New z5 battery life

OK so "upgraded" to a Z2 Z5 weekend and I'm struggling with the battery life. I loaded this weekend and he gave me a life of 17hours. I've just loaded 100% now and it says 9 hours. It's far from 48 hours in the specifications.

I returned to the store where I bought it and they asked me to keep it a week to see if it gets better. As a comparison I've loaded my old Z2 and new Z5 yesterday and to sleep with now apps that no bluetooth data etc to the Z2 only showed 97% while the Z5 declined by 83% it's not normal, it is. The store tested battery and say its ok ruinning.

Is the battery so wrong?

Well I did a live chat with someone from Sony yesterday and using the "repair phone" in PC Companion seems to have solved the transmitter battery had drained almost from one day to the next and even go down after bluetoothing to the car this morning. Up to 100% load fingers crossed now if.

Have sen other topics concerning the battery life being poor after updates hoping so I don't have to keep doing this.

Critics of this mini are not too abundant, but I found a couple for the re-brand model, and the life of the battery when new, was, on average, about 75 to 90 minutes. Since you never more than 10 minutes BL, and it seems to work fine on AC, my guess would be a bad battery from the beginning. Too bad it's probably out of warranty, but you can try to contact them in any case to see if there is perhaps a battery recall.

You could try to calibrate the battery. Read this article and see whether or not you want to try it:

  • 5s short battery life iPhone, phone like new 6 months.

I bought my iPhone about 6 months ago. I have problems with the battery life. I plug all night. Unplug in the morning and about 4 hours he spends 100% to 40%, even without me using the telephone. I thought to buy a new battery from Amazon and change myself. I found videos on YouTube showing how do, and it seems very easy to do. Someone out there chaned their own battery before? Was it easy to do? And your phone has worked for you once you have changed your battery yourself?

Just thought I ask. I am one of these people if it's something I can do for my part, I do. Does anyone has an entry on the situation before I try this on my own?

    Hello

The battery on the iPhone is not replaceable by the user. The battery - if that is the real problem - is covered by the limited warranty of one year of Apple.  If the iPhone is out of warranty, Apple also offers a service of the battery. The cost for this varies across countries (currently $79 in the United States, for example).

However, as a first step, I suggest that you try to solve the problem of life battery. You can, for example, to consider measures such as:

If the problem persists, I suggest you contact Apple technical support or make a Genius Bar reservation for assistance in identifying / confirming the issue and, if necessary, to set up your service from the available battery options, time and cost.

  • New Satellite L850-142 - very short battery life!

    Hello world!

Yesterday I bought my new laptop and put it to charge right away all night without using it.
Today, when I am on, within 15-20 minutes, the battery life is down to 89%.

My question is, is this normal autonomy?

I already address energy conservation, brightness etc. so as not to lose the life of the battery.
It is my first laptop, so can someone please advise me?

    Thank you!

10% for 20 minutes, for me, is OK. I imagine that you will be able to use your laptop up to 2 hours of battery power. Of course, it depends on the parameters of energy and the way how do you use it.

Don t worry everything and not simply continue to test your new piece of hardware.

  • What is the battery life expected to a new stack in a Mac Book Pro?

What is the battery life expected to a new stack in a Mac Book Pro?  I am running OS X El Capitan10.11.3

I just had my battery replaced, and today, I looked at that and I got 7 1/2 hours on a charge.  This doesn't seem much.

Apple announced 8-9 hours on the 15 "MacBook Pro 2010. This is an extremely optimistic number in light, ideal operating conditions.

    Your 7.5 hours is fine.

  • The battery life on a stack of old vs new

Hi I just bought the HP Pavilion g4 (1100au) and run the battery check utility.

I noticed that the battery is already 6 months old. How is this affecting the life and capacity of the battery? And the warranty will cover the fact that the battery is already "old" purchase? (For example if it is less than expected performance for a 1 years exactly one year after the purchase, the warranty replaces the battery?)

Although there is no mention on the website of HP, some online stores, sales of HP Pavilion claim a battery life of just over 4 hours (not using the dvd player or playing graphic intensive games). Is this correct? What should I expect in a year, 2 years and 3 years?

