NEW TO BLACKBERRY blackBerry smart phones... I LOST ALL MY APPS ON MY PHONE. Help, please!

Hope someone can help me please...  I bought a 2nd hand Blackberry Curve 8310 only a week ago and I just accidently deleted a file that has been deleted and ALL my applications and now I am unable to do anything.  I got a Blackberry user tools disk with my phone, but it does not work in my computer it says I inserted a blank disc?  My computer is running Windows Vista.  I hope someone can help me, that / can do?  Is there a disk or something to backup and restore applications that I lost?  Help, please.  kiwichick09

try to perform your 'o' key and see if it brings options, if so go to themes and change

Otherwise, I would like to do a backup via Desktop Manager and do a factory reset

to proceed with the factory reset, you will need to have DTM 4.7

Plug in BB with closed DTM

then go to start-run and type

cmd

Press enter

black screen comes up

type

CD c:\program files Research in motion\apploader

Press enter

type

/resettofactory Loader.exe

Press enter

Once the device has restarted, you should have everything back but your personal data

DTM allows to restore your backup

  • Send a Blackberry smart phone info to a database on a server using Java?

    Hello

I'm new to the Blackberry development... but I now have a project to do.

I want to retrieve the latitude and longitude of Blackberry GPS and send them to a database on a server every 30 minutes.  Also, I want to be able to do without the user doing anything on his Blackberry (I mean, I don't want him to click somewhere every now and them).

I was able to get the latitude and longitude (double) using Java.

I don't know how to get out them of the BlackBerry.

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you

BTW, I do my testing on a 8310 Rogers using JDE 4.2.1 Simulator.

    Hello

The BlackBerry smart phone needs a 'gateway' to connect to the internet. This white paper is extremely useful to explain all your choices of selection of the good gateway:

Data on BlackBerry 4 Wireless Transport Management - Part 1

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/knowledgecenterpublic/livelink.exe?func=LL&objid=832210&objAction=browse&s...

Once you have selected the gateway, then you can go ahead and use the Connector.open (url) command to create a HTTP connection to the application server (Tomcat, JBoss, .NET, etc.) on the internet. The application server could then use ODBC/JDBC to store data in the database.

  • How can I connect my BlackBerry smart phone to internet via bluetooth on my laptop connection?

I have connected my BlackBerry smart phone to my laptop via a Bluetooth successfully, but when I tried to connect to the internet, here's a message appears: your device cannot automatically connect to the internet, you want to enter user name and number manually?

So, how can I connect my BlackBerry smart phone to the internet via a bluetooth connection?
    Thank you
    Michael

    Hi Michael,

You must create a connection switched to solve the problem:

    Please follow the steps:

    a. click on the blue Windows logo at the bottom of the screen, then click on 'control panel '.

    b. double-click on "Network and sharing Center." If you don't see this icon, click on "Classic view" in Windows Vista. In Windows 7, click on the "view by:" drop-down menu and select 'small icons '.

    c. click on "Set up a connection or network" on the left side of the window. Select "Set up a dial-up connection" and then click "next".

    d. type the phone number of your Internet Service provider in the box "Dial-up phone number." Type the number exactly as you need to dial it in your area - include the area code if required by your telephone company.

Enter your user name and password. The ISP gives you this information when you create your account. Check the box "Remember this password" to avoid having to enter the password each time you use the connection.

    f. type a name in the box 'Connection name' which will help you to remember which connection it is.

    g. check the box "Allow other people to use this connection" to make the connection available to all users on your computer.

    h. click the 'Connect' button to connect to the Internet service provider and save the connection. You can connect to it in the future by clicking on the logo Windows at the bottom of the screen, then "Connect To."

    For more ihelp:

Contact the wireless service provider for more information on how to connect to the internet using mobile phone on PC.

    I hope this helps.

  • BlackBerry smartphones why my storm does not recognize my songs! Help, please

Hi, I just got my bb storm today and used the media transfer software that comes with the storm. I have conncected to my computer and added to the storm. When I try to go to the media and trying to find the songs it says I have nothing. ! ? ! ? I'm trying to find files via explore under card media and music folder and its empty! but when I've plug it back the computer and use the software to manage my songs it says its there? Help.

