I press the button 'Print' in google maps.
It opens a new window which is windowed, not enlarged.
Now it opens suddenly maximized.
How can I change this back?

New windows open as narrow screens instead of the full screen
original title: WHEN YOU OPEN a NEW WINDOW IT OPENS ON a NARROW instead of FULL SCREEN mode WINDOW. WHY? AND HOW TO CHANGE THIWS SETTING?
for some reason any (Ithink my fiance ' has done something) when I open a new window opens in a narrow band at the center of the screen. How can I fix it to open full screen?
Three options.1: take the corners of the window and drag it to the format full screen. Do not use to expand. Close all other windows first via the taskbar and the latter. Windows will remember the size of the last closed window the next time that you open the program.2: any shortcut you use to launch the window, right-click, and select Properties. Under the 'Run' drop-down list, choose "expanded".3: IE New Window Maximizer

When I open a new tab, a new window opens
I used to be able to open multiple tabs in the same window of Firefox. Now, every time I click on a link or access an external link hyper, a new window opens instead of a new tab in the existing window.
Browser.Link.open_newwindow has the value of integer type and a value of 3.
It seems not to matter. The problem persists. I don't want to do a refresh or uninstall and reinstall a new copy. What can I do to fix this? As I said, it has never been this way before and it seems to have started to happen out of nowhere.
Try to set browser.link.open_newwindow.override.external 3 as well.
Have you checked your extensions (associate tab)?
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.
- Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
- Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

I go to a site and do a search for an mp3 player. A new window opens and I get a recording of the voice tells me I have a virus and I need to call this number 1-855-232-1535 and I will be given instructions on how to to remove the virus or my personal information could be compromised... My antivirus can't find no viruses nor did my malware program. Is a warning and a number legitimate (I called and had someone who doesn't tell me just who the support she represented and was obviously, probably in India and Pakistan and also of course in a piece of phone). Any comments would be appreciated.nI running windows xp service pack 4 and FireFox 38
Hi, probably the site it is a phishing site, forge, if you are looking for the virus and you are clean, if you want to check more then, you can try these free programs to search for malicious software that work with your existing anti-virus software:
- Microsoft safety scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- Anti-Rootkit utility - TDSSKiller
- AdwCleaner (for more information, see this other AdwCleaner download page)
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP, if you do not already have one. Windows 8 already has integrated antivirus.

Using firefox 14.0.1. Load a link using the right click and "Open link in new window", translates into a new window opens but doesn't show URL address bar. However, if I click with the right button on a link and select "Open link in a new tab", the tab displays the URL in the address bar. If it works when a new tab it's not in a new window.

New window opens next to old rather than at the end of the taskbar.
Everytime I open a new Firefox window, it opens the window to the right of the previously opened window, instead of all the way to the right end of the taskbar. How can I change so the new window opens it?
If you're referring to new tabs instead of new windows...
You can change a preference to open tabs
- at the end of all tabs open
- immediately after the active tab.
See: http://kb.mozillazine.org/About:config
- Type of topic: config in the URL bar and press the Enter key.
- If you see warning, accept it (promise to be careful).
- Filter = browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent
- Look at the column 'Value' (' false= open to end, real= open after the current tab "); Value = true is the default value.
- Double-click this preference to switch the value from true to false and false to true
- Restart Firefox (file > restart Firefox)
- See: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2010/02/01/change-firefox-to-open-new-tab-at-far-right-end-of-tabbar-disable-insert-next-to-current-active-tab/
Some add-ons (like Tab Mix Plus and other tab extensions), may also have an impact on the opening of a tab position.

New windows open with different toolbars (and missing URL bar)
When I select the button 'New window' or 'Open in a new window' in the context menu, opens a new window of Firefox - however, the toolbars are completely different from the original open window. Specifically, the URL address bar is missing.
I can add, but change how to change my original toolbar installation.
More bad behavior: even if I change the new window to the way I wanted, new windows open in this window to return to the modified version, with no toolbar location.
You can try:
- http://KB.mozillazine.org/JavaScript#Advanced_JavaScript_settings
Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions of the origin of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).
- Makes no changes on the start safe mode window.

- If you do not have the current version, click on the "Player Download Center" link on the 'download and information' or 'Download manual installers' below
- Once the download is complete, exit Firefox
- Click on the installer, you just download and install
- Windows 7 and Vista: will need to right click on the installer and choose 'run as administrator '.
- Launch Firefox and recheck your version or up to the download link below to test the installation
- Download and information: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
- Use Firefox to go to the site above to update the Firefox plugin (will also install the plugin for most other browsers, except IE)

High school/open in a new window open minimized Windows
IE 8 - windows XP.
Windows secondary/open in a new window open reduced to a minimum. How to open all the windows size?
Drag the window to the size you want. Close all other windows first and this one last. Windows remembers the size as long as it is the last window closed.

When you open an external link, a new window opens and displays the home page
Updated to the latest version (36.0 Linux) and now whenever I open a link from an external application to be steam E-mail IRC or any other source, instead of the page is displayed a new window will open and then load the home page. I tried the default browser to something else (which opened the links correctly) switching and vice versa, safe mode and even a refresh, but the problem persists.
I found this in the bug tracker.
Apparently it seems to be a problem with an old hack in XFCE or desktop environments possible on X in general, which is no longer supported in Firefox 36. A solution fast until they solve this problem, is to open a new terminal and enter:
sudo gedit /usr/share/xfce4/helpers/firefox.desktop
(replace gedit by any other text editor you use)
.. .and change the last two lines:
X-XFCE-orders = %B - distance "openURL (about: Virgin, new window)"; %B;
X-XFCE-CommandsWithParameter = %B - remote "openURL (%s)"; %B %s;
to read:
X-XFCE-orders = %B;
X-XFCE-CommandsWithParameter = B %%s;
then save the document, of course. This solves the problem for me immediately.

How the new windows open on different views?
When I open links in a new window, it displayed on the same monitor. In the past that it opened its doors on the last screen, Firefox was closed on. I tired the screen pass and closing in on my second monitor, it worked in the past but no longer works. I noticed this problem with the release of 32. I compare a lot of data therefore do not have to move the window to the other monitor to facilitate my day. Thank you.
With the link you provided, I found an add-on which open a new window in easier, another monitor master monitor, but I'm looking more for a solution within the parameters of Firefox. It's something I want to share with others who do the same job and when Firefox gets an update, it could go is no longer function. Thanks for the insight.

new window opens the second additional empty tab
When I open a new window (e.g. a connection to the screen or sth) I always get an extra blank new tab front.
its really annoying, because after registration on the empty tab in the new window remains open.
What can I do to stop this behavior?
its only on this pc. never had that before...What is the setting of the home page if you check the value of the browser.startup.homepage pref on the topic: config page?
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).
- Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode without failure.

Don't know what I did, but now, everytime I open a tab, the tab opens as it should, but it ALSO opens a new window containing the same information as my original window. (same tabs, etc.) Almost a duplicate of my original window. I searched everywhere for a solution, but fails.
