  I bought the new HP pavilion DM3 [external dvd player] with the new windows 7 Home premium intalled about 4 weeks ago. After the first round and all updates installed, real I tried windows backup on dvd - r media.

  I started windows backup, after whereas it wonder average wiriteable so I put the dvd - r inside, next step was to format dvd - r [little unusual, but I have no choice]... After succesfull formatting it starts to burn. After a few hours, he was still burning mode 54% without errors and progress too. I pull out the cable of the external dvd burner, the writing process has failed and on dvd was written about 1 cm of layer thickness.

  I tried 2 times again with the same result, but the different progress of burning 56% and 25%

  What should I do?

  My problem is the opposite of the OP, but the result is the same. Years of the use of previous versions of Firefox have conditioned me to open links in a new tab by selecting the second choice of right click menu without looking. After a week of trying to readjust in places reversed 'Open link in a new window' and "Open link in a new tab", I'm always unintentionally opening new windows instead of tabs every time after time. The point is, why should I have to adjust (or need a plugin external to solve your problem). YOU TEACHES ME HOW to DO THIS WAY, then why you changed it? Do you think that the reversal is most effective? A task force of new users select the new range? Do you have a taste of trial with Pepsi? Have you adopted Microsoft 'we know what you want better than you' policy? People in the drive of England on the left side of the road with the steering wheel on the right. Maybe it's actually a better way to do it.   I recently bought a HP Pavilion DV7, product number: LW174UA #ABA of my friend and decided to install a new operating system on it. My boyfriend does me a lot about what was wrong with it, other that he ran a little slow. I thought it was pretty cheap and I could easily throw this topic, rather than use Windows 8.1 Windows 7 x 64 x 64 which he had installed on it earlier and use it as sort of a backup on my desk.

  I installed a new copy of Windows 7 Professional x 64 on it, and when the installation is complete, I noticed I could not access the internet or use usb drives. I went into the Device Manager and discovered that a handful of decives had the symbol explanation of warning yellow triangle next to them. I looked the problem quickly and noticed most of them had error Code 28. He told me I need to install the drivers for the parties.

  Well, that shouldn't be too difficult. I found the WiFi driver and installed. The problem has been resolved (temporarily) and I could access the internet.

  After searching through forums, I discovered that my usb problem can be many different questions. Then, I came to the conclusion that an updated service pack (since I couldn't find the usb drivers) should solve the problem. No, the usb drivers still have not been properly installed. In addition to this, the internet now truns on and outside. I'll have access for a few seconds and then my computer tells me that I have not any conntections.

  Is anyone know what I got wrong or where I can find drivers that might solve this problem?

  I already went to the site of HP drivers and installed most of the pilots. Things like the finger print scanner, that I am not too concerned by at the moment so I jumped on those.

  The problem is one of 3 controllers different usb 3 that could have been used in your machine.

  So for all the devices that need drivers, click on each of them and display the ID of the equipment for them.

  I will guide you how to find the hardware for the USB controller ID...

  Click on the USB controller needing a driver in Device Manager,

  Then click on the Details tab in the upper part of the window of the usb controller.

  Now, you see a drop-down list of property and it is set by default to the description of the unit.

  On this list and select the hardware identification label.

• Windows Easy Transfer has not transferred images and music files.

  I have upgraded from Vista Home premium to Windows 7 Professional and none of my photos or music files have been transferred.  I had to do a clean install, everything went well at the end of the Vista of the transfer, but no pic files or music files came with it.  Is there a place I can look for them or they're just gone and I'm screwed by Microsoft?

  Never mind.  I found them.  They were the Windows.old folder on the C: drive.
