Newbee question - footer header and menus

What is the current practice, the best for creating a web site with compatible menus, headers and the feet etc.

I've read good and bad SSI and Dreamweaver libraries etc and would like to know where the people in the industry to turn to complete such a task.

I made a very simple site with php, www.canvasdoctors.com , but someone told me that how I did it was exaggerated and not correct.

I hope that I was clear.

Thanks for your time.

Ashley

According to me, who replied: Server Side Includes.

  • two dumb questions - file header and time saving

    1. How can I add a header in writing worksheet file.vi? (For now, it only stores a number of columes of data with each colume representing a single channel. "I want to put a header at the top that shows the names of the channels).
    2. can I store the date and time at which each data point is connected, as well as the data itself in a single file?

    You can open the "write to the spreadsheet File.vi", change it with a header entry that works to your liking and save it under a different name (do not overwrite the original).  Adding another table in spreadsheet String VI, a string concatination and an array of strings of entry for your headers is all that is necessary.

    As for saving the actual time for each data point, you will need to follow that with your data and add it along with the rest of your 2d data.  Write it to the File.vi spreadsheet doesn't have this built-in feature.

    Alternatively, I recommend you do the following:

    1 be sure to use the output waveform on any type of data read operation if it is available.  Familiarize yourself with this type of data complex that NEITHER is came up with, as it will really save you a lot of headaches and extra coding.  If the VI that makes your reading data does not support the type of waveform data, then you can always convert a waveform data.

    2. try to use Scripture measurement file Express VI.  You'll probably have more luck with that then write it in table vi.

  • CP8: Question title header and progress indicator are absent when published.

    Hello

    I use Mac and publishing as SCORM 2004 (also tried 1.2), responsive project and download of LMS Blackboard v9. When the question has published the headers and the progress indicator are absent from all slides.

    Thank you

    Veronica

    I have more access to the Blackboard. Just a suggestion: try to download SCORM cloud, to see if it's due to the CP file or the LMS.

    A question: do you have change you the main slides for questions?

  • Newbie question! Header and main envelope now separated! Help, please

    Hello. I'm really, really new to web design. I started with a free template and have made some changes. I've been messing around with the spry menu bars, and I don't think I'll use it right now. Somehow, I accidentally created a space between the header with the navigation bar and the main wrapper. It wasn't like this before. I don't know if it's a CSS or HTML error. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you.

    Where did you got this model of? It seems f__ked to sh_t.

    Anyway changing the #wrapper css - margin: 10px 70px automatic;

    TO

    margin: 0px 10px auto;

    #wrapper {width: 1000px;}
    margin: 10px 70px automatic; will focus div on the page.
    text-align: justify;
    text-transform: lowercase;
    line-height: 25px;
    }

    more a comment css is better written as

    / * Center div on the page * /.

    Not

    will focus div on the page.

    I know I need to move those:

    You can see (if you're not blind) that there is no option to drag.

    How to make appear? I googled a lot, but found nothing.

    Hi Chris,

    Go to the views-> click on "display rules". That should bring.

  • How to create a full page border, including the header and footer?

    Hello

    So, I'm new to Muse but I'm loving far! I am trying to create a border of 1 px around the entirety of my page, including the header and the footer, which surrounds the whole of each page (regardless of the specific height of the page). I tried to create the border on the master page, but on other pages, the border is that the size of the image of the master page, no matter how large, I put the master page.

    Is it possible to have an object extends through (and around) the header and footer and scale to the size of the page, depending on the amount of content there is on the page? Thank you!

    John

    Go to your master page, deselect all items, and then use the run command in the command band on top of the application window.

    Your second question: element use identical 2, which lie precisely on the other. Pin the element of punch to the top of the page and the second to the bottom of the page. If the page grows, it will look like a, item "long".

    Hello

    It seems to be a problem with the font you used.

    You used fonts of bubble- and if you check this font in Google Chrome it is cut and if you check in Firefox, it is.

    Please take a look at this link in Google Chrome and Firefox and you'll see the difference: http://www.google.com/fonts/specimen/Bubbler+One

    I suggest you use another font to set.

