that he did not know he had" but he doesn't say WHERE he concluded that.

I really need to get rid of this email so that I can send my Windows Live Mail account.

    Help, please.

Never mind.  I just found the Outbox - for others - scroll right past all your "envelopes" etc and it's there on the left side of the screen.  Sigh.

    Problem solved.

Good news - I didn't know that this community was so will come by next time when I'm doing something very stupid. Laughing out loud.

  • In writing e-mail, addresses are not sorted for easy selection and often appear in red when found (V31.3).

    A small 'feature '...
Using Thunderbird 31.3.0 on WIndows 7 and Windows 8 (2 different machines).
In the "Write" e-mail window when you try to select addresses from the address book, the address list is not sorted. Type the first letter of the address, the unsorted list is presented, on the typing of the second letter, 2 letters are disaplayed in red. If you scroll the list to find the desired address, it can be selected and the email is sent ok (it shows just the address in red).
    Thank you.

Keep typing. Search now uses 'contains' while in the past he has used "begins by".

Red is a bug and no real consequence as long as you are careful to accept such address offered.

More concern with the current version is that it would have been is not always check the address you have chosen. I don't know what triggers what I was not able to replicate.

    Problems sending messages.

When I click on a link to seend an email to someone, I get an erro message that says that this yahoo mail server can not connect

and my messages are not sent. I have a total of 9 messages that have been blocked.

Do I need to have a pop3 address or can you tell me what is happing.

You must have an account set up under Tools | Accounts | Mail to send from Windows Mail.  If you click on a link, it will not lead you to a webmail interface, but called instead a mail client, such as WinMail.  Around that, the only way is to copy the email address and paste it into a new message you have composed of webmail.

  • How can I create a separate address book? I'm not on a mailing list but an address book where addresses are not mixed with my usual address b

How can I create a separate address book? I'm not on a mailing list but an address book where addresses are not mixed with my address book regularly. I already have three created for me by Thunderbird address books. Add all new addresses to one of those, I'm not afraid to remove the other address books, because some of their addresses are not repeated in my address book "main". So if I delete all the names in one of the existing books, I need to create a blank book that will not mix the addresses with those of an another address book. HOW CAN I CREATE AN ADDRESS BOOK EMPTY? I want to be able to create multiple mailing LISTS using the addresses in this new book, I will eventually have an address book special with a variety of mailing lists, that I can use as I want to.

In the address book, file | New | Address book.

No menu showing "file"? F10 or ALT.

  • The cutting tool are not sent Snip to the e-mail recipient.

The cutting tool are not sent Snip of recipient of mail on Windows Live Mail 2011.  Had worked on earlier versions.  Click on the send Snip button, and nothing happens.

A couple of things you could try.

Launch the tool captures via a right click on it and select 'run as administrator '.

See if the uninstallation and reinstallation of the Snipping Tool makes a difference.

This is a quote from Ronnie Vernon.

"Try refreshing the Snipping Tool installation. This tool is part of the Tablet PC optional components in Windows Vista.

Open Control Panel, click Classic view in the task pane.

    Double-click programs and features.

Click on the 'activate Windows features and turn off' in the task pane.

This window may take a few minutes to display.

When the options appear in the list, scroll to the "Tablet PC Optional Components" and remove the check mark for this element.

Click OK, quit everything and restart the computer.

This allows to uninstall the "Snipping Tool" System.

Once the computer restarts, go back to the Panel and repeat the same procedure.

This time the check box adds the "Tablet PC Optional Components".

This will install these components in the system with a new copy of all the files. »

  • When sending of e-mails from group, those who are 'xtra' addresses are not delivered.

I send newsletters to many different people and have just discovered that all those whose 'xtra' e-mail addresses do not receive their newsletters, although everyone in the group.

They do not receive the newsletter at all, as in not on either their primary address?
Or they receive the newsletter on the main address, but not the additional address?

  • Outlook Express are not sent Bcc

Here we have 5 systems in our network. Each is a Dell or Acer running Windows XP Home or Pro. All systems receive and send through Outlook Express 6 and access the same email address. For several years, I sent emails to several eddresses with our eddress in the "to:" line and eddresses of all recipients in the "Bcc:" line. Recently, I spent this task to another in our network. I showed him how to place our eddress in the "to:" line and eddresses of all recipients in the "Bcc:" line, just as I did this time. When she clicked on send, a message window pops up saying that the message could not be sent because the recipient wasn't in his address book. Most of my recipients is not in my address book, but my messages are always sent very well. Its system will send a message with the recipient eddress successfully in the "to:" line and without the recipient in his AddressBook eddress. When we put a couple eddresses recipients in his address book, then put these eddresses in the "Bcc:" line, the email sent successfully. It would be much more effective if we could send to the Bcc without putting all these eddresses in the address book. What do you think spose we do wrong? All ideas, suggestions and comments will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, K.

Try to go to file | Identities on its system and overall upward a new identity and add your e-mail accounts, and then see if that solves the problem.

  • In my address book, e-mail addresses are repeated over and more, as more than 100 times! What is the fastest way to remove them?

Also, do you know why the rehearsals took place? Address are not ones I use, and I'm happy to remove them completely, but don't know how?

    Open "address book".
Select the address book that contains the e-mail addresses, so that you can see them listed in the right pane of Contact.

If you click on the "E-mail address" column heading, you can sort by e-mail address, so that all the email address are now listed one after the other.

Left click on that to highlight the top
'Shift' key and click the last one - everything else will be highlighted.
Right-click on the highlighted email addresses and select 'delete '.

    How has it happened?
    Good question.
You say that the relevant addresses are not ones I use.
They are in the address book "collected addresses"?

Please search to see if you have all the "Sent" saved messages seem to have used this email address in a 'TO' or 'Reply-to' field. ?

  • Can I change a POP3 account existing IMAP account without setting up a new account requiring a new e-mail address?

The instructions in Thunderbird help advise that it is necessary to get a new e-mail address to set up the new IMAP accouint. I would use the existing e-mail address.

It is simply not true. I have Setup several times the same duplicate in Thunderbird, a POP and an IMAP account.

There are ambiguities about what means 'email account '. In this context, it will be the same email account, but using a different connection to negotiate with the server.

Once you have set up, your email account exists, whether you use it or not. The default value of 'existence' is likely to be in your email provider's website. You have an email address and there is that a supplied server somewhere who is willing to accept messages for you. If this account is added to Thunderbird does not affect its basic existence.

In Thunderbird, we talk about setting up e-mail accounts, but here you make an entry to allow Thunderbird to access your account. So tell you him about your e-mail account and where to connect to the server to use. Thunderbird can make this connection using POP, IMAP, or even both at the same time.

The 'final paragraph' is intended, in my opinion, for those who have had an e-mail account with a single supplier and I now turn to another provider and a new account e-mail (address). This is a warning that if they just delete the old account in Thunderbird, its content will fade. You must keep the content by copying them elsewhere before deleting the account. In fact you don't need to remove the old account , but you will be regularly harassed by Thunderbird complaining about his inability to connect to the server.

Go to file | New | Existing e-mail account, add your account again but let Thunderbird select "IMAP".

Now copy (select, drag-and-drop or use the right-click |) Move to) the content from your old account POP-connected to the new. I'm assuming that you change in IMAP because you want to access your messages from more than one device, so want some, if not all of your accumulated messages visible.

If for some reason you are not able to set up IMAP-connected version until you have deleted or closed the older POP login account, then you can instead store messages from the account based on POPS in Thunderbird local folders, delete the old account POP, then add your account to e-mail again but this time it allows to select an IMAP connection. Then you can move your messages to local folders into folders to the new account.
