New installation View 4 Composer won't find database.

So I can't View 4 deal to recognize my database during installation.  My vCenter running Windows 2008 64 bit with SQL 2008 64 bit.  I am using a DSN with SQL Native Client 10.  The DSN tests very well.  Reading the doc I do not see where the composer says that it is only compatible with Windows 2003 32-bit.  Surely, VMware didn't screw the people who have a fully compatible version OS/SQL with vCenter, but is not supported with the composer.  Anyone else managed with the composer to settle with 64-bit Windows 2008 and SQL 2008 64-bit?

Thank you

-Craig

Hello

You must create a 64-bit DSN, not a 32-bit.

When installing the created DSN is a DSN 32.

So to start, run and then type odbcad32 and then create the DSN.

    Hello

After you have lost your product key shrinks your methods

key finder programs won't asssit you if it is preinstalled

    Here are the different ways let you reinstall vista;

Contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

they do it for a nominal cost of $

also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought

you would normally press F8, F9, F10 or F11 or Alt + F10 or 0 to start to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer

Ask them of the exact key sequence

  • Email records retrieved from a drive Thunderbird crashed. You want to import into my new installation.

Tried to copy/paste the files recovered in profiles/Mail/Local folders in my new installation, but without success. I can't find an option to import messages from a folder. Any ideas? Thank you!

Re: tried to copy/paste the files recovered

Are you sure you are copy/paste the correct data?
Emails are stored in files mbox, no records.
MBOX files don't have any extension.

As an example, in the image below, it states:

    • Inbox (mbox file containing the e-mail)
    • Inbox.MSF (indexing file - no emails)
    • Inbox.SBD (if created subfolders of Inbox. This folder contains more than mbox and indexing of files)

    Note:
Thunderbird should be closed when copy paste or do anything in profile files.

There is also an add-on which is pretty good.
    Download downloads folder or desktop.
    https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Thunderbird/addon/ImportExportTools/

    Install:
Tools > Addons or Menu icon > Addons
Click the gear icon and select "install the addon from file".
Locate the downloaded xpi file and click Open
You may have to restart Thunderbird.

    Right click on "local folders".
Select "Importexporttool" > "import a mbox file".
Select: "import directly one or more mbox files" and click OK
Find the mbox files, and then click Open.

  • Link new installation of thunderbird with the old profile.

I created a new profile and stored on an external drive, there is a certain messages, I just had to reinstall win7 and do not know how to link a new installation of thunderbird with my old profile. Seems fair to get a host of issues that do nothing.

Look at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-tb#w_how-to-find-your-profile and then go to the directory corresponding to your external drive to find your old * *.default file.
Copy your old profile to the directory where your current profile is stored.
See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/using-multiple-profiles to switch to your old GOLD "profiles.ini" edit profile to change the 'path' in the name of your old profile.
    Restart Thunderbird.

  • My PC crashed. Restored on a new record and a new installation of FireFox. I can still access all the files. How do I take the old bookmarks if there is no backup?

My PC crashed. Restored on a new record and a new installation of FireFox. I can still access all the files on the old drive. How do I take the old bookmarks if no backup exists, or has been completed? Does not save bookmarks of FireFox auto? If, then what is the file name and where is normally stored by FireFox?

In fact, it can be easier...

If you have the old drive connected as, say, drive E, go to:

    E:\Users\username

Then click in the address bar and paste it after this and press ENTER to open it:

    \AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

Normally, you have only one file, which has a random string followed by "default." In this case, click on this file and find the subfolder bookmarkbackups.

If you find multiple profile folders, look inside to find the most recently updated backups.

To restore the backup files, see: restore bookmarks from a backup or move them to another computer

  • Fixed a crash issue repeated with a new installation of Firefox on Windows 8.1 28

It is not so much a question as a contribution to the solution.

On a new computer running Windows 8.1 a new installation of Firefox 28 has been repeatedly crash or freeze ("no response"). Loading pages can be slow and scrolling in staircase. Totally unusable, especially after playing content with Shockwave.

Although I had not installed the plug-ins outside Shockwave and Adobe Acrobat, I have had a look and was surprised to see that I had never asked. I disabled those I don't think I need:
    Intel's Identity Protection technology
    Photo Gallery
WildTangent Games App alarm presence V2.

Since these disabling Firefox works well. But I was forced to use another browser for a week until you find the time to research the problem.

Why are these called not - for and of course (at least one) annoying plugins installed by default? It does not have any good Firefox!

Plugins are not included in the Firefox download, because Mozilla is not allowed to distribute. Firefox automatically detects the plugins on your system through a number of methods, so it was a good idea to revisit and disable those you don't need. I have really no idea whence the special ones.

  • Symbol ban after new installation on new SSD

    Hello

A few months ago, my original HD failed (MacBook Pro (13-inch, mid 2012)).

I decided to replace it myself with a SSD instead.

the thing is, every time you start, I get the symbol ban for a few seconds until sometimes for hours, but once the start is done - everything works perfectly.

tried to replace the disc SSD 3 times now - the same result after each new installation of recovery of the internet.

Currently, using SanDisk Ultra II 240 GB.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you!

The symbol you see means that the computer did not find a bootable system disk and sometimes occurs when you have not set up a default startup disk. Go to System Preferences, and then select Startup disk. You should see your SSD in the window. Select it after you unlock the preferences.

The strange thing is that, if this is your problem, it must be solved in seconds - certainly not hours. This would suggest there is something more complex. You say that you tried to replace the SSD 3 times. Different drives? Different manufacturers?

  • Any way to change Firefox 4 UI upgrade to resemble a new installation of the user of Firefox 4 interface?

I upgraded from 3.6.x to 4.0.x and the UI has not moved and 4.0.x. This has happened on Windows XP and Windows 7 computers. I would like to have the interface 4.0.x. I got a new installation of 4.0.x and the user interface is much better for me.

The new interface is the default on Windows Vista and Windows 7 only. You also get the old user interface if you have customized the menu bar. To get the new user interface, you must hide the menu bar. Do, in the view menu, select Toolbars, then click on the entrance to the "Menu bar".

If you need to access the menus, you can press Alt or F10 to display temporarily.

  • With the help of files from a Linux saved / home folder hierarchy, how can I get these bookmarks in new installation?

Prior to this announcement, I read the information available on import-export-backup but unfortunately, I became very confused.

    Location:

On my PC at home, I backed up my Ubuntu + Mint/home folder [dual-booting to installation] trees on a flash drive. In the two Ubuntu + Mint, I used Firefox 3.6.3

Now, I installed Mint with Firefox 3.6.3 on a new hard drive.

In my new installation of mint + Firefox, how to use the files in my backup folder trees / home to give my new Firefox these same bookmarks?

I have never "exported" or "supported" My Favorites; I just copied my trees set/home folder on a flash drive, assuming that the files would be there when I need them. I see a bookmarks.html file in my new installation, but it seems only toolbar links and not a few bookmarks, I created in the past days. And I don't know what to do with the file "places.sqlite".

Should I find "places.sqlite" files in the backup folder tree / home and copy / paste them somewhere on the new hard drive?

I didn't want to risk experimenting this - could hurt!

    Thank you very much.

Firefox 3 and later no longer use bookmarks.html to store bookmarks.

You can restore latest JSON bookmarks in the folder bookmarkbackups or copy places.sqlite on current Firefox profile. Both methods will replace the current bookmarks with the new bookmarks, so I you must preserve existing bookmarks and then export them to a HTML file and import this file later.