  • Header and footer displays does not correctly

    I'm at my wits end on this guys and girls so I really hope someone can help me with that. I am putting together a website and I can't see why the A-master page is not translated correctly when I saw it. The same thing is happening on the home page. As you can see the images in preview mode, there is a white space that should not be there. I have the guides all set up correctly and the header is not displayed any white space, so I have no idea why this is happening. Is this a bug? Help, please!

    Here are the screenshots showing how it displays in Muse vs how it displays in preview mode.

    I just wanted to send an update to let everyone know that I could get my landline number (after an hour with chat support) and a fr steps was clear, while the other has not been the case. Sticky foot was enabled when the browser window was enlarged vertically, it introduced the white space. Remove the check mark that box fixed this problem. About the header giving the white space, the tech support person took control of my computer because they were not present the same problem when I sent them my file which was very weird. They did some fiddling with the header and the grouping items in the header and were finally able to get the white bar to disappear when seen in preview and on a web browser. They could not give me a reason why he did this or why what they fixed. Thus, unfortunately not much to go on how to solve the problem otherwise that "tinkering with it until it works", which is frustrating at best.

    Thank you again for your willingness to help me. I hope your problem is fixed Barbara. If you haven't already done so, you should discuss your question support.

  • Strange gaps in the header and footer

    / * This hybrid layout tips
    1. from the lateral columns sizing based on the em is based on the user's default font size, you can be sure graphics in the columns accordingly. Built correctly, it is more accessible to those who need larger font sizes, since the width of the columns remains proportionate. If this is not desirable in your design, just change the width of a pixel size and do not forget to change the margins on the div #mainContent accordingly.
    2. given that the sizing of the side columns in this layout are based on the font size of 100% in the body element, if you decrease the overall size of the text by using a font size: 80% on the body element or the #container, do not forget that the column widths will reduce proportionally. You can increase the size of the margins on the side of the #mainContent div, and their widths to compensate for this.
    3. If the sizing of fonts is changed in different quantities on each div instead of on the overall design (ie: #sidebar1 is a font size of 70% and #mainContent has a font size of 85%), this will change proportionally each of the overall size of divs. You can adjust the base on your final sizing of fonts.
    4. the #container div is not necessary for this layout to the width of 100%. You can use to create columns of fake or to limit the width of the layout.
    5. it is not necessary to have the width of 100% on the #container div since, by nature, a div takes up 100% of the available space. Therefore, here, if you want to reduce the size of the global container - leaving perhaps a bit of margin on each side - is already available for adjustment.

    / * Sidebar1″ tips:
    1 be aware that if you set a value for the font size on this div, the width of the div will be adjusted accordingly.
    2. as we work in ems, it is preferable not to use the filling in the sidebar itself. It will be added to the width for browsers compatible standards creating a real unknown width.
    3. the space between the wall of the div and the items it contains can be created by placing a margin left and right on these items as seen in the rule ".thrColHybHdr #sidebar1 p.

    / * MainContent tips:
    1. If you give this div #mainContent a value of different size of the div # sidebar1″, the margins of the #mainContent div will be based on the font size and the width of the div #sidebar1 depend on the size of the font. You can adjust the values of these divs.
    2. the space between the mainContent and sidebar1″ is created with the left on the mainContent div margin regardless of how content div the sidebar1″ contains, the space of the columns will remain. You can remove the left margin if you want the #mainContent div text to fill the space of #sidebar1 when the content of #sidebar1 is complete.
    3. to avoid falling of float, you may have to test to determine the size of the image/approximate maximum element because this provision is based on the calibration of fonts the user combined with the values that you set. However, if the user has their browser game lower than normal font size, less space will be available in the #mainContent div that you see on the test.
    4. in the Internet Explorer conditional comment below, the zoom property is used to give the mainContent "hasLayout". This avoids several specific IE bugs that may occur.

    Your HTML code contains conditional comments for IE.  Try to reduce or remove the extra padding and see if that helps.