    Thanks in advance.

Can you try to check for the songs real media card?  To do this, open Windows Explorer and look under your computer, for your BlackBerry smart phone listed as two separate disks.  One will be the media card, the other will be the internal memory on your phone.  See if your songs are there.  If they are not, then the songs simply didn't transfer.  If necessary, you can just manually transfer your files by copying and pasting the course to the media card.

Just an another troubleshooting suggestions and a work-around for now.

Try removing the battery without turning off the phone.

Make sure its not connected to anything (cable, charger), make sure that its turned ON, then lift the battery out.

  • Reset password after you forget old pw blackBerry smart phones

I am happy to be a member of the forum and hope I can make a useful contribution.
Here's my problem: I have a BB Bold 9900 recently acquired after using a 9000 for over 2 years. Recently, my mail server has changed its parameters and in order to do the same thing in the 9900, I went to the e-mail settings and asked for my BB id and the password. Forgot pw so I clicked on "forgot pw" and the usual pw hint question came. However, the pw that I got did not work - I have received more than 9 chances and couldn't get the good pw. So what I do now - I need the emails on my BB desperately. Can someone help please I need to reset my forgot pw.

So, you mean that your BlackBerryID is in a lock mode?

Article ID: KB24157 BlackBerry ID locking behavior

Please try this, using your BlackBerry browser...

    Go to mobile.blackberry.com

Scroll down to Communication and e-mail.

Choose the appropriate email, configure the options.

    It works for you?

  • BlackBerry smart phones no matter what I do, get "cannot connect. Ongoing call. "in the box with the i symbol.

I even tried turning off and waiting. I'm new to this so if you think you can help, please use just (newbie) language.

Oh, and this started after the handset was in my purse, then maybe a button randomly had pushed by chance?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Try simply to open the compartment (at the back of the phone) and remove the battery for 15-30 seconds, then reinsert the battery.  The phone will restart and should work fine after that.

    I hope that helps!

  • Help blackBerry smartphones, I've lost all my contacts!

OK, so I just installed new software on my Storm 9500 (Version 5.0.0.451) and now I've lost all my contacts.

As far as I know they have been stored in the Blackberry Desktop Software, how do I now restore them?

    Hello!

KB10339 How to restore data from a backup file to a BlackBerry smartphone

If you don't know where is the backup file, search your entire hard drive for a file with an extension of the RPI (*.ipd). Inspect the results - mainly date/time of the file. Select the candidate most likely and use it as a source in the above procedure.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphones, I've lost all Bbm Contacts

Hi, can someone help me please? It seems to me losing all my bbm contacts, even though I've done quite a few backups before, even I did with Blackberry Protect. I am at a loss here.

All this happened when I changed service provider. I had previously asked if this was going to happen and there was the answer No. All asudden yesterday (one day after the switch), I was on the road and all my contacts disappeared. I tried the support through Blackberry Protect to no results.

    Help, please.!

PS I see some ".bak" in "file backup" and a "bbm.db" one step backward, if that helps.

Well, Thx, I crossed the .bak files and found an old copy of backup who had contacts. I had to manually select the items to RESTORE well. I have verified that BBM related files. I resolved to the fact that it's the best I can do. My contacts I added said that I disappear from the list here, I guess they were not visible from my end. So I guess that the rest will be re-add me in due time.

Once again thanks for your response.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones update Blackberry Curve 8310 and lost all data

    Help, please!

I received a text message that I needed to update my Blackberry Curve 8310 4.3 (I think).  I went to my computer and connected to blackberry.com and did the update.  The message then said that I had to update my Desktop Manager.  I've done both.  But she erased ALL my contacts and data.  No emails and worse still no address. My screen is completely different.  My Office Manager was not my old data.

It was a bad day, has laid off and now all my contacts are gone.

If someone knows a way to retrieve my contacts, I would be very grateful.

    Hallelujah!

It worked!  It's a good day, found the RPI buried on the disk and retrieved.  I must somehow be saved from a month ago.

    Thank you!!!
