New keyboard Sculpt is declining by characters when I type

I picked up a new scuplt keyboard and it's great, but it falls to a very large number of strikes.  By typing the previous sentence, I had to revise almost every word.  I don't have this problem because the first days I was using it either... seems to have arisen.  I'm only 3 ft away from my laptop and there is nothing between the keyboard and the laptop.

I see no specific driver for this...

What can I do?

Thank you

Personally, I think the mouse and wireless keyboards are more trouble that they are worth, but it's just my personal opinion.  I would venture to guess that you could have a keyboard defective, unless he fell, subjected to high temperatures, or had something spilled on it.

I had a friend complain about the weird characters that appear on the screen.  When I took the keyboard, juice poured out of him!  YMMV.

Good luck.

  • Sam L20: Missing characters when you type

    Hi all!
I have a problem with my brand new L20 miss a lot of characters when I type. After searching in the forums, it seems that a few people also have this problem. I was wondering if anyone has had any chance to fix this problem yet.

As far as I know, the problem seems to be in Windows XP, (I dual-boot with Linux Slackware 10.2 and do not notice the problem here) and I * think * it might have something to do with the internet. I say this because it is really noticeable for me when I'm online, writing emails etc... (Written on this forum takes a lot of error correction) :)

Has anyone else has been able to isolate when this problem is at its worst?

Also, is it possible to group all those who encounter this same issue in a thread? I think that there are about 3 separate threads here where people have mentioned this problem, it would be nice to get everyone together to see if we can solve.

I brought this laptop for programming, and as you can imagine I dare not try try any coding while what is happening, because it would cause too many problems :)
So please, any help, advice, tips, advice or solutions would be welcome.

    Thanks in advance,

    Lee

  • Re: Satellite A60-106 - deleting characters when you type

Hi, hoping someone here can help me...

Toshiba Satellite A60 106 running Windows XP missing characters when I type. If I type very slowly every key works fine. Many letters are removed to normal typing speed. This happens in all applications and does not load. The key repeat rate is also slower that we should (I know how to define it, the problem is not with the setting but with the fact that the setting is not honored or recognized correctly).

Virus/spyware scanner reports clean. The problem started all of a sudden for no apparent reason and does not seem to be associated with any hardware or software changes. Tried to start in safe mode, try to disable all non-essential progams services started via msconfg but to no avail. problem still there.

Laptop has historically suffered badly from overheating, but this problem is not related of course it's the same thing that the machine is hot or cold.

    Any ideas?

Have you installed drivers for a keyboard or an external mouse? (for example, Logitech or Microsoft)

If you boot into MSDOS, it always falls of characters? You can download a boot BACK on www.bootdisk.com disk

What BIOS version? You have the latest version?

  • Revolve 810 G1 keyboard characters when you type

    Hi all

Just got a new HP turn 810 G1 tablet / laptop (12 GB memory 256 GB SDD). Otherwise, things are smooth, but it is extremely annoying problem of keyboard abandonment / jump / lose some of the characters when entering. It is not random, specific keys or combos. So far in this post, he jumped about 10 characters. It does not require typing fast, even in the start menu Win 8, when you search for an app and then hit enter to start the application, it could not react on the press of entry. It is just an example, letters are missing from any where as I type. I type pretty fast and know I'm hitting the right keys. Disable the touchpad does not help, it's not that I would accidentally touch it as you type.

I've updated the BIOS, restored the OS to factory State (full restore HP), go to the English localization of OS, installed all the updates of Windows - no help.

This makes work a pain, it is not possible to cat or document type when you need to go back and correct the errors that you have not done all the time.

HP Support Assistant is not find more updates, number of product H5F12EA #AK8, WIn 8 Pro 64-bit. I installed a 8GB SODIMM under the back cover, included 4GB chip replacement. Will run a memtest overnight.

    Anyone the same light?

    Hello

    Update of the situation-

Nothing doesn't I could do thorough tests (including memory) HW run, tests the user added 8 GB SODIMM removed, SIM card removed, removed battery (switch required), full restoration of BONE made a couple of times (END / ENG locations), HP Support Assistant Windows Update patches applied, another keyboard + touchpad drivers of the repository product drivers downloaded and installed, the settings keyboard and touch twisted and applied a pious hope of heap.

Called HP and at least one portable old of the week will now be replaced by a new. A few more lost days, I hope it'll work at least!

  • Area keyboard Increments swinging back on pt when I type px

    Hello

I am trying to adjust the keyboard 1 px instead of 1-pt Increments area in general preferences. When I type 1 px it changes again in 1 pt. Can someone help me understand why? I use Illustrator CC 2015.

    Thank you.

Well, I answered my own question. This situation occurs because the 'Units' tab in preferences, general has been updated with points. I'll leave this place in case someone else happens to have this same issue.

    Anyone know the problem?

    Hello

If it please try to disable the touch pad using the mouse properties or use the FN + F9 key combination. I hope that this will be resolved.

  • Display hidden by default characters when you open document

Hi, I am a user of InDesign for a long time, currently working in CS4, and cannot find a way to solve what should be a simple problem.

Yesterday, I was in a document and press the keyboard shortcut to display hidden characters. What I did to, then flipped it works back (using the key command), has continued to work, saved the document and open another. The new document, from the opening, has view hidden characters. Weird, I thought and turned it off. But then when I open another document, it still default to display hidden characters when I opened it. Now, I open all documents by default to display hidden characters.

I've searched and searched using InDesign, blogs and forums, but can't seem to find a solution to making it default to opening to hide hidden characters, not show hidden characters. I know that's not a problem of end-of-the-world, and it's not like I can just disable them and continue to work, but it is flippin ' boring the snot out of me as it happens and I can't find the answer to turn it off!

