  If you compile your application in JDE 4.7.0 this will only work on Blackberry Storm devices. Because only these devices have device OS v. 4.7.0

  There is a rule, version JDE (equal to the version of the RIM API) to less than or equal to the version of the OS device (can be displayed under Options - all).

  You don't need special software.

  Just JDE (including device Simulator) and MDS Simulator ESS (to simulate the connection feature and internet electronic mail for Device Simulator)

• Newbee question: why a RTF model increases the size of the cells on the output

  We are new to BI publisher and work to the conversion of our custom reports to BI Publisher crystal. We currently use PeopleSoft 9.1 with 8.51.12 tools and are about to upgrade to 9.2 next year. Our office of BI Publisher comes bundled with peopleSoft and that our version of BI Publisher Core is 10.1.3.4.1. Then we use Office 2013. I started to look into these reports and found something that I do not understand:

• Extract newbee question

  GG experts OK another question.

  If a first single is up and running on a system of production and the need arises to stop the extract, make a change and restart.  Database changes made during the period that the extract is stopped will be lost?  I guess they would be, and the databases are now out of sync.  If this is the case how do you work around that?  Is the only way to take a time out and prohibit data changes while the extract is stopped?

  This is not true.

  When you restart extracted (power), it starts reading the old SNA where it was stopped/last control point. . This means that you do not lose the changes of database for the hour that extracted was arrested.  Only, you will notice a lag with extract when you start.

  I just watch about GoldenGate to evaluate to see if it will do what we want.  I have read a lot of information but have not fallen on the answers to some basic questions rolling in my head.  Any help would be appreciated. These are real newbie questions so I apologize if seem really Basic...

  The prod environment is Oracle CARS 10.2.4 on windows 64.  The new prod environment is Oracle 11.2.0.3 RAC on windows 64.  The test environment used to learn GoldenGate is Oracle 10.2.0.4 (no cars) on windows 64 as a source. It has a copy of the database of operational prod.  The target database is Oracle 11.2.0.3 (no cars) on windows 64.  The target is newly installed with a data base of departure yet created with nothing in it.  The goal is to use GoldenGate as 10.2.0.4 to 11.2.0.3 upgrade path.

  Question 1 - What Versions of GoldenGate?

  Of course, we will use windows 64 bit, GoldenGate 11.2.1.0.1, I guess GoldenGate 11.2.1.0.1 - for Oracle 10 g must be installed on the source, and GoldenGate 11.2.1.0.1 - for Oracle 11 g must be installed on the target?  It is this correct?  This seems obvious, but I don't like to assume anything.

  Question 2 - capacity replication and extract.

  The goal is to replicate the database to 10.2.0.4 on 11.2.0.3 and have an extraction process (probably go) is going to keep the 11.2.0.3 new database, synchronized with the 10.2.0.4.

  Is this possible?

  In the test environment, the 11.2.0.3 database is a new database has just grown.  There is not even the 10.2.0.4 patterns or storage spaces.  To replicate, how many the 10.2.0.4 database must be put in place?  I think the storage spaces must be created, and the users who own the schemas must be created, to match what is in the 10.2.0.4 source?

  Question 1: You're right, well if you have a MOS account, get the latest versions of OGG for your db/OS specific out there, on the site of the Patch.  There is a 11.2.1.0.12 for Oracle 11 g on windows x 64 and 11.2.1.0.4 for Oracle 10 g on Windows x 64.

  Question 2: OGG is not a tool for database replication, but DATA replication software.  You must create the target on the 11.2.0.3 objects db yourself, either with EXP/IMP, RMAN restore, etc.  There are suggestions to make a first loading here: http://www.ateam-oracle.com/?s=goldengate+initial+load and using OGG in conjunction with the initial load, you can capture changes to the data (and DDL for Oracle for Oracle, but stick with the basics of DML for now) here on the.  The link above has a guide to migrate too.

  Well, my friend, there are many ways.  You should know that each script has a 'trigger' in one way or another.  Some are just more subtle than others.  It's called an event and they come in a specific order.  Mouse down, focus, mouse upward, typo, validate, calculate to name a few.

  You could just put it in the calculate event as you wrote:

  Event.Value = event.value.toUpperCase () //event replaces getField() since the script method is put inside the field.  It stands for 'me '.

  Another solution would be to put it in the context of the event validate, where if the entry meets the requirements, event.value = event.value.toUpperCase)

  But my favorite would be the event of typing that occur whenever you press a key.  It would change letters to UC on keypress which is more appealing to the eye

  We have an IBM DS4400 SAN FC (FastT700) implemented with connections to fiber to two boxes of host controller running windows 2008 with Emulex PL1000 cards.

  We want to try and computer images virtual of a partition to boot on the SAN. Can we get VSphere (ESXi 4.1) on x 3650 servers connnect to the LUN via ethernet 'by' these machines to host FC connected?

  I see the documentation on how to configure a connection to a San, where the host hardware contains CF cards installed. Y at - it software middleware (iSCSI) that will allow me to do that through the boxes 2008 hypervisor connected?

  I suspect that this can only be done using the FC HBA in the 3650's connect directly via switch FC (zoning?) to the FastT700 controller?

  Let me know if this is not clearly explained. I'm trying to understand it in my mind that I will along\learn.

  ESXi 4.1 can boot from SAN - Fibre Channel, iSCSI and FCoE. If Windows servers can be configured as an iSCSI target, it should be possible. You must add the iSCSI target software. StarWind, iSCSIcake and others offer this feature. If the OS is Windows Storage Server while the ability is built into the OS.
