• New owner Acer 5551

  Hi all

  I just had an Acer 5551-2648 after that my laptop old and tired cratered. I searched on the web, a lot of learning, but some questions remain:

  The Acer support site lists for the 5551 bluetooth drivers, but AFAIK, it came standard with BT

  I know that I can use a USB BT dongle, but I would rather use a USB port.

  Nobody knows what form the BT ability takes? Is the card BT his own card or is it integrated? There is a WIFI prevention half mini PCI card installed now, and there are maps wifi/BT prevention available in the same form factor. If it works, it would be great.

  Integrated or separated, do anyone know the part # for the module BT?

  Also:

  -Does anyone know what lives in the compartment at the rear of the machine, next to the battery?

  -5551 has to a full keyboard size with a numeric keypad. At present, the digital section behaves as a control of cursor (arrows). Press NumLock it switches to a very fine control of cursor (pixel-by-pixel?), but no combination of keys I could find it transformed into a numeric keypad. The former owner pointed out that the keypad has worked at the same time.

  A lot of research on the web, find the same question, but no answers.

  I can't afford to pay for a new machine right now, and I want to get the most out of this nice gift.

  The Council of bluetooth was a separate Board for the WiFi card and need to lay a cable way in the chassis.

  I don't know if its replacement by a combo card would work or not, who is not tested and not supported.

  The compartment next to the battery was for option 3 G module.

  I don't know why does not the appropriate numeric keypad as a numeric keypad.

• New Member, ACER Aspire V3 - 771G bought from Europe

  For 2011, I think that an Acer aspire V3, I - 771G. RecentlyI settled in the Canadian West Coast, and I was wondering if I can replace / upgrade my NVidia Geforce GT 650 M video card to a new version with representatives of ACER in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

  My system is:

  Intel (R) cORE (TM) 3630QM-I7 CPU @2.4 GHz

  8.00 GB of Ram, 59 Hz

  NVidia Geforce GT 650M

  N business Win 8.1

  The laptop performs well except when using Autocad Civil 3D 2016 and also newer games Total War Warhammer. I'm under video only.

• Failed to install the new driver Acer Aspire E1-571

  I upgraded to 8.1 8 wind wind (OEM), I tried to install the new driver for Elan Touchpad Acer support but he failed, but the installer says the driver is installed correctly, when I checked in the Device Manager, there is no momentum drver but found the PS2 of Windows compatible driver.

  Yes, I tried different drivers and none of the newer drivers work, finally, I opted for the original driver version 11.6.8.1 and organized settings to my liking.

  The drivers installed 11.6.24.203 but not appear in Device Manager

  11.6.27.201 has frozen my BONES with BSOD

• WIN8 came on new laptop Acer Aspire V3-571, it's so bad...

  and slow, it has not been tested on this material, disc must wipe and full install of win7. Why do you ship your OS products that are clearly not ready? It reminds me of Vista which is come on Dell XPS machine years ago, the worst thing ever imagined, had to wipe it and install win7 Beta that was 4 times as good. The win8 is absolutely terrible, and this message should be sent to Mr. Balmer and Mr. Gates... Thank you.

  If your new laptop to windows 8 is that many issues I don't mess with it. I would immediately consider back where I got it and get another. Does not need a new computer does not correctly out of the box. This problem is Acer. not yours or Microsoft. May not be what you are looking for, but I hope this helps and if you need another post to help and we will be happy to help you.

  I tried to register and get a manual online. Acer systems will not accept S/N or SNID saying that both are not valid.

  If you purchased your tablet to the United Kingdom and Acer UK site does not accept your SNID, I suggest call Acer customer service and ask to register manually.

• New laptop (Acer, Aspire E 15, E5-571-58FP)... How can I disable the charms to appear

  Windows 8.1, touchscreen No.... either the Mouse/touchpad makes the charms seem to - almost at random.

  Tried disabling through Control Panel, mouse.  In the window of the mouse, he has options button, pointer, pointer Options and equipment.

  Nowhere are there options to activate in any way to control the appearance of the charms or disable border punches.

• Video chip does only not with the new monitor

  I have a HP pavilion p624of pc with original video express chip intel g45/g43. I buy a new widescreen Acer, S201HLbd I series have problems to display videos and video advertisements on my desk.

  Acer support said that the problem is with the drivers. I have check the HP website and don't see any update for drivers intel original; running the disk HP Manager, (3rd party provider, I guess), it tells me that my video drivers are outdated, and I need to get from the computer manufacturer. Where can I find an update of my current video drivers be able to watch videos on my desk. I connected the acer monitor to my laptop and it works fine. I started in safe mode and the video will work. It is not all the videos, but some that will be distorted, shine or have a black box in front of them. Need to find a new updated drivers, but where?

  Have you tried to change the screen resolution of different setttngs?  For example, if you went to a 4:3 to widescreen (16:9) display monitor you need to change the resolution to a wide screen resolution.

  Run the Intel driver update utility and it will scan your PC and give you downloads for all Intel devices that need updated drivers.

• Acer does not have any spare part for the B326HK monitor.

  I bought on 11.06.2014 in the monitor of Belgium a B326HK 4 K and it was after 2 days already broken. The monitor has been sent to the Acer service center, but it seems that they have no spare parts. I've had better service expected of Acer. Their explanation is that it is a fairly new monitor and they can get difficult spare parts. Are there people who are facing this problem?

  @ Cory. Today I finally received news of Acer with the message that the motherboard of the monitor showed an error. Because apparently these motherboards are currently difficult to obtain, Acer will send me a new monitor. When I read here on the forum about problems that have other owners of this Acer B326HK, I think they could actually sit with the same faulty motherboard in their monitor.

  Well, in regards to the power, I think that a 220 watt power supply will do. Regarding the size, if you live in America, I take to Tiger Direct and let them help you. They are very friendly and intelligent. Help most basic is free. It wouldn't hurt.

  They carry several alternative energy supplies. They wear very probably one you need.

  Most of the supplies are about the same size. But I can't say its size for a mini.

• Acer Iconia A500 AC adapter/charger

  Power supply/charger cord provided with my A500 when I bought it deconstructed after several months. I ordered what was described as a true charger Acer for the A500 on ebay or Amazon or somewhere. He worked for a while, but it never enters the port as the original one. He goes in the part of path and stops.

  It's OK for a while, but lately, he has stopped charging the tablet. I used to be able to get to load if I waved and fanagled is glued and just then the cord in place while it loaded so he couldn't move. But now I can not find any position where it will charge.

  I want to replace the charger with a new genuine Acer charger. I went to BestBuy, Geek Squad and Radio Shack, but incredibly, none of these places have a male plug charger that fits into the port on my tablet. I found any number of Chargers that claims to be the real Chargers Acer on the internet, but I need to make sure that the plug is the right one.

  Are there specifications for the portion of the charger that would allow me to be really specific about what I want? Is it possible that I have a European version of the plug? How will I know? Or do I just take a chance and order one and see if it fits well?