    Help?

    Thanks in advance!

First close all documents. With no. open documents choose characters hide hidden, it will be the default in the future.

  • Need new keyboard for Satellite A660

    Hello

I need to get a new keyboard to replace the one in my laptop Toshiba Satellite because some keys stopped working.

My computer is a Toshiba Satellite A660-PSAW3A-07P00R.

I have been looking online at different and a single list as "fitting Toshiha Satellite A660 laptop computers".

Does anyone know if different laptops of the A660 other shape series computers laptops, or I need to find the specific part that is compatible with the number of my computer?

In addition, the keyboard of my laptop doesn't have the function of backlit, but in some lists I could find that didn't function backlit.

Anyone know if the backlit keyboard is a size different from that which is not backlit and therefore it does not my laptop?

I would be very grateful of any help.

    Thank you.

When the keyboard is removed on the back side is a sticker with part number that you can use to search for and order new keyboard. In my opinion this is the best and easiest way to find a good keyboard.

Keyboard with backlight has additional cable for power and you cannot use it with our machine, so, in my opinion, there is no sense to buy it. Remove the keyboard and we part of the keypad number.

I don't know if you have experience with disassembly, but be careful if you want to do it yourself. Small mistake and something may be broken. If all this is too risky for you I recommend you to contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help. They can order the original keyboard and switch to... I think only 20 minutes.

  • New keyboard - arrival time is 2 weeks. Is - this excessive?

    HI guys,.
I'm new to this forum, so please be gentle lol.

I just brought a Toshiba laptop not even three months ago. Now the keypad has failed, and they told me after a week where he is in the shop it would be another two weeks until arrived it from parts. That Toshiba had not in Australia.
I'm a little disappointed by that, because it's a new computer and you would think that x amount of spare parts would be part in Australia. Or even have quick access to a service center.

Now, I work in logistics and understanding of the issues in play, but two weeks?

    Hello

When you have a hardware problem, please contact Toshiba service directly and not ask for help in some store. They have no idea what either. Who knows what they are doing and where they ordered the new keyboard.

So I recommend you to visit the Toshiba support under http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/service-centres page and communicate directly with the service of Toshiba. It's a warranty issue and you will get new free game.

  • NB100 - new keyboard

Can someone tell me if it is possible to get another keyboard for a netbook NB100?

The choice of grey characters dark on a black keyboard makes it nearly impossible to see something else bright light

    Hey Buddy,

I'm don't know if there's another compatible keyboard for NB100 but an authorized service provider can give you an answer because they have access to the spare parts of Toshiba.

You must give them a call or write a short email. Give them your exact part of your laptop number and they can get a new keyboard.

  • Where can I get a new keyboard for my Tecra A3 in the United Kingdom?

I spilled water - heck! -a couple of days ago on my Tecra A3 and I think it is beyond fixing, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

I was not clean it regularly and I think there's probably some dust - and other foreign bodies - under the keys and I think that dust got, through the water, in the electronics connecting the keys to the white fabric - I don't know what you call it - the keyboard connecting links for the rest of the machine.

Most of the keys does not work, and some of them, they work, whey in free, add additional letters for a tap.

I removed the keyboard and left it and the machine to dry and when has not toured and dried the keyboard and surrounding parts thorougly - working delicately - cleaned using a little bit of alcohol and ear hydrophilic cotton cleaners. I also used a small air pressure producing machine to try to get rid of any dust. I think I did a job just, but it still does not.

I think I have to buy a new keyboard. Do you know where can I get a new keyboard A3 in England or a second hand keyboard that would be in perfect working order?

    Thanking you in advance,

    Conor Joyce

    Hello

New parts can be ordered from the ASP from Toshiba (certified partner) in your country. Guys could control the room is not available directly from Toshiba.

If you want to buy a second hand keyboard, I recommend you research in the internet, ebay, etc.

  • HP Envy 700-414/SK-2061 CLAV: I have not received any software cd (CD of HP Wireless Elite keyboard accompaniment) with my new keyboard

I love this keyboard... that's what I've been looking for years! It works fine, but the battery indicator which is SUPPOSED to be in the SYSTRAY isn't here. Maybe I'm too picky or petty, but I would like to have this icon to show me when the batteries become weak in the keyboard.

The documents that came with the new keyboard or online mentioned this CD, but I can't find any software or upgrade for this keyboard.

Also, is there a list of compatible mouse H - P, which work with the Receiver USB 5 link? I have at least three HP wireless mouse and none of them work with this receiver.

It would be nice to have a list of all devices compatible!

    Hello

The same thing happened to me. I use an old notebook and the problem has been resolved by the BIOS updated.
It seems you laptop computer A200 is a series of very new and not very long on the market.
That's why I put t think that new BIOS is already available.

Take a look at the Toshiba page from time to time, and perhaps the new BIOS will be available.

  • Do I need a new keyboard?

I recently removed my keys on my keyboard to clean and now after putting the keys back on the keys are hard when you enter. As to get stuck and not as smooth when you press.

I hope that I just put the keys back on wrong...

    Hello DamianC

I'm sorry to hear that you are having a problem with your keyboard. I suggest that you try to remove the keys and put back them. Chances are however that you are going to need a new keyboard and the problem you describe seems to be a physical problem and I think that it would be preferable that you contacted technical support HP for repair options or if you are out of warranty to order a new keyboard.

I want to thank you for display on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

    Thanking you.

Go to the windows that allows you to select the keyboard.

If I remember correctly: Control Panel, all the items in the Panel control, region and language, keyboards and languages.

Click the keyboard button. Follow the on-screen prompts.

Make sure that your selection corresponds to your keyboard layout and the language version of Windows.
