  I suggest you to completely remove Norton of the system using Norton Removal Tool and check if the problem persists.

  Method 1:

  You can try the following and link methods under each method for more information on the same and see if one of them solve the problem.

  Method 1: Start the computer in last good known Configuration

   

  1. Remove all floppy disks, CDs and DVDs from your computer and restart your computer.

  Click the button start , click the arrow next to the button lock , then click on restart.

  1. Do one of the following:

  ·         If your computer has a single operating system installed, press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears. If the Windows logo appears, you need to try again by waiting until the Windows logon prompt appears, and then stop and restart your computer.

  ·         If your computer has more than one operating system, use the arrow keys to select the operating system you want to start, and then press F8.

  1. In the Advanced Boot Options screen, use the arrow keys to select last good known Configuration and press ENTER.
  2. If your computer has multiple operating systems installed, use the arrow keys to select the operating system that you want to start using the last good known Configuration, and then press ENTER. Windows will then resume starting normally.

  Method 2: Start your computer in Mode safe

  3. in the display Advanced Startup Options , use the arrow keys to select the option of safe mode you want and press ENTER. For more information about the options, see Advanced startup options (including safe mode).

  4 log your computer with a user account with administrator rights.

  When your computer is in safe mode, you'll see the words Safe Mode in the corners of the screen. To leave safe mode, restart your computer and let Windows start normally.

  I can access my documents, Panel etc. and everything is there, but it won't let me not get access to the programs.

  Also when I go to click on itunes and open office it happens "this file has no program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the set associations Control Panel.

  Given that I was able to access control panel, I was able to create a new user and use it for now to send this message and all programs have worked on it and I was able to check for the presence of viruses on the Avg on this and everything was clear.

  This can also occur if the user account is damaged. If the computer is not connected to a domain controller, try the following steps.
  1. connect to another user account and create a new user account to fix the damaged user account.

  Sorry to hear about the accident. You get the Mozilla Crash Reporter dialog box? If so, your Firefox may have saved some data that would help to find the cause of the problem. You can submit these data to Mozilla and share with the volunteers of the forum to see if it points to the solution. Please see the article "Firefox blocks - ask for help" to get the procedure to get these IDs crash from the very: page crashes (or the disc), then confirm the latest here.

  Also, and/or at the same time, could test you mode without failure of Firefox? It is a standard diagnostic tool to disable some advanced features of Firefox and extensions. More info: questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode.

  Does not work if Firefox: Hold down the SHIFT key when you start Firefox.

  If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Mode safe mode using either:

  • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > restart with disabled modules
  • Help menu > restart with disabled modules

  and OK reboot.

  Two scenarios: A small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not update).

  One more, then I'll stop: Some WordPress plugins include browser sniffing code that can adjust the output for different browsers. Recently, there was one that worked right up for Firefox 35 and caused problems in Firefox 36 (why can not my clients or I discovered my own site on FireFox?). Conversely, an update of the plugin sometimes things to go haywire. Therefore, it is interesting to try to disable WordPress plugins to see if that makes a difference.

• Each update of firefox is not compatible with the latest version of Java (including 90% of the internet use), how can it be fixed right NOW so I can use firefox?

  I don't like updates of firefox, trying to be more and better than the competition, I get it. However, each update is incompatible with Java 100% and where people who work together and makes these updates are not aware, the world wide web all use Java. Why would anyone want to use firefox, when they can't even use the internet?

  JavaScript is not Java, as said and JavaScript is part of Firefox, so nothing to update.

  Regarding the Flash go to http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ to see if it detects and if you have the latest version.

  https://www-trunk.stage.Mozilla.com/en-us/plugincheck/ suggested that the post above is not to update the flash plugin.

  Comcast & Norton are already over 5 weeks of delay in the release of a compatibility update for Firefox 20.

  Norton being the update compatibility Firefox 20 for their retail security applications in the 2 hours 20 Firefox being out, my guess is that Comcast is a delaying the update for their version of 'brand' of Norton.

• Why can't I access the new updates of Firefox 4?

  Just updated to Firefox 4 and finished rebooting, but nothing has changed. The browser looks the same as version 3.6.16. I see no Button Firefox, the Awesome Bar does not work, the Stop/Reload have not been combined into one, the Home button has not been moved, etc.. When I check on Firefox, it says I have version 4. I even rebooted in SafeMode with everything disabled and still nothing.

  Any ideas why I'm not able to access the new features?

  The new interface is the default on Windows Vista and Windows 7 only. To get it under Windows XP, you must hide the menu bar. Do, in the view menu, select Toolbars, then click on the entrance to the "Menu bar".

  If you need to access the menus, you can press Alt or F10 to display temporarily.

  To combine the go-stop-reload buttons, right-click on a toolbar and select Customize. Now drag the stop and reload buttons on the right side of the address bar in reload-stop order