    Thank you very much

Any site on the battery life and usage will tell you that it depends on the number of charge cycles and the level of support that keep you the battery in.

If you keep a battery to 100% it will dramatically decrease the life.  That's why a new battery will be delivered with a load of say 50% or 40%.

Get 1000 cycles or even 500 cycles a Li-ion battery is overly optimistic at best.  Old batteries would degrade over time so that the AMM would go to 0. They would be too hot for the charge cycles and have minor shorts that would be ignored by the jury of the battery.  A short circuit in a battery is a major problem.

Today, the batteries are chips in them, a diode to control temp, a lot of security.  If the smart chip detects the slightest defect in a battery, it will just stop it.  That's why you see seemingly good batteries just suddenly stop working.  Once the Mah side gets down to 50%, a battery could just stop at any time.

Spare batteries are not these safety devices integrated into them.  Most of them don't even have a diode temp. They show only a static temp all the time.  Then, they could short-circuit and ignite a fire, they could overheat and get out your laptop system load or worse.  I've seen worse, it isn't pretty.

I do not do anything to increase the life expectancy of my batteries, I just keep 100% of the fees and use them.  I'm lucky if I get two years for use on a battery.  I usually get a year and a half out of them. After that about 100 charge cycles, they start to degrade the mAh rating.  If they go to 50% without stopping, I just replace them.

Batteries are not yet considered to be a component, they are considered a disposable commodity.

  • New owner of smartwatch 3, only about 12 hours of battery life!

Hi, seems that I'm not the problem of battery life only experience on smartwatch 3. Just received the watch last week to use with my Xperia XZ, overall satisfied with the watch but the life of the battery.

Expected to last two days, but have misery through one day, software up-to-date, tried resetting and turning still wide screen, still not sustainable as it should.

Use it mostly for review, some applications and sometimes music.

My Apple Watch series 2 rated power up to 18 hours on the other hand lasts about two days, was expected at least on the SW3.

What is the problem, and have the battery gets worse with subsequent updates? Someone here suggested it could be lifelog app the cause, but have no experience with it before the last update.

    Any help is appreciated, thanks.

    trenzterra wrote:
A fix was just released yesterday evening, and the battery life is back to normal with lifelog!

Thanks for the info. Just updated earlier today and Lifelog reinstalled/activated on the phone, SW3 far, no battery drain and seams very stable batterylife, 12 hours and up to 66% with about 22 hours battery left . A happy field here.

Anyone else having this problem, updates to Lifelog and go to carry Android app and apps to sync again, to ensure that the update is synchronized to your SW3.

  • New iPhone battery drain fast

I just bought an iPhone brand new SE of Carphone Warehouse UK (boxed, sealed in original box/packagine Apple and retractable. I even checked build date for phone and it was built only 8 weeks, so I know it's brand new) and the battery is not lasting long. I did the usual: let the battery die, then plug in and wait until it is 100% charged to calibrate it. No bluetooth and very few use the matrices of the battery of his own volition after only 26 hours.

With my previous iPhone 5, under the same set of circumstances, it would take 64 to 72 hours to die. The main reason why I bought a new iPhone that is was because my old iPhone 5 was three years old and the battery life is almost exhausted after load/unloaded hundreds of times over three years, at the end of the iPhone 5 battery would die after about 34 hours.

How is it a brand new battery iPhone IS dying faster than an iPhone busy three year 5?

I have only had it a few days, can I get my Apple store to exchange it for another, or I'll have to go to Carphone Warehouse and get them to Exchange?

Or is it no fault at all and SE just terrible the battery last long?

The steps detailed here to try to see if they improve your use of the battery, especially disabling background App refresh:

    http://www.Apple.com/batteries/maximizing-performance/

Also download the autonomy on the App Store application and test your battery with it. If it is damaged the phone must be guaranteed and an Apple Store can check and replace if necessary.

  • DV9000 laptop battery life

I have a HP dv9000 series laptop for about 2 years and my battery is in poor condition.  It is typical of this battery life is only 2 years? Given that I keep my PC plugged in most of the time, he wears on the battery? I just want to know if I should buy a new battery or do I check to see if it is covered by the warranty.