    / * place patches css for all versions of Internet Explorer in this conditional comment * /.
    .thrColHybHdr # sidebar1″, .thrColHybHdr #sidebar2 {padding-top: 30px ;}}
    .thrColHybHdr #mainContent {zoom: 1; padding-top: 15px ;}}
    / * the owner above zoom gives IE the hasLayout property, avoid several bugs * /.

  • Remove header and footer file

    Hello! When you open an HTML file in Acrobat is the path name of the file in the header and the footer automatically. How can I remove this?

    I went to header/footer and tried to update or to delete, but it is said that there is no other choice. How can I do this?

    In another question, is there a plugin that will allow me to "press enter" to move the body of text down in the PDF file, which is similar to Microsoft Word? I imported a bunch of announcements of the company of an HTML document and I am trying to space them 3 to a page and I need to move the text down to the next page break. Is this possible with Acrobat or a program affordable/plugin?

    Kind regards

    Kevin

    Have you tried to use the Touch Up text for each of your problems?  Touch Up text won't work automatically, but you can use it to manually change the existing text in the page.  Not sure about plugins that eliminate the headers/footers, although there could be a way in Acrobat help files that show you how to prevent it from automatically integrate web browsers on the converted HTML pages.

  • Problem with Notepad printing header and footer

    How can I get rid of the header and footer when I print something I wrote on Notepad.

    It does not show the on the notebook until I print it.

    In Notepad, use file > Page Setup to change the headers and footers.

  • 4620 prints extra blank page except for her print header and footer on the blank page

    4620 all-in-one, I am trying to print an email from the firefox browser, there is only a single page, but the printer prints 2 pages. The second page has only a header and footer on that printer. I only want a page and select 1 page, but still.

    Hello and thank you for the HP forums. To resolve this problem, you must first restart your computer. Holder of restarting the computer, unplug the power cord at the back of the printer, while he is always under tension. Unplug the power cord from the power source and wait 30 seconds. Plug the power cord directly into a wall outlet (not in a surge protector) and connect the power cord to the back of the printer. Repeat the print job. If the problem persists, try using a different browser such as Google Chrome or Internet Explorer.

  • How to set the header and footer settings

    HP Officejet Pro 8600 - N911a

    Windows 7 64 bit

    Printer wireless

    Using the Firefox browser

    I finally found where I can go to define the parameters of the header and footer: file then page setup

    However, I don't know what numbers to put in the top, bottom, left and right margins so that the header and the footer is printed when I print anything.

    It is only printing on the bottom half of the header at the top and the low foot.

    Also, how can I print only a "selection" of a page.  I highlight the part that I want to print only, but I don't know how to do this.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    You encounter formatting problems are a matter of the browser you use and the format that it allows. There are modules of your browser that may allow you more features, but that would depend on the application itself. Also you can see one of the other browsers (Chromeor IE and see if they have the features you are looking for.)

    In regards to printing a section of the page, I advise to use the tool captures (just type in the menu START and type this program) which will essentially allow you to take screenshots of areas only you want to print. You can then print or save, or do both.

    Let me know!

  • Record header and footer settings

    Can someone tell me please how to set the parameters of the header and footer and save these settings for printing so that I don't have to enter the settings area and make sure that my printer is always selected to 'print borders', which is what seems to make the header and footer still print on my page.

    Also, how utiilize the setting "custom" under headers and footers.  I want to divide the date and time on the page and I don't know if I can do it.  That's where I'm wondering if the 'custom' area comes into play.

    I have e-all-in-one-HP Officejet Pro 8600 printing.

    Thanks for any help!

    From what it seems that you have created multiple threads on the same subject. While this may get you an answer in a faster way, it deprives the other users to communicate with us. If in the future, you would create a single thread by number, it will be greatly appreciated.

    As I explained in this post: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printing-Issues-Troubleshooting/How-to-set-the-Header-and-Footer-Settings/m-p/2366241

    These parameters are not defined by software or the printer drivers and belong instead of the program that you use (in the case of the thread as I responded to Firefox).

    I hope that you have the information you were looking for and have a nice day!
