• New to Illustrator CS5 and need help

  I started to learn Illustrator CS5 about 4 weeks ago and things were going well, but recently, when I run the program I do not get the toolbar on the left of the screen or the command on the right windows. I've attached a picture of how my window when I run the program. My window menu offers very limited options.

  You may be in the trash your Preferences folder as welby do this:

  1. quit Illustrator.

  2. go to user/username/Library/Preferences/Adobe illustrator CS # Settings and parameters, the entire record of the trash not only the contents of the folder...

  3. launch Illustrator. Illustrator creates a new preferences file.

  You try to open a document to a newer version?

  If so, you should get a downsaved version instead. Even if it was saved with PDF compatibility you'd lose probably important editability.

  Blurry printing InDesign: Choose file > print > graphics > Images > data send: all

  Fuzzy in PDF format: fix above points first. make sure that the links are up-to-date; post a screenshot here your PDF export settings.

  Running HAVE CS5.5. All of a sudden, when I "save under" in pdf format, the pdf content is not saved.   I understand that say these directions and I can do it like that, but it is impossible to open the file by a person without I.

  It's used to work so easily! Save slot, choose pdf in the drop down menu, it adds .pdf for the file name, in fact!

  I have two pages in Illustrator and I want to create a 2-page PDF file. In CS3, there was a page multiple selection PDF I could do in the save my Illustrator file dialog box. This feature is not there in Illustrator CS5. Is this possible to do?

• Illustrator CS5: Slow down to save documents

  Hello! I am the Christ, new on the Adobe forums!

  We have someone using Illustrator CS5 and work with the file from 10 MB to 500 MB, most of the time. The problem is that, when you open, correct, it is slow because there is a file on the network (400 MB), but when you save it, network or not, it's VERY, but VERY slow. I mean, you click on save, and then save the file, then the program Illustrator answers does not, then you wait about 15 years, and the small window that displays the progress happens. You wait after this progress bar for like 30-40 years. It's the same thing, like even time for a 100 MB file.

  One of my friends told me that he has the same problem, but it has never had this problem with illustrator CS2.

  Windows XP SP3 to update (we tried on the same machine, but with a windows 7, same problem)

  A friend's computer:

  500 GB 7200 RPM HARD drive

  Windows XP SP3 update (done on computer 2 with same spec) (on CS2, was not so long, with an AMD Athlon X 2 4200 + and 3 GB of ram)

  You may be 'OFF' create a Compatible PDF file while saving time.

  Then, it will save more quickly. When you need to you can swtich on.

  I've migrated recently MacBook Pro computers on iMac and all my programs transferred except Adobe Illustrator CS5 (which I have always used for printing and production). Configuration error, so I called Adobe and was intended to help the Creative Suite / CS5 download products I downloaded installers product and clicked on Adobe Illustrator CS5 icon to install (I was told I could use this product saved on the computers of limit 2) but when I tried to install this message appears (see below).

  'Install' cannot be opened because it comes from a developer that is unidentified. Your security preferences allowing installation of only the applications from the Mac App Store and identified the developers. 'Install' is on the image disk 'Illustrator_15_LS1.dmg '. Safari has downloaded this disk image today at 08:35 from trials2.adobe.com.

  Thanks for the tip, I saved the drawings in PDF with a custom paper size and opens the document in acrobat and I was able to print actual size.

  CS5 help is usually located in/usr/Library/Preferenecs/chc.487.../Local Store/Help folder.

  CS6 help is generally downloaded to the shared location, unless it is limited. In this case the folder above can be used to download help.

  Yes, the content setting in the Adobe help Manager offline, will work with CS5 and CS6 and help our customers.

  'Status to expired' usually means the State when local content goes stale, and new content offline is available on Adobe.com servers. Yes, a user can click on the button download/upgrade to update to refresh the content expired with the Adobe help Manager.

  Regarding the launch of CS5 product help, I'll need some more information to provide an answer.

  1. which product and version of CS5 is the customer problem.

  2. What is the status of help downloaded for the same product (CS5 or CS6 Adobe help Manager)

  3. is the user able to see help downloaded in the above files