    Thank you

I'll save you the trouble. Even if you get the longer warranty the battery is covered with padt 1 year generally not unless you have obtained the guarantee of store on top of the HP warranty. 2 years isn't a bad battery life. That's all what I expect to get. Battery life is governed by the number of cycles of discharge and duration and charges since. If you take a battery that is new in the box, it will be lower after 2 years when new even if you do not use. If you literally never use the battery you can remove it during the execution of the laptop on the sector. He unloads up to like 30% and store it in a cool, dry and dark place (but not in the refrigerator).

  • Satellite S50-B-12Z: battery life cycle Option does not appear in the eco utility

    Hello everyone.

I am facing a strange problem. The eco utility allows to work ok with win 10 on my S50-B-12Z satellite and I used the eco charging battery I've run mainly my laptop plugged in.

At some point, I need to do a system restore. I have re-installed the 10 victory and also the latest version of the eco utility downloaded from the Toshiba site. The problem is that when I open the utility eco, the choice of "battery life cycle", where you can select the eco reload or not, seems no more! So I find myself with the battery to 80% connected but does not support.

I already tried to uninstall and reinstall the utility or install an earlier version of it.

Is there something I could do in order the choice of "battery life cycle" to reappear or to cancel the State of charge of eco and leave my battery to charge again 100%?

    Thank you

I have the same problem with my P50 - A satellite. Battery-life cycle does not appear in the new eco Win 10 utility installed. Version is: 3.0.0.0006. Older versions do not work, I tried also.

More than 80% of maximum load, not 100% .

I hope someone has a suggestion. To 80% battery life is too short

  • Portege series, different on R100 and M100 battery life?

    Hello everyone,

I want to buy a new laptop with a high mobile work autonomy. The R100 and M100 are retained, but anyone know if there are differences in the life of the battery. I tested the two NBs to my dealer, but I have no experience of working with them over a long period.

    Goodbye, Tanya-LB

    Hi Tanya,

I had the honour to test these two laptops in our society. They are all two developed business model for great mobility and battery life. On one side you have the R100 with a Centrino ULV 900 MHz (ULV = Ultra Low Voltage) and a lithium-ion-polymer battery. This combination allows a battery life of 2 hours and with the second extra battery up to 6.4 hours.

On the other side, you have the M100 with a LV Centrino with 1200 Mhz (LV = low voltage) and lithium-ion battery. If you need that one unloading in use battery is approximately 4.5 hours with an extra battery up to very good 8.5 hours.

So in my opinion, these books are really well designed and complete specifications of high mobility. The M100 has the highest battery life and performance.

If you have any questions, ask me.

We could also see the factsheet on the Toshiba site

    https://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com

    in the menu products.

I hope this will help you.

  • Satellite Pro C650 - maximize the battery life

    Hello

I want to maximize the battery from Toshiba. I read the user manual. Following the instructions of the PC hybernates when the battery is still 3%. I tried to change the critical-battery level, but it does not allow below 3%.

What should I do to completely discharge the battery?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey,.

Why you want to change the level of less than 3% battery? I think that s useless because need new lithium ion battery doesn t 0% of discharge in order to maximize the battery life.

  • NB305 - what settings should I use to get 11 hours of battery life?

    Hello

looking for help with my new NB305-10F. I just bought the netbook and drained the battery before recharging. I disabled the netbook for recharging. This morning when I turned on the computer it says 8 hours - it was me running with option power saver - with the brightness of the screen to a minimum.

So, my question is, what should I do for gt 11 hours of battery life as told when I bought the netbook? I hope that someone will be able to answer my question!

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi willbar,.

I think you should charege/charging the battery up to 5 - 10 times to get the maximum battery life and only 1 or 2 times it charges s not enough.

Also the battery life expectancy is depending on the applications that you are running. 11 hours, you won't get that if you don't do anything on the netbook, until it turn off by itself, but if you navigate in Internet, write emails and watch videos, 8 hours is really good and you can be satisfied with this :)
