  This means that you have previously imported these pictures/videos into Lightroom, and you must not (and are not allowed to) import them again.

  Go to your library Module (not the import dialog box) and find the photos, then you can make use of them in any way you want in Lightroom.

  Question mark on these files means that you must be moved/renamed/deleted files on your hard drive where they were originally.

  When you import an image in Lightroom, it does not matter the original copy of the image instead it saves to the original location when you import or where you copy the image using Lightroom and it always refers to this place.

  So if you want to move or rename these images, you should do it in Lightroom instead of outside of Lightroom.

  Now, if you know the current location of these images on your hard drive, you must move them into Lightroom.

  You don't mean that the import window is reduced?

  You can develop that will bring to the top of all the options to import for you.

  Problem solved by removing the Previews.lrdata folder.

  The Photomerge option is available in 6 of Lightroom, and not in Lightroom 5.

• Why am I not able to launch the new CC Lightroom on my Macbook Pro?

  Could you try logout - and still the creative cloud app.

  Then relaunch Lr Desktop.

• New to Lightroom, import of raw CR2 files problem.

  I am new to Lightroom and can't import my raw CR2 photo files. In the section "import", I select my SD card that contains the raw image files. All the map .jpeg files appear as thumbnails, but the CR2 files show "extract not available for this file. I select one of the thumbnails CR2 anyway, select a folder on my external hard drive and click on "import". A window pops up that says: "this file is not recognized by the format of raw support in Lightroom." I use Lightroom 4.4 and works with a Windows Vista operating system (on a laptop old, junky). My camera is a Canon 70 d and am shooting in RAW + JPEG. I also downloaded the Adobe software. DNG Converter 6.3 to try to convert the files before importing them into Lightroom and it is also not recognizing and import my CR2 files. Don't know what to do at this point. Any suggestions?

  I would recommend download DNG Converter 8.2 which is compatible with Vista.

  The latest version 8.6 requires W7 and W8

  • Go to Lightroom > Preferences.
  • Also please go to preferences > Performance tab and uncheck the box "use graphics processor.
  • Restart Lightroom and see if it works.

• Mobile screen of new Collection Lightroom

  I tried to ask this question on a thread has already started, but I don't think it gets the exposure until you get an answer, so I'll give it a shot here.  The new Lightroom mobile is been great for me so far, but I have a question I wasn't able to find an answer.  New collection screen is fine for me and I see that it is displaying the collections of my office, I shared.  My question is about the selection of Photos with Lightroom.  I can see now I have more 13 000 photos listed with thumbnails for all of these photos.  How are those being "shared"or "displayed" the my mobile application? ".  The 13 000 represents about 1/3 of my pictures that are in my catalog on my desktop, so I might be able to assume that it is not an attempt to make all of my available on my mobile application catalog.  Seem to span several years so it is not only in recent years.  What is the logic used, making them available on the application on my mobile?

  I love this feature in general but I REALLY need to understand how it works.  If the photos are available for use then this means that my office sends thumbnails to the adobe servers.  That is my big concern.  I have no problem with the photos of my choice here but I have BIG problems with some work related photos that might be in a Lightroom catalog that is uploaded to a server from Adobe.  This could be in violation of the policy of the company and of the Federal Act. Please HELP me understand this so I do not get into trouble if I have to work on this type of pictures.

  Yes, that's correct. All Photos is essentially a directory current images that you have already synchronized. It represents those who are currently in a collection that is be synchronized and those who do not currently exist in a synchronized collection, but had been transferred in the past. This statement should clear if you go in the Lightroom preferences > Lightroom Mobile and click on remove all data.
